- suriyou, on 07/18/2008, -2/+8I really enjoy it now, I was part of the beta group for awhile, and I've gotten so used to it I don't want them to change it back. I think it's easier to use now, and it seems a lot simpler as well. I think the people complaining will get used to it and everyone will move on to the next stupid thing to complain about.
- TaterSalad77, on 07/18/2008, -0/+6One of the apps I miss most after un-jailbreaking my iPhone and upgrading to 2.0 is the MobileScrobbler app. I loved the fact that I could listen to songs stored on my iPhone and they would instantly be scrobbled to my last.fm account. Unfortunately due to Apple's restriction to background processes, I doubt we will see a scrobbling feature any time soon unless someone comes up with an ingenious way to get around this.

- naugrim, on 07/18/2008, -6/+10There is quite a bit of contention over the new design scheme on the last.fm forums. A massive portion of the user base is in an uproar over the removal of some features in exchange for others, the layout still leaves alot to be desired.
An interesting footnote: since the site went live (yesterday) a new last.fm group sprung up and has gained about 100 new members every 2 hours (doubled from 2,000 to 4,000 since this morning alone). It's name? "Bring back the old Last.fm" - DeathJux, on 07/18/2008, -7/+11I like the change. The AJAX-y chart system is nice.
It seems they're trying to get into the Facebook/MySpace niche with the redesign, as it takes the shoutbox and puts it at the bottom, in the main section, taking it from a fringe feature to a heavily emphasized one. If they moved the shoutbox back up and to the right again and had my tags/groups back to the left I would be happy. Never had any problems until last night, kept breaking the link. Probably a lot of people hitting the site. But under normal circumstances, love the app, and works great!

I do think they should have gone a different way. Maybe some vintage or something like their banner, but all around their site.

- dalesmatrix, on 07/18/2008, -0/+1Ok just tried it and if you access the US itunes Store in Australia using a US account, download the app then re-sync your iPhone, last.fm is now on your iPhone. Works a treat too, listening to Interpol on it as I type!
