is getting old, if I gave a nickel to every site soliciting money, I'd be broke--oh wait, I'm already broke - aaronlidman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i think it's preaty damn good for anyone who doesn't know about most of these proggys, unlike those of us who know it all of course.
+digg - PhilBradley, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Thanks for the comments that everyone has made regarding my page. Just a few responses:
Dodgeit got added yesterday.
Bugmenot was added today.
Sneakemail was added today.
With respect to the short description of Digg - because I was/am adding a lot of links quickly I have tended to take descriptions from any 'about us' section I find. However, if you don't think that it's accurate I'm happy to change it - please suggest a short description and I'll use that instead.
The 'give me money to keep this free' is tired, I agree. Equally however I do get hit with excess bandwidth charges if I go over what is allotted to me, and while I'm happy to spend time and effort creating something like this I'm less than impressed at having to pay a hosting service for the privilege! However, it's not obligatory to donate - far from it; I'm just glad that you find it useful.
I'm certainly considering the idea of turning it into a wiki; it would make my life a tad easier!
Once again, thanks for all your comments - they are appreciated. - masterzora, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0@Phil:
What's wrong with what's on the faq?
"Digg is a technology news website that combines social bookmarking, blogging, RSS, and non-hierarchical editorial control."
Nothing could say it better.
Plus, people might actually catch the idea that Digg is, ya know, a technology news site! OMFJ, who woulda thought? - YoshoKatana, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's like a directory for the internet! See, if AOL, Yahoo, Google, Microsoft, etc had something like this in their "portals", then they would see much more usage.
- davidmsc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Handy resource -- worth a digg -- thanks!

regardless of what the "about us" section says, this is a site run by people for people. it has become much more than a "tech news" website. if the people want it promoted, it gets promoted, regardless. so shove it up you're ass, no one wants you here."
Ummm, you may not want them here but I'm sure Digg is happy to have their traffic and their google ad clicks. Also I want them here which proves you wrong. I prefer it when other people complain because then, I don't have to. - stewartsteve, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Love the thistothat.com link - been looking for something that useful for a long while!
- Tufriast, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Holy god, this is pretty damn sweet. digg worthy!
- theone3, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Indeed. This could be well wikified..
- Ianmacisaac, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0dodgeit.com wasen't on that website.
- Gneisbaard, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0digg for the 'find music similar to" link on this list.
- PhilBradley, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah, that makes sense to me; I'll make the change to the description. People may be interested to know that I've also set up a weblog to cover the 'I want to' list; that way it's not going to be necessary to keep coming back to the page to check for updates.
It's at http://philbradley.typepad.com/i_want_to/ - RandomSkratch, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0also forgot www.bugmenot.com
I didn't see a "be a ***** disturber" section..:-P - Presentlight, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0No website is perfect but the format is unique for a links website. I digg.
- nugget, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Very nice website. dugg
- aiiee, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0nice effort. I went through the entire thing and couldn't find anything of interest to me. cool.

Bah. Killing her is easy, what people need help on is successfully covering it up. - gamabunta, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0"*gah* and the news is *where*?
Digg isn't for a big load of resources and lists; Digg is for technology news.
And, no, "news to me" != "news", so don't even try that.
This has been a Public Service Announcement.
Keep Digg Clean!"
Too bad there isn't a link for something to remove flamers from Digg. - masterzora, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0@gamabunta:
It wasn't a flame. I made no attack on *anybody*. I was informing you as to the purpose of Digg, which can be found at http://www.digg.com/faq, http://www.digg.com/ (when not logged in), and http://www.digg.com/submit .
But, even still, if you don't want to hear it, just click the "X" next to my post and/or moderate my comment to "-2 Flame" and *poof* I'm gone. - snapya, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0that was *****
- deadlychicken, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0@tehtemper: QUIT SPAMING no one wants to read your ***** web site, so STOP ADVERTISING IT IN EVERY POST.
