I'm keeping KDE 3.5.9

forums.opensuse.org — I had never seriously considered using Gnome, but now I am beginning to believe that it is actually better than KDE4. Else I'll use Xfce4 (many of us are looking for exit strategies from KDE4 now). A way MUST be found to save KDE3.5 or at least most of its features. It has been said, and I agree, that KDE3.5 is the best DE of any OS.

  • InorganicMatter, on 08/01/2008, -0/+1No. Technology must progress. The KDE project is going through a radical change and the associated growing pains. Plasma is going to offer a graphical foundation to rival Apple's Quartz, it just needs a chance. This talk of a KDE 3 fork is just outrageous; you people sound like the ones trying to save the oil industry instead of progressing to new forms of energy.
  • siar, on 02/11/2009, -0/+0You are right I'm using 3.5.9 forever too! I know alot of people who feel the same way regarding kde4 it was simply a disaster, I read Linus has ditched kde too now.
