    I agree with jaded, this is common knowledge. I usually change the extension to *.renametoexe

Second, a lot of people using Gmail already know this simply because Gmail is an invite only service at the moment and mostly tech literate people have obtained invites, although now the invitations have been so widely spread and common it's very easy to obtain one.
