I know the blog mentions this, but since VideoDownloader saves the files as FLV you can watch them whenever you like just like AVI files as long as you have the Flash Player installed. I use the FF extension 'video downloader', and it seems to be saving the files as ordinary .avi files. In any case, I can watch them with VLC player, or WMP or Winamp, just like any other .avi file.
I just click the little icon that appears on the status bar, and check the .avi setting in the dialogue box. Works every time.
