- UnknownDevil, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11So if none of my stories ever make it to the front-page, I'm an even bigger loser than I thought?? Damn.
- rabbott, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7when you come to the digg home page you won't see most of the features covered in the article.
i maybe categorized as a lurker, but i can't remember the last time i found myself browsing through the category structure. i may cycle through "videos," "podcasts" and "news," but honestly the categories are a lost cause for me.
i digg straight off the home page or it's subsequent pages. the top 10 module on the left has been great to surface additional stories, but those are "most popular" and not "most recent."
for some i imagine the article is relevant, especially to the author who took a loooong time to write it. maybe he's hoping for an evangelist j-o-b from digg.
...but for me, the article did not speak to my habits at all and i visit digg at least once a day. for the most part i contribute by commenting and digging on stories - michaelGregoire, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Interesting post charlesrh. Thanks. It shed some light.
- D3koy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I've been on digg for a year or so now, and I just got my first article on the front page a few weeks ago...
- desenso, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5Well written article
- Bobalobabingbon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3So when person A submits an article @ 1 pm, and person B submits the same article @ 1:05 pm, person B gets to the front page. How does that happen? And it does happen.....
/runs away - madskjaer, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3A pretty good analysis... Heads up
- stupidfathead, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0And then we all sit around and bitch about typos, grammar, and who's an idiot.
~ Cheers ~ - guruofinfo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wow that was a very well written article. It really puts everything in perspective for people and if they are really looking out it may help them get a front page story. Thanks for the great info. I will have to make sure and read it over a few times so the info soaks in.

You’ve gone on my xmas card list. thanks.
- mindcrime, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1/me is tempted to "bury" this for use of the vacuous term "Web 2.0" in the headline.
- Notyavgkat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I so want to make it to the front...is this like the how-to guide ? Friends Welcome! Yeh that's it...friends are the key!
- Geckomind, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3Stating the obvious...
- Ulvund, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0The description is just a string of buzzwords and the article has no explanations.
- PeTeRZz, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1I pretty much already knew all that. But whatever.
- ThePet, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2How does crap like this get to the front page?
*ducks* - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -8/+1Nice article. Similar to what I wrote here:

Once you get into "Upcoming", which takes about 15-20 Diggs in 5 hours or less, you're pretty much set. - UrfTheWog, on 10/12/2007, -12/+5zzzzzzzzz
- ABadInAlbany, on 10/12/2007, -12/+4circle ... jerk!
- ryland2, on 10/12/2007, -17/+6You really need to die
- tim507, on 10/12/2007, -13/+1im hungry...just sayin
- Brahma, on 10/12/2007, -14/+2-1 for that.
I did a quick search. Not even 1 in 10 make it to the front page. - LordSnooze, on 10/12/2007, -17/+4The other way is to put the letters d-i-g-g in your title!
