- datagod, on 10/12/2007, -2/+17Hmmm...maybe it will be a channel where you can watch what people are searching for. "Hey honey, whats on GTV tonight?" "Eh...just Lou down the street looking for some more pumpkin related porn"...
- CasaMan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4uuh - didn't arstechnica think about http://current.tv
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3As long as it doesn't look like google video...
- pixelwerx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Considering all the Google fanatics in the world, I see very little mentioned in blogs or the press about Google's Current TV, which is from a content standpoint, the most viewer interactive channel in production.
Much of the content and most of the broadcast decisions are made by Current TV viewers through their website.
Is most of the world just not getting this channel? - pcgeek101, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I want broadband TV service that I can watch on my PC ... live, streaming video. Of course I could use a capture card in my PC, but I don't want to pay for cable or satellite service. Still, I think the idea of Google having a TV station is sorta cool.
- diecastbeatdown, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3well google sponsors current, but it is not "google tv"
- JayRod, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Google is expanding in different areas they have never touched. It's a good thing that they are trying to improve on something and make it better, i.e. Gbuy. But on the other side they are spreading to other areas and perhaps not concentrating much on their search engine.
- nucleocide, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Can we please stop googling potential google hardware which will never make it to market?
- turbopro, on 10/12/2007, -5/+7I wonder how long it will be in beta............
lolz - zzyxx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Actually, I saw an ad on PBS that was by google. I personally, by chance, viewed it, while my tv was on and I was making dinner. Oh, and here is an internet version of it, and some words about it.

Dugg. - gookie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2After the flopness of google video store, I wouldnt be expecting anything huge.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5I think I would just get plain tired of seeing Google around every corner. They need to learn from MS that people don't like the all-invasive companies. It gets old.
- cooltom2006, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1P.S No Digg
- cooltom2006, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Its just a romour..Or an April fools.
Google OS was a rumour...has it come true? No! - jasonsfakename, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5When will they stop and focus on making what they have better? Soon we will all be driving Google cars while wearing google brand underwear on the way to the premier of Googles big movie! Enough is enough...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I've obviously offended the Google-obsessed...
- krum0786, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I see those all the time. They have them for all the Nova episodes
- krum0786, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I would think that if they were building an online DVR, then they'd build it into Google Video.
- kotatsu, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Just what I was thinking. Regular TV is hardly super clean, but Google Video... AKK.. you can count the pixels.
- MrUnderbridge, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I agree, they've neglected their search. But I guarantee that will stop now, since Ask.com fired a shot over the bow.
- zzyxx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1So it's true.
- cooltom2006, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I agree
- tomskag, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1i watch google current all friggin day.
i must be ahead of the times - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0jasonsfakename got it exactly right. Scroll up to see what I mean.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0after the grainior that is google video i don't trhink people will fall for google tv
-- Hochy Lora - BBeerB, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Well as far as getting a live tv broadcast, there is Sopcast, PPLive, PPstream, MySee. They are all based in Asia, so getting a channel in english could be an issue. It comes in handy, when lets say.... there is a Champion's league soccer game that you want to watch and you are stuck in the office, but don't want/forgot to Tivo.
- garyploski, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1I know it's a day early but does anyone else smell that? ...Is this an April Fools joke on arstechnica's part due to 4/1 being on a Saturday?
- phuture84, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0the double ctrl tap for searching on Gdesktop works/looks nice, so maybe ....just maybe...there is a chance that it would even look good. I hope that they put G in front of every show. I can't wait to see the next episode of GNumb3rs.
- ANorton, on 10/12/2007, -9/+5April Fools.
- szelij, on 10/12/2007, -11/+6Dugg. Its from arstechnica.
- chrosr, on 10/12/2007, -5/+0Is it an expansion of current.tv, or something completely different?
- vertex, on 10/12/2007, -10/+3Dugg because it says google in the title.
- sundancekid503, on 10/12/2007, -9/+2Google TV? I'm not feeling lucky.
- DannyPage, on 10/12/2007, -9/+2You and (Dugg - 1) people...
