- jhofman, on 10/10/2007, -5/+95Great. Now where's my freakin' g-drive?
- Stradenko, on 10/10/2007, -1/+59Google Search is no longer in beta.
- 1derfulWally, on 10/10/2007, -1/+40They should put ads into your presentations. I bet that you could sell a lot of male enhancers and hair growth products at the average business meeting.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+36 I wonder, where will they place the Google ads?
- TheTap, on 10/10/2007, -2/+28This is typical Google and it's a good thing. Google doesn't wait until every option imaginable is in place. They'd rather get it into the hands of users right away and let you start using it. Features will be added as time goes on. Give it time and it will improve.
- jer084, on 10/10/2007, -2/+24I'm actually pretty excited about this one. As soon as they introduce some simple animations or multimedia support, I think I'll be on board.
Some sort of easy integration with Google Images would be pretty solid too... - mhusson, on 10/10/2007, -0/+21Google Reader came out of beta today.
- NSMike, on 10/10/2007, -0/+19Picasa and Google video integration would be nice.
- 1derfulWally, on 10/10/2007, -2/+20I'm going to compose a killer presentation about why Powerpoint sucks.
- nodonoug, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14Hello Microsoft.
- merr, on 10/10/2007, -4/+16No love for Keynote? Hopefully it's coming...
- j3one, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12hehe already live baby
http://docs.google.com/TeamPresent?fs=true&docid=dcfndjxb_38fk65jb&pli=1 - maddskillz, on 10/10/2007, -3/+13This is useless without starfade
- pw378, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12Yeah, centralizing large files suck. I would much rather email a 15meg presentation to a dozen people, have them all contribute minor changes and then mail the files back to me to manually merge. Nothing is as nice as having lots of copies of the same file sitting in everyones inbox.
- dafragsta, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11 <Balmer> That's it! What the ***** are we gonna do now! Game over man! Game over!
Google is serious about this internet desktop thing aren't they? The centralization of everything is starting to be a bit scary though. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10grr @ ignorant digg trash digging down. Nothing wrong with some1 linking a similar article in their lang ffs.
- exscind, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10Right here. http://www.getgspace.com/
- phlux, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8And my flying car dammit!
- sovereign3, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Yeah, the exclusion of most multimedia could be a deal breaker. But I'm guessing they'll incorporate it sooner than later.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Actually, your "some1" typo on digg is more worrisome.
- fkr3, on 10/10/2007, -5/+11No professional would use Google Presentation to give a presentation either....
- Fayettemat, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7Keynote is an awsome app but sadly most people use powerpoint so I dont know when they will or if they will support keynote and you can always export to power point using keynote :)
- techpr, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6No support for .ODP files (yet).
- Navicerts, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5It went after a few tries. The interface is OK, shows the PPT in a browser window of course, even in "presentation mode". I do like that there is a chat window on the right hand side so you can give an online presentation. However, I sent the link to someone to join the show and they needed to log into thier Google Account™ in order to take part :(
Not a bad start. - arjung, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4to be fair, google does not put ads in all of its products. google news or maps or earth anyone? for the rest of it, there's ABP!
- useful, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I love the collaboration features. I wonder why they only have chat in the presentation mode. Kind of nice to be able to chat with each other in the spreadsheet app.
- anarchitecton, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I think this this is great.
I would love them to add the possibility of templates in Google Docs & Spreadsheets. It's in a lot of people's whislist... - ThatsUnpossible, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2007/08/simple-way-to-get-more-storage.html
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5well be sure to hid in your mums basement with a tinfoil hat duct taped to your head.
- archer104, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4Actually duct tape reduces the shielding efficiency. Use gum.
- crracer506, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2GOOGLE = Amazing

- asaturn, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2google presentations still has the bug where no matter what you do, the presentation is boring.
- rasterbator, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I got your gDisk right here:
http://gdisk.sourceforge.net/ - arjung, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1you can... that's been a part of google spreadsheet since at least may.
- j3one, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2This is cool.. I like the idea of presenting it online. And I dont see why they can't incoreperate document sharing, video streaming (maybe you-tube/googlevideo based? and flash animation support...
- alexdemers, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Oh, it'll be there I'm not worried. They already have odt and ods.
- themoosejuice, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1WORKS WITH GMAIL
I can now open powerpoint slides right in gmail without downloading them. Nice! - greg9683, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Along with listening to feedback from the end user to better customize the product to the user needs.
- ameba, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1I love Google, but Zoho is much better, in my opinion.
- picsectionpleez, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1how many options do you need for a slideshow?
- michaelb1, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2especially at the Halliburton annual "New Opportunities in War Zones" meeting.
- coldskool, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1meh, speed, meh, meh
- Apriz, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0here try Moyea PPT to DVD Burner
http://www.dvd-ppt-slideshow.com - gbrew56, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0how do I make a chart?
- ljin, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0To add audio narration to the presentation, just enter the presentation URL on myplick.com, which then gives you a slideshow that you can add audio to.
- whitewash, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0The thing is, I don't think they're trying to BE PowerPoint. This is meant for fast, collaborative presentation building. Do you really need flying text and fading images to make a good presentation? It's about conveying information, not looking flashy. I'd say 95% of the PowerPoint presentations created every day are nothing more than text, bullets, and a few static images. Microsoft can have the 5%.
- Zap2, on 10/10/2007, -1/+1yes...and now MS can die.
as soon as google adds all the extras the PP, Exel and Word have...everyone can dump MS office
(Or use OpenOffice...or iWork if you have a Mac) - picsectionpleez, on 10/10/2007, -2/+1You're one of the few smart ones...
- tdelet, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Seth is pitching nonsense. He's talking about a particular kind of presentation, not the kind of presentation that is common is real life business. He's talking about showmanship and props! Not making a presentationing.
