Google Pack? - What is your piont Google?

pack.google.com — Correct me if I'm wrong., Why is Google trying to wow the masses by disturbing software that you can get semi-freely from the net? Crap software people would be nuts to install like Norton Antivirus? What is your angle Google? What is the point? The Google Pack is a complete waste of time. LAME!!
