Why are people supporting apple crap? Every generation of their hardware and software is totally incompatible with eachother, forcing their few users to upgrade on a fast schedule, apple doesn't offer backwards support for os x even 2 revisions ago, when ms just stopped supporting windows 98 this year.
Apple fudges their numbers (a g4 was almost 2x as fast as a pc a few months before the intel mac came out, and now with an intel cpu that was marginally better than pentium d came out apple became 4x faster than it was) amazing!
Wost of all apple convinces people that pcs even take a long time to set up (even mac os has a welcome screen, and it takes no longer to get through it on a ms pc) compared to macs, when their tower computer is equivalent to the average pc for number of cables, boxes, etc.
Sure, I may not agree with how microsoft tries to dominate stores, and tries to force them to sell windows on every pc, but one can still get a pc without windows, or build one.

I saved the image that had the key on it, but when I went to open it, it was blank - no numbers. ***** HELL. I guess I should have print-screened? How do I go back and look up my key? MS is telling me my allotment of keys has been met and won't show me the key again that they just showed me.

I wonder if these keys will work after Vista is released (yeah too much to hope for). I don't really even care about Vista, I'm never going to touch it, even with a 10 foot pole, unless I have to. Here's to hoping the switch from XP will be easier to Ubuntu than Vista, so Microsuck can finally go to hell.

Error establishing a database connection
This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can't contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host's database server is down.
* Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
* Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
* Are you sure that the database server is running?
If you're unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.- sporky, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0I get a similar error message. It looks like it's trying to make it's database connection to my proxy. Either my proxy isn't configured correctly, or Wordpress has a braindead design that isn't compatible with proxies. If anyone knows what the problem is, please chime in.

For those who like to play with new technology, know how to install an OS and dual boot: go for it. Vista is pretty nifty and usable. Keep XP and dual boot so you'll have your reliable OS to fall back on.
For those who aren't into technology and just use the OS when you buy a computer and never think to change: don't bother with RC1. But don't complain about it if you haven't used it.
For the curious: I say sure, give it a try! you might have to learn some new things along the way, but it's a good experience. Just make sure you have your windows XP isntall discs or recovery CDs or whatever so you can go back if you don't like Vista. I do suggest learning how to repartition you HD (without having to wipe it) so you can keep your current XP install. That would only be true if you were trying to upgrade--if you wanted to do a fresh installation on a clean partition (which most people would want to do with an operating system that is still in beta), you need to boot to the dvd.
