- Kamau, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Check it out. I have met more people in the time I've spent on meetro than i have in the past 7 months in Chicago.
- emocean, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Once it works in Canada locations, I'll try it
:: - karloz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i like the way it works, only problem is that i don't have a lot of people near southern california, it integrates also with AIM, MSN, ICQ, Yahoo Messengers, and that's cool, maybe it need a little more funcionality but it's a cool idea
- BenBradley, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Who wants to sit in front of the computer? With Meetro, you get a community of real people that are right outside your door. Stop reading this. Get Meetro and get away from the computer. Very cool. Highly recommended.

- esa354, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i did use meetro - and once its all over europe it'll be great. especially at an airport.
- TYPEYOURNAME, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I've been using Meetro among other chat programs and Meetro is one of my favorites. You can see who you are talking to before you even begin chatting. The software is constantly updating so if you don't like it now, give it a little time. There's something for everyone there.
- HoneyWired, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I love living in Chicago because of Meetro!
- md00d, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I have been told they have Canada and European support in a new build they just pushed this morning.
- traumer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Meetro is a great tool to meet people with. It is a little slim in my area (Seattle) but I have met great people from the Chicago area and once their membership swells it will be an awesome tool.
The people on there now are very friendly and have several times welcomed me to 'their' site. I recommend starting to use it now. - EDIO, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Meetro is amazing...Need I say more? This sophisticated peice of software allows me to meet local musicans in my area, chat with friends far away, or simply search for new buddies. Chatting with friends is now twice the fun. Rather than those "ICON based chat programs, I can post funny pictures, serious emotions, or chose to post a icon of choice. Not to mention, if your entire buddy list is compiled of close friends, It makes meeting-up an easy convenience. Its reliable, fun, and in this writers opinion, the future of social networking. ~ Chris S. - Indianapolis (Meetro Screenname: Christopher)
- arulprakashar, on 02/13/2009, -0/+0If you want a website a social network which is the indian version of Facebook...and helps you learn something rather than spend most of your time wasting by sending useless application requests then head over to
http://indianbee.com
its my better social network which allows you to learn something - dark4venger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Awesome stuff, md00d!
- Sushubh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0being from India does not help me with mitral yet but i think the future is pretty bright. the possibilities of finding someone near your location is good with this kind of application...
- Andir, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I would assume it's all the pictures
- ksheeeep, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Meetro could be the start for something big. You've ain't seen nothing yet what location integrating services can do.
- zephyrsyndicate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That kicks ass, md00d :)
- misamiyo, on 06/13/2008, -0/+0i dont think this social networking site will sell, i don't hear anything from this. is it new?
- Huze, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Strange. The same holds true for "randyzaia":

Coincidence? - shakey77, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I've used it for a few months now and like it.
- Huze, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Guys, this is MAJOR spam. Check out the "Member Since" date of some of these "posters". They all joined today. Shame on you Meetro, shame on you.

The list goes on and on.... - Web_Weasel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0No Mac or Linux version yet but they are working on it.
- randyzaia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Um, I'm not the one hyping a product on Digg - I'm just pointing out what's going on here. Anyway, I like Meetro - it's a cool product with good UI, and would actually be useful if they had any users.
- randyzaia, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Please note that every single positive comment on this post is from a completely new Digg user, most of whom have Digged a grand total of one article, i.e. this one. Spam spam spam spam spam. Nice work, Meetro PR!
I'm also guessing it was Meetro themselves that floated that "rumor" a month or so ago that Google was going to buy them. - zephyrsyndicate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0haha.. Albet :)
- synystar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Well, I for one stopped using it within 5 minutes of the installation. It doesn't offer any way to connect through a proxy (i'm only willing to dedicate a couple minutes to finding settings which should be intuitive, so if there is a way, make it obvious Meetro) and then it crashed. I didn't bother opening it back up.
- thaumata, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0What I have always enjoyed the most about using Meetro is the way the users really do come together, whether it's to celebrate someone's birthday or to help promote the site.
There are sites I've used for five or more years where I STILL know fewer people than Meetro has brought me in the last few months alone. And everytime someone signs up, I have one more person to chit chat with and visit. Having just moved to a new suburb, it's been nice to actually meet some of my neighbors that I might have missed otherwise. The networking is really fantastic.
If there is nobody on Meetro in your area, you just have to be proactive. Post the link in a few of your boards and see what happens. I have six new neighbors by me just from a short bulletin I posted. We're all going out this weekend.
So sure, I've signed up to digg this link, but I'm a real girl. You wanna talk to me? Get yourself Meetro and come say hello! My username is the same there and you'll find me on most nights, near Chicago. - jooooby, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Meetro is working on some great stuff. You guys should all try it out!
- aardwolf, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0You guys know, it's really funny. I read all the comments here, and the first half of them I was thinking to myself the whole time "This sounds like preprocessed AstroTurf... It just sounds like something a market-droid would come up with if they tried to pimp their product while trying to sound legit"... Yeah, OK, so here is a review from a REAL user, check my profile I've been here since December '04:
Sounds cool, but I won't use it until others in my area are using it. Then again others in my area aren't going to use it until there are more locals on. Chicken and the egg. Great idea though. I spanned the radius to 1,000 miles and found 50 people. Wow..... 50.
That and I'm not sure if I trust my location with these people. Sure their TOS sounds nice now, but it can change at any time. And if this thing ever does hit critical mass, it will be filled with 'location based ads'.
Nice try, but if you really want to meet someone into comic books in your area, hang out at the comic shop.
[/end rant] - emocean, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0undugg... shady stuff going on meeteo
- kagan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Before discovery of light or before using Meetro.. both are darkness.
- md00d, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Random meetro moment. I'm here at a conference in San Francisco and I just noticed the founder is speaking and he appeared 'local' to me. Great stuff.
- thatedeguy, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Thats all well and good if you live in Chicago or some other Metropolis, but I live in North Dakota. Give this program about 10 years and It will actually be usefull for me.
