I wasn't sure if you could put a direct link to a zip file in Digg or not. - robmiller99, on 12/07/2008, -0/+1big thanks there
http://whatisspyware.org/ - dbr_onix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1After it finishing/unzipping, it turns out it's 100MB uncompressed
- Ben² - Koldark, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Downloading now and will be installing on my USB key.

- puttly, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0does anyone know any other usb drive utilities that are better/just as good as this one? or is this as good as it gets?
- puttly, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0ill host it when i get home from school ^^
- Unkel_Slam, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Moek Tech Show
- puttly, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's really personal preference, i suggest just going to http://www.portablefreeware.com/ and compiling a bunch for your needs ^^
- jeffl8n, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0heads up, the portable firefox on there is still 1.0.6. There's an updated version here: http://johnhaller.com/jh/mozilla/portable_firefox/
- ajcannon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The whole MikeTechShow website has some very useful tips. I've been listening to the Mike Tech Show since episode 3 and his podcast ranks right up there with TWIT and Diggnation
- BxBoy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0can it make the USB flash drive bootable?
- EnzanBlues, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I digg for the direct link. Nice find though!
- Alaerus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Good utilities, I really like being able to get this all in one download. Also some other good things on this site, well worth checking it out.
- slapout, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Also, GIMP & Photoshop are portable as well"
I've found that Blender (at least the Windows version) is portable as well. Just copy the folder to the thumb drive. - meander, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i dont see any antispyware antivirus stuff here, am i missing it somewhere? the title said it had some
- antiTRACE, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0for all of you people bitching about the speed of the direct link above, how about reading the article for the mirrors
nice digg - dbr_onix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Quite a lot of programs that have installers are portable I found (after a format, the programs I installed on the second drive still ran)
I remeber WS_FTP running fine, but theres probobaly better options than that.. Also, some will make registery enteries etc, so aren't truely portable, but they work of any PC, just might leave some settings etc
Anyway, cool link :)
One thing thats not very obvious is the filesize of the stuff zipped is 64MB, unzipped it'll be about 75 I guess (It's just started downloading so I'm not sure)
"how about someone else host this file i would download it but i'm not waiting for the slow ass connection"
Whoever hosts the download will be slow if your connection sucks.. It's going 100kbs here, which is okay, just use a download manager if it's slow
- Ben - stanleyfresh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hmmm.... for developers, MingW Developer Studio (bundled with the C++ mingw compiler, of course) is portable, too. Just install, copy folder to another location, remove uninstall file(s) from copied folder, then put it to the USB & you're codin C++ on the go! Also, GIMP & Photoshop are portable as well. its under the security directory - r00ted, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yea, it is quite "heavy" so what I did, was went through and only put the stuff I'll use onto my drive. A lot of that stuff isn't really necessary. But it's a good download anyways :) Start a whole new idea of "USB-friendly" applications lol.
- frankeinstein, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0There's a great list of portable freeware here.
http://nedwolf.com/Freeware-Portable.htm - navaburo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0counterstrike (versions 1.0 to 1.5, those w/o steam) is also portable
copy the folder to a flashdrive (a big one!) or a cd
BLAM! its portable/clonable
note, it runs GREAT after 3 min or so of realy bad fps, just the first time maps or models load its slow. - shanafme, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0meander, all of the spyware stuff is under the "security" directory.

- [Lep], on 10/12/2007, -1/+0A free zip file? Do you usually for pay for them?
- winroc, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0How about a direct link to the download?
