- tEhKewleSt, on 05/08/2008, -4/+42Have you guys heard of this new "Napster" program all the kids are using these days to download FREE music?!?!?!? Apparently it's all the rage but Metallica is PISSED.
- InsaneMachine, on 05/08/2008, -2/+19take your spamming off digg
- Fatcheeseguy, on 05/08/2008, -3/+17firefox + downloadthemall + mediafire = faster downloads > megaupload, rapidshare.
- MBHockey, on 05/08/2008, -3/+13filedropper?
- matt.rubin, on 05/08/2008, -1/+7oh man i just downloaded "all star" my favorite song!
- jgtg32a, on 05/08/2008, -1/+7Hamachi?
- ravage86, on 05/08/2008, -0/+6You mean RIAA?
- Lith25, on 05/08/2008, -0/+6I don't want to register...
- Hanker, on 05/08/2008, -2/+8Lets hope the MPAA doesn't find out
- SubaruPowah, on 05/08/2008, -1/+6That was just dumb.
- ELMONO, on 05/08/2008, -0/+4Love Hamachi, easiest way to VPN to your home or work.
- Premier, on 05/08/2008, -4/+8No rapidshare or filefront?
- jgtg32a, on 05/08/2008, -0/+4Umm, wrong thread?
- maiku00, on 05/08/2008, -0/+4Mediafire sounds great as a place to backup my photos and designs, except for the fact that you transfer ownership of everything to them and the rights for them to do whatever they want with it
"You grant, transfer and assign to MediaFire and its successors, assigns and licensees, FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE of enabling us to make your Content available through the Service, a fully-paid, royalty-free, irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide right and license to publish, distribute, reproduce, transmit, use, translate and archive the Content." - crushtheenemy, on 05/08/2008, -1/+5i love mediafire
- matt.rubin, on 05/08/2008, -3/+7rapidshare is well worth the 8 bucks a month or 60 a year
but i am warning you guys its sketch - dxgg, on 05/08/2008, -1/+5I have a feeling Metallica will change their minds about it.
- Sithlrd, on 05/08/2008, -0/+4Why? Cuz caps lock is cruise control for coooool.
- Munkey106, on 05/08/2008, -3/+7I've been using Filedropper (http://www.filedropper.com) since they had the "special" for Digg users. It's fast and pretty reliable. 5GB per file limit and 250GB free storage. Works for me!
- Fozefy, on 05/08/2008, -0/+4Wait...an article on Digg that says something pro-Microsoft?? (Skydrive)
- theright, on 05/08/2008, -0/+3He's spamming nonsensical racist, anti-semitic, vile comments in every front page comment thread. This is at least his fourth account now.
abuse@digg.com - Sizzor, on 05/09/2008, -0/+3Rapidshare was good until that *&(*&$##$ Captcha with all the friggin' cats.
- psyjoniz, on 05/08/2008, -0/+3haha, i think someone ***** in mamadas's cheerios
- Appleologist, on 05/08/2008, -0/+2for those interested in file storage on your personal webservers, I strongly recommend filerun: http://www.filerun.com/
- tEhKewleSt, on 05/09/2008, -0/+2It will never happen!
- JasonMath, on 05/08/2008, -0/+2Most of the services that they included had direct links to files. Rapidshare does not, as you have to choose your method of download and wait for some time to download your file (unless the "happy hours" are active).
- Hanker, on 05/08/2008, -0/+2here, take this chillpill, or take em all and od on them
- twinbreeze, on 05/08/2008, -0/+2I've been using mediafire.com for about a year now and its been good, no issues. i recently started using box.net and yousendIt. all in all i like the outlook and photoshop integration of yousendit.
- BobMysterioso, on 05/08/2008, -0/+2a. you're angry
b. you shouldn't place your wang in entrails
c. eating bodily fluids is not a very safe activity
d. you may have rage issues
e. you may be schizophrenic - as you start out in nice calm Spanish, and then go ***** English
f. get some help - inactive, on 05/08/2008, -0/+2None of those really seemed that great, 100mb individual file limit sucks when you want to stream a movie, though wonder if any of them would even offer enough bandwidth..
Anyone know a file hosting service with LARGE 1gb+ indivudual file hosting with atleast, or close to 1mb/s DL speed.. - ngmcs8203, on 05/08/2008, -2/+4I haven't used Box.net or Drop.io, but I guess I'll have to before I can give a solid opinion. But so far my favorite DropBox. I've been in the beta for a week or so now, and have been using it non-stop at work and with friends.
- lennybird, on 05/09/2008, -0/+2You watch, napster will turn into some major corporation controlled, monthly-payment music subscription service.
- Munkey106, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1I wasn't "advertising" it. I was merely stating an opinion.
- inactive, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1Divshare.com is better ...5 GB storage...200 MB file limit...50 GB monthly download limit.
- mitchellmckenna, on 05/24/2009, -0/+1getdropbox.com FTW!
- Cornrider, on 05/09/2008, -1/+2I like Limewire for sending over the donkey porn to my friends in country of Iceland
- igob8a, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1I agree, I couldn't get anything about 1 gb to upload. It starts, but then just stops after 2-10mbs. It just sits there doing nothing. WTF
- cavergeek, on 05/11/2008, -0/+1The REAL dropbox is http://getdropbox.com
- GhostyBoy, on 05/08/2008, -0/+1This guy should be locked up. I'm not even joking.
- inactive, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1WTF? Not Megaupload or Rapidshare? ***** list. What matters is how long a file can last on the servers without being deleted.
- Silentnite85, on 05/08/2008, -0/+1No they didn't. They mentioned it at the bottom. Under honorable mentions.
- kooftspc, on 05/08/2008, -0/+1filedropper
- tracyfm, on 05/15/2008, -0/+1I "attempted" to use Mediafire because of this article. I say attempted because I've uploaded files but am unable to access them because the servers housing my documents have been offline for days. Sucks. I'll try another site.
- AceDaPig, on 05/08/2008, -1/+2Hamachi is the greatest, I use it to share files with friends along with play LAN games with them when we don't have time to set up a small LAN party
- Zonyc, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1http://www.filedropper.com is easier, has 5gb of storage and doesn't require registration.
- paesan0, on 05/08/2008, -0/+1www.adrive.com F.T.W!
- allanak, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1WTF does this have to do with hamachi? Besides that, Hamachi is flawed in the sense that it's closed-source and you're relying upon a third party to maintain your security. ***** that. I'll stick with OpenVPN, thanks.
- had3l, on 05/08/2008, -0/+1If they included *****, Filefront or Megaupload, angry mobs would seriously burn their server to the ground.
- Premier, on 05/09/2008, -1/+2Whats wrong with filefront? I can see the arguments against rapidshare and megaupload, the only problem I see with filefront is they don't allow passworded archives. But they allow up to a gig in file sizes, very useful for large audio video files.
- MaRk182, on 05/13/2008, -0/+0I use MyBloop.com because its definitely the most clear way to go... Unlimited free file storage for music, podcast, videos, files, photos and you can stream the music you upload or listen other users music!! 1GB file limit and unlimited storage
