- Wailord, on 09/02/2008, -124/+650I'm not gonna lie... that UI looks like *****.
- MrMax99, on 09/02/2008, -5/+310I clicked the play buttons..... just hoping.....
- inactive, on 09/02/2008, -106/+371But can it run Crysis?
- tm13lke, on 09/02/2008, -47/+299i'll stick with firefox
- Me1000, on 09/02/2008, -24/+268The candy blue isn't my cup of tea.
- orion9, on 09/02/2008, -20/+225can't wait for the PageBlock filter...that'll block all the HTML..and display Google Ads only!!
- Y3T1, on 09/02/2008, -41/+174I think it looks rather clean.
- Aitese, on 09/02/2008, -6/+118Unless you've used it, how are people saying they like it less than Firefox or Opera?
- mikelieman, on 09/02/2008, -25/+127OMFG! It's a --- Web Browser!
- diggit08, on 09/02/2008, -7/+94Mirror: http://www.demotivate.info/2008/09/02/first-images ...
How the hell did techcrunch go down btw? - wastern, on 09/02/2008, -5/+81yeah, not the best, but google has never been known for beautiful UIs.
I think the stuff just looks a little too big and fisher price-ish. I'd almost expect it to make that damn clicking noise that IE makes on everything. For a browser that is supposed to get out of your way it sure is in your face.
I'm still going to give it a try though, I went through that comic and some of the back-end stuff on there was really impressive. I guess we can hope they'll allow theming - caitlinwoodward, on 12/04/2008, -0/+70Doesn't look chrome at all.
- fxu1989, on 09/02/2008, -10/+75THE VIDEOS... THEY DO NOTHING!!!
- pepote, on 09/02/2008, -23/+80Summarizing:
Meh. - NathanMahdavi, on 09/02/2008, -3/+58You're an idiot solidus636.
- inactive, on 09/02/2008, -5/+57Crysis Flash?
- motang, on 09/02/2008, -6/+56I don't know, the colour choice Google has made...seems too blue. It is going to stand out on my machines and not blend in like Firefox does. But one thing for sure it has the same UI as all of Google Apps like GMail, Google Reader, etc. which is good, and will make it easier for people to associate with.
- blaze03, on 09/02/2008, -12/+61It looks very...Google. Which isn't exactly a good thing.
Whenever I look at Google's sites I wonder if they have any UI artists on the payroll. Simple, clean, and light is fine (and in fact, great) for the things they're known for...search, gmail, maps. But if you want to be taken seriously for applications like browsers and phones, you're gonna need more professional looking UIs.
The Fisher Price comment above hit the nail on the head. - uncommonwords, on 09/02/2008, -7/+52let me download the damn thing already....
- thealsir, on 09/02/2008, -8/+51I've read the comic and there's a lot of revolutionary ideas. Keeping each tab in a separate process and trying to separate plugin processes from the rendering process are sure to make the browser more reliable. Also, it'll be interesting to try out the new address bar.
- Farmer77, on 09/02/2008, -11/+52lol, people digging you down for saying you want to stick with firefox. The world has gone mad, I tells ya.
- kocurejd, on 09/02/2008, -0/+39It's the same way we judge women
- Sabretou, on 09/02/2008, -1/+38I have a feeling that everyone who dugg you up did that too, but are too embarrassed to admit.
- a3r0, on 09/02/2008, -1/+36Note the "when it goes live" part.
- lopla, on 09/02/2008, -9/+44mirror? the sites gone down harder than bristol at a keg party.
- bjornski, on 09/02/2008, -15/+46You're the one who wanted to "Think Different".
How's that working out for you? - mynameistux, on 09/02/2008, -4/+34hope it's skinable, wait its OSS, so LETS SEE SOME SKINS PEOPLE!
- wezman2, on 09/02/2008, -7/+36Yes, its just a web browser, but you probably should read about what it actually does and how it operates so you can realize what is exciting about it.
- cypher35, on 09/02/2008, -4/+31you'd think an app with "chrome" in the title might be colored... uh, chrome?
- bobdance, on 09/02/2008, -29/+55boo.
:( - serif69, on 09/02/2008, -0/+25It's Google. This will be in beta for years.
- TnTBass, on 09/02/2008, -0/+25This is the internet, where one doesn't need to be informed to make a decision.
- jtbell04, on 09/02/2008, -0/+25Even worse, I clicked every single one.
- BradOFarrell, on 09/02/2008, -6/+31It makes so much more sense to put the address bar and history buttons below the tabs. Since it changes the address and history each time you switch tabs and tabs are conceptually things that label the content below them. That always annoyed me about browsers, I think it's cool that Google arranged elements in a way that makes sense, rather than based on 'traditional' layouts.
- Red1Delta, on 09/02/2008, -1/+26You have to do a combo.
Left Click, Left Click, Right Click, Left, Right, Left, Left, Left, Left, Right Left, Stay in step, Left, Left, Left, Right left. - gelatina1996, on 09/02/2008, -2/+25it can be ugly, but i'm gonna download this.
- adriaaan, on 10/12/2008, -4/+26***** you, two of my internet memes died being repeated!
- diabolicedict, on 09/02/2008, -2/+24I'm going to try it when it comes out. The interface could use some more work, but it's an initial release so i'll cut it some slack. Besides I'm more interested in the capabilities of JV8 and webkit advertised on http://www.google.com/googlebooks/chrome/
- Vich, on 09/02/2008, -1/+23Nah, they do work, you just have to click them several times really fast.
- phoomp, on 09/02/2008, -0/+21They're basing they're entire opinion on looks.
- 6minuteabs, on 09/02/2008, -3/+23Ah, yes. The open source excuse. That excellent skin will be available just as soon as someone writes one for open office and basically every other OSS app out there.
News flash: Just because it's open source doesn't mean Google shouldn't be scrutinized for their poor design. - golddigga, on 09/02/2008, -5/+25typical google design.

- inactive, on 09/02/2008, -15/+35***** you two of my friends died running Crysis!
- diggit08, on 09/02/2008, -0/+18When I saw it, I knew it reminded me of my childhood for some reason. Thanks for the fisher price analogy, I can now put my mind to rest of what it reminded me of.
- zulfy26, on 09/02/2008, -5/+21But will it blend?
- Spyder810, on 09/02/2008, -4/+20Download link when it goes live. http://gears.google.com/chrome/?hl=en

- kevyn, on 09/02/2008, -7/+21it looks fun, I'll probably try it for at least 5 mins and then go back to FF
