- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -1/+6"most fastest Web feed reader"
That's one of the most un-grammatically correct descriptions I've read.
A double superlative and for some reason Web is capitalized but most isn't. - LakeshoreBaby, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4You have to make an account to get the reader??? Too centralized for me. I don't want a record floating around of everything I read. Seems interesting but I like my anonymity.
- PatrickA, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Is this the fastest to use or the fastest to update the feeds? I think it needs to explain more on the front page otherwise people won't sign up.
- AlphaEta, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Why does this post smell like spam?
- akky, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3The original version of fastladder, "livedoor Reader" is well know in Japanese blogosphere as an alleged "The fastest" web-based RSS reader/aggregator. After getting over 140,000 users among Japanese net-savvy people, livedoor finally "localize" it to its English version.
The UI side of the fastladder/livedoor Reader is lead by "mala", who is also known well as one of Javascript masters in Japan. He wrote that he made this reader for people like him, who wants to read more than hundreds of feed everyday, in the fastest speed.
I am sure many of you will like it. - akky, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2I understand your feeling, but how can one web service ID be linked with your drivers licence ID or your credit information? It may be possible if you use Google Checkout and bound to be your Google Reader activities though.
And how about Digg ID itself? Isn't that also dangerous for you? - lepster10101, on 05/10/2008, -0/+1"That's one of the most un-grammatically correct descriptions I've read."
That's a classic. - akky, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2The first one, as they claim. Unfortunately, most of writings about those comparison are only available in Japanese. That's why it rarely has been mentioned on English sources.
From my experience, Fastladder(livedoor Reader) seems far faster than Google Reader even after subscribing bunch of feeds, but I do not have numbers. Although I do not like the way they say "the fastest" (how can you know? there might be other non-English, non-Japanese great feed readers.), it's pretty fast. - inactive, on 05/23/2008, -0/+1Thanks Andreas!!
It's somewhat similar to Google Reader. - tzztzz, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Seeing is believing.

First impression: I'll stay with Netvibes. - hnouwens, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0I think it has great potential!
- miyagawa, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Not sure what you mean by national ID card stuff, but all they (fastladder) requires is a valid email address, which you can get anonymously pretty easily.
- akky, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0I guess that's because many commenters are Japanese from Japan. They think they were deeply saved by the service and want to let people know its usefullness. However, 1. not knowing Digg system and style. you can see some of them just express their feeling instead of opinions. They did not notice thums-up/down buttons for it, 2. lack of English command. Imagine how it is easy for you to recommend your favourite English services in JAPANESE on Japanese website fluently?
I personally think that it is a shame if someone overlooks a chance to know non-English good services because of language barriers. Fortunately the service now has English version so that you can try it at least. - eurodollari, on 12/10/2008, -0/+0Japanese version of fastladder, "livedoor Reader" is the most famous RSS reader in Japan. The number of userscripts for fastladder is more than that for Google Reader.
- Yappo, on 10/11/2007, -1/+0came from VIP.
- akky, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1Well, because it is web-based and everyone wants to keep their own reading lists. It's just same as Google Reader or other web-based services.
- smackhero, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1*grammatically incorrect.
unless you are trying to say that the sentence is most correct, un-grammatically--which doesn't make sense. - masakiishitani, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1It's fastest RSS reader!
- shoma, on 10/11/2007, -1/+0It's so cool! my favorite feature of this is powerful shortcut keys!
jjjjjj kkk aaa and Shift+Z ! - paulmakoto, on 10/11/2007, -1/+0japanese most famous RSS reader!!!

siarhei@senpai-it.com - LakeshoreBaby, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1Anyways, sorry for the political discussion. Bush and his executive orders just creep the hell out of me. There's a good radio talk shows on We The People Radio on the net that discuss what's going on if you are interested.
- LakeshoreBaby, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1Well, it's all about consolidation. I don't know. I'm just scared. Bush last week, made himself unaccountable to congress in an executive order. The powers he gave himself are pretty close to what Mao passed in China a few decades back before he started killing millions of people. For people who don't know, the US is being forced to have a national RFID tracking national driver's license by May 8th of next year. It's our state driver's license but they will all be linked to a central Fed database through RFID technology and will have all of our credit and medical history on it. Just type Real ID Act into Google and it'll tell you everything. I just like keeping things as decentralized as possible. We can't stop living. That would be dumb. But we do have choices. There is no doubt in my mind that eventually, probably before 2010 they will start trying to link IP addresses and what we read to RFID and so on. It's just scary that's all.
- yoshiki, on 10/11/2007, -2/+0it's cool!
- mattndig, on 10/11/2007, -2/+0Hmm, It's nice :-)
- LakeshoreBaby, on 10/11/2007, -4/+1Yah, that's the problem with Google too. Wouldn't care too much about all this if it weren't for the national ID card driver's license being forced on us in May of next year. Our credit information is being linked to it. They'll be adding fingerprint biometrics the year after. Pretty soon the web will be connected to it. Creepy.
