- burke, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2OMG!!!!!
I think stories submitted with trailing '!'s need to have them automatically stripped. - Yogurth, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3AutoGTK is/was spyware/adware infested app, why would you want that on Your system? If You want free app use VirtualDUB.
- harrisbradley, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Yes! More cowbell!
- 1ivewire, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The Dr. may be back, but Gordian Knot never left.
- Yoda716, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Finally is right. I've been watching this one for some time now.
- aquax, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Handbrake > all
- Yoda716, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Advanced tab crashes program. Bummer.

- M3wThr33, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I loved 1.0. I hope 2.0 is even better!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Heres a link to the install file, drffmpeg.dll and avdsp.dll (required files)
Just put the dll files into the dr divx folder in ur program files
http://www.fileh.com/squishedfly/DrDivx.zip - piratebill, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i had it crash on me after I encoded my first video. Had to replace on of those .dlls we had to dl seperatly.
- spyres, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I wish I could un-digg this. Worked one time and then crashed every time thereafter. And yeah, I had all the requisites installed.
Even several reinstalls didn't help.
So I'll wait for it a final on this one. - piratebill, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It works really well. Unfortunetly it doesnt have xvid yet. This beta version will also only work till March 30, but by then a full release should be out.
- piratebill, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1"The Dr. may be back, but Gordian Knot never left."
Gordian Knot has to be the worst tool I have EVER used. - RichMan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0WINDOWS ONLY?!
frigg'in gay!
I want Linux and OS X versions, NOW! - coolguy69, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0high load ... looks like the website is being flooded
- ers35, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0http://www.drdivx.com.nyud.net:8090/
- M3wThr33, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0-_-
It broke the original Dr. Divx. I can't use it anymore. That's BS. - Wyattx17, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is good news. Can't wait to test it out!
- Scuba, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Screw that, AutoGK does xvid too!
http://autogk.me.uk/ - adam8281, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0And anyone know why in Dr Divx 2 all of the options in the "preferences" menu are greyed out?
- ShaDoWwork, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i cant wait for it to go to final the dr rocks.
- fiend.lord, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0In case you're getting an error when you try and run:
http://expandinglimits.com/drdivx/?q=node/44 - Protoss, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Just about done encoding Donnie Darko (such a wonderful movie), only gonna take about an hour and 15 minutes, but the filesize/quality is what I am going for. Dr. Divx is what I used to get all the Cowboy Bebop eps into AVI about a year back...wonderful piece of software :D
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0DL'ing as we speak...will seed for a 50:1 ratio of upload to dl
- tommis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0From the site "The new Dr. DivX 2.0 OSS Beta is available for testing and development.".
BETA is available. Why has there been a flood of wrong titled articles on Digg lately? This is just like "Firefox 1.5 FINAL released!!!!" two weeks ago, when RC3 came out. - vertigoblue, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0nice seeding on that torrent steven
- M3wThr33, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Firefox 1.5 RC3 WAS the final build They have the same MD5 hash.
- darkfire, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0SMHVBVBTC337A645JA28
use this to register divx6. If you got it during the free period it wouldnt be a prob - rolandog, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hmm,... I'm downloading it as I type this, yesterday I looked over and over for real media converters to whatever format... Real7ime Converter (R7C) is good, but I haven't been able to make it list the DivX codecs... and since I'm on Windows ME, any small video will end up hogging more than 2 GB if I don't have a codec for compression.
Anyone knows if Dr DivX 2.0 will work with RM files? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1digg for finding out about autogk...no digg for dr. divx
- KorbenDallas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Beta, Beta, Beta...

AutoGK does a decent job. However this is made "just for this purpose". slim.
Gordian is also good - it's great we have many killer choices that are free.
Um, Protoss.. your worried about Divx codec being to system intensive? Are you still running a 300Mhz proc? I mean, it's ok you are.. thats fine and all.. - siouxmoux, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Dr. Divx is now in to see you now
- mattyG, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0^^ did you read any of the comments
"It works really well. Unfortunetly it doesnt have xvid yet. This beta version will also only work till March 30, but by then a full release should be out." - ramsinks.com, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ops,mesostinky not Protoss

- rm999, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i don't get it - what is this, and why is it better than any other video encoding tool with xvid?
- elcaro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0They finally realized that open source is the way to go
Nice going Dr. Divx. Will see how it performs though
digg++ - piratebill, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"i don't get it - what is this, and why is it better than any other video encoding tool with xvid?"
if you know of a better one (besides autogk, which rocks) let me know. - Bisqwit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0H.264 beats divx-type codecs hands-on.
http://x264.nl/ - free implementation of H.264.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H.264 - information. - Protoss, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Ops,mesostinky not Protoss
(you know who you are with non cow bell's..)"
LOL yea I was gonna say...My server is 5x faster than 300mhz :P - wilsonics, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0
- Acill, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It will be nice when us OS X users can get it. For now I use and prefer H.264
- piratebill, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0yeah, it did that to me too. just replace the drffmpeg.dll. after I did that it worked just fine again.
