- vypergts, on 02/26/2008, -1/+9I would install it but I don't want my employer to think that I spend all day looking at digg. Oh wait... crap.

- L4WL3RS34L, on 02/27/2008, -2/+3I don't see what you did there.
I'm trying to figure out if it was some witty comment because you even capitalized the i. And you didn't even bother capitalizing the first letter of the sentence.
- theaceoffire, on 02/27/2008, -3/+15 That was I good point.
- wiifm69, on 02/26/2008, -3/+93no, that was I while ago

- OnlineAddict, on 02/26/2008, -1/+12I just installed this and it works like a charm. Install & Restart. I also use SEO Quake and Social Media for Firefox, these are also great tools for social networking
- bariswheel, on 02/26/2008, -3/+3No memory leaks? I'm very apprehensive about firefox extensions, they tend to break things fast.
- artofwar420, on 02/27/2008, -0/+1Not really, sure, some are heavy, but most are very light, even to the point of no adverse effects.
- bariswheel, on 02/26/2008, -3/+3No memory leaks? I'm very apprehensive about firefox extensions, they tend to break things fast.
- nathangl, on 02/26/2008, -22/+3I love when new software updates are posted as news and make it to the front page becuase the submitter is a high ranking digger!! /Sarcasm
- borez, on 02/27/2008, -0/+3?
/sarcasm - thiemster, on 05/03/2008, -0/+1usually when people are being sarcastic, they don't blurt out the fact that they are being sarcastic
- borez, on 02/27/2008, -0/+3?
- ycohain, on 02/26/2008, -1/+20replaces the smart digg button extension I've had (and used frequently) for a while.
- macatizor, on 02/26/2008, -1/+23It's been available for this long and I haven't noticed it? I've been missing out on life here!
- mimilena, on 02/27/2008, -0/+4And now that you have that extension, you can miss out even more on life.
- huadianz, on 05/11/2008, -0/+0lol
- Yareking, on 02/26/2008, -12/+3n1 thx
- Grahamcracker, on 02/26/2008, -17/+1Hmmm... now just where to put it...
http://www.spatiallyadjusted.com/wp-content/upload ...- Grahamcracker, on 02/26/2008, -7/+2Four Oh No'ed, eh? Let's try that again...
http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d141/graham__cra ...- orbingpunk, on 02/26/2008, -0/+8Good luck installing a firefox toolbar in IE.
- SysstemLord, on 02/27/2008, -0/+1You've got some really useless ***** up there
- ep53, on 02/26/2008, -1/+1You got a nasty case of spyware.....I think you should get that thing checked out
- Grahamcracker, on 02/26/2008, -7/+2Four Oh No'ed, eh? Let's try that again...
- jriggs420, on 02/26/2008, -2/+128Now, if we can just get it to write lame comments, we'll have eliminated the need for humans on digg altogether.
- canthraxp, on 02/26/2008, -1/+29That's a great %s
File "autoresponse.py", line 181
NameError: name 'thread_subject' is not defined
- canthraxp, on 02/26/2008, -1/+29That's a great %s
- nindustrial, on 02/26/2008, -1/+4Great app, love the fact that it shows you old stories from the same page
- actionmann50, on 02/28/2008, -0/+1The only issue is that it recognizes everything as news, there's no distinguishing for images and videos.
- OneLess, on 02/26/2008, -4/+7I've already got 100 meg worth of extensions and the Digg iGoogle widget, so I'm going to have to pass for the sake of my own sanity.
- madeingermany, on 02/26/2008, -2/+6That's pretty handy. Finally people won't have an excuse any more that they couldn't see if they submitted a dupe ;)
What I'm still missing is a good way to track replies to my comments.
There is http://www.neaveru.com/digg/ and I wrote perl script that does pretty much the same running in a cron, so I can see it on a mobile phone that doesn't support javascript much. But what I'd really like would be a Firefox Extension :)- Mizzike, on 02/26/2008, -1/+2You can always just go to your profile and click on Comments... downside is you have to click on each comment to see who has replied, but upside is at least they're all aggregated into one place for easy viewing. And, they show how many diggs each of your comments has.
- spudlyo, on 02/26/2008, -0/+4I really enjoy this comment tracking page.
http://garycarstensen.googlepages.com/comments7.ht ...- madeingermany, on 02/26/2008, -0/+1Thank you! I didn't know that page. The replies column seems to be broken....
I'm just generating a static page for the Blackberry http://marcofrom.com/digg.html - madeingermany, on 02/26/2008, -0/+1Linked from the digg story of that one I found
http://bleu.west.spy.net/diggwatch/
You can have an RSS feed of your replies :)
- madeingermany, on 02/26/2008, -0/+1Thank you! I didn't know that page. The replies column seems to be broken....
- nexus37, on 02/26/2008, -3/+29I used to be a hardcore MS user and resisted the other browser options. After several years I finally tried Firefox and I love it. I think its faster and there is a lot of cool add-ons that can enhance your surfing pleasure. Trust me, let go.
- theMADone, on 02/26/2008, -1/+35i dont mean to be standoffish, but you are preaching this to whom? this is digg, probably the last place on the internet that needs warning against the evil of poorly coded slow m$ products.
- cesclaveria, on 02/26/2008, -0/+16probably thats true for the average digg user, but since this site is trying to attract a larger diversity of users (not only geeks like us) this is a good advice that should remain visible.
- rupprupp29, on 02/27/2008, -0/+1I don't consider myself a 'hardcore digger' or anything like that, but repeatedly hearing about how good Firefox is on digg is what finally made me switch.
For the most part, I'd say you're right and this is just preaching to the choir... but there's always going to be a few stragglers that still haven't switched to Firefox. - chromerium, on 02/27/2008, -4/+1Speak for yourself dude, me, I LOVE ie. Its like, the ultimate surfing experience. Why would you want anything else? I've never even tried firebox or whatever it's called. Who cares? MS is dominant, always will be, always has been, IE is the best, get over it!
- MrCoke, on 02/27/2008, -1/+1YEAH BOI!!!
- nexus37, on 02/27/2008, -0/+1Sorry. Didn't mean to sound like I was preaching. I only wanted to say that I finally caught up to the rest of the free world. Also not bashing MS. I just prefer Firefox and it's sometimes better when you give something new or different a chance to impress you.
- theMADone, on 02/26/2008, -1/+35i dont mean to be standoffish, but you are preaching this to whom? this is digg, probably the last place on the internet that needs warning against the evil of poorly coded slow m$ products.
- Eisen4, on 02/26/2008, -2/+7It uses 'D' as it's alt hot key. Removing... I'd rather have the address bar shortcut.
- Aidje, on 02/26/2008, -0/+1How about ctrl/cmd+l?
- Bentis, on 02/26/2008, -0/+4Or just use Ctrl+L...
- iofthestorm, on 02/27/2008, -0/+1I use f6 personally, although Alt-D is faster. I never realized that, thanks!
- TeleKawaru, on 02/27/2008, -0/+4if you go to your firefox profile folder and look for this dir:
extensionsdiggfirefox@mozilla.orgcontent
you can edit the overlay.xul file to change the binding. I changed mine from D to I since I use ALT+D constantly for address bar.
My changed line look similar to this:
menu id="digg-menu" label="Digg" insertbefore="helpMenu" accesskey="I"- galaxie, on 02/27/2008, -0/+1Your firefox profile can be found by using start -> run:
%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
- galaxie, on 02/27/2008, -0/+1Your firefox profile can be found by using start -> run:
- chouch, on 02/26/2008, -21/+2For hot Digg on Digg action call 1-900-2FistMe
- gotamd, on 02/26/2008, -2/+2That extension is pretty cool. I'm definitely going to give it a try.
- jkahrs595, on 02/26/2008, -17/+2Still won't make me switch from Opera.
- LordSkywalker, on 02/26/2008, -2/+9And if you would like to have a digg button at the top of every article, check this out. I love it.
Digg It Later: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/7864 - evil-doer, on 02/26/2008, -1/+7so how does this work anyways? does it send every single page you view to the digg website to look up if its been submitted? seems to have some privacy issues if so. or do you have to manually check?
- madeingermany, on 02/26/2008, -0/+4it works automatically, so yes - it does query the digg API for every page you visit.
If you don't trust digg to not log those failed queries, you should not use this Extension.
I would welcome a blacklist feature added to the Extension, so I could exclude my companies Intranet, etc.
- madeingermany, on 02/26/2008, -0/+4it works automatically, so yes - it does query the digg API for every page you visit.
- Antyrael, on 02/26/2008, -3/+18Meh, doesn't say it supports Firefox 3 (Beta) yet, and I can't be bothered to hack it to see if it really does work. Looks neat - I'll try it once I can just single-click to install. :P
- changyang1230, on 02/28/2008, -0/+2It works perfectly on my Firefox 3 beta 3. (with the compatibility test turned off, of course)
- AsSubtleAsABrik, on 02/26/2008, -8/+2This thing made me realize that digg.com has never been submitted.. I wonder if it would hit the front page?
- slamm71, on 02/27/2008, -0/+4It won't let you submit stories from itself. Trust me, I've tried :)
- curtosrules, on 02/26/2008, -2/+3I am sure it will get an upgrade when ff3 comes out
- ep53, on 02/26/2008, -2/+2Ive been using the iGoogle one and ALLWAYS have a 1/2 a second peek at new articles......
- iofthestorm, on 02/27/2008, -0/+1There's this magical thing called the upcoming section, it lets you see everything far before it hits front page...... of course there's a whole lot of crap/spam articles in upcoming, but just use the cloud view to see the best stuff.
- oakj423, on 02/26/2008, -2/+1i prefer dugged (adds a duggmirror link)
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/425 ...- macaholic, on 02/27/2008, -0/+1Get hacked version (changed install.rdf file) for beta 3, works perfectly.

- macaholic, on 02/27/2008, -0/+1Get hacked version (changed install.rdf file) for beta 3, works perfectly.
- SevasTraSi, on 02/26/2008, -1/+4Saddest thing is that the firefox default google page has 6 diggs . Oh and there goes all productivity with the "random article" button.
- MAGZine, on 04/22/2008, -2/+6How about compatibility with Firefox 3.0b3? Now I have to open up the extension manually, and edit the maxversion key so it will work
-sigh-- deinspanjer, on 02/26/2008, -0/+4You could just install the Nightly Build Tools and disable compatibility checking in order to install it. Afterward you can turn checking back on if you prefer and just force it to be compatible.
- iofthestorm, on 02/27/2008, -0/+1You can also just change the about:config pref extensions.checkCompatibility to false.
- usherzx, on 03/04/2008, -0/+1 1. In your address bar, type "about:config" (remember, no quotes). You’ll receive a warning box that says anything you do here might void your warranty. Click the button that says you’ll promise to behave.
2. Once the configuration page loads, right click anywhere within the configuration options list and select "New" and then select "Boolean" from the 3 choices given (Boolean is a "true" or "false" type statement for those that don’t know).
3. The next box that pops will ask you to "Enter the preference name". Enter the following statement: "extensions.checkCompatibility".
4. Another box will pop up asking you to choose the Boolean value. Select "False": You’re new statement should now appear in the list of configuration options.
5. Restart your browser and you can try out those extensions you’ve been wanting.
- motang, on 02/26/2008, -1/+41Damn it doesn't work on Firefox 3 Beta 3.
- AdHaR, on 02/26/2008, -0/+6Get nightly tester tools

That's ***** badass. - Denithor, on 02/26/2008, -2/+3So, just another version of the smart digg button extension https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/487 ... I think I'll keep what I have.
- amirman, on 02/26/2008, -0/+1i've been using the smart digg button and this extension looks like it does a lot more than the smart digg extension. i'm going to give it a spin.
- jrblaze, on 02/26/2008, -2/+6Please update this Extension to work with Firefox 3.0b3
- boredpnoy, on 02/26/2008, -1/+1im in the same boat with you all the broken extensions
- harleykins, on 02/26/2008, -1/+1Yes. Please!

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/654 ... - iofthestorm, on 02/27/2008, -0/+3Please stop whining or learn to beta test properly, betas aren't for people to just complain about, believe it or not, they're actually for the developers to get some testing done. Get nightly tester tools or add the about:config entry extensions.checkCompatibility and set it to false.
- usherzx, on 03/04/2008, -0/+1 1. In your address bar, type "about:config" (remember, no quotes). You’ll receive a warning box that says anything you do here might void your warranty. Click the button that says you’ll promise to behave.

- Raptor007, on 02/26/2008, -1/+5This is nice, but I'd rather it be somewhere other than the menu bar.
- amirman, on 02/26/2008, -0/+3true dat. i'd like to see it work on the status bar.
- scottwal, on 02/26/2008, -1/+1The Digg extension that I want is this: When I click a link from the Digg.com page to read the article, I want the extension to display the number of diggs and a "Digg This" button somewhere on the page, quite like the embedded "Digg This" buttons that are on many blogs. I DO NOT want to have to return to the comments page to digg the article/picture/video, I want a plugin that will know that I followed a link from Digg and allow me to digg the story that I am currently on in one click. Anyone know if this exists?
- deinspanjer, on 02/26/2008, -0/+1That's exactly what I wanted when I wrote my "Add Digg Control" greasemonkey script. I turned it into a regular extension as well but I haven't paid much attention to that so I'm not sure if it is working properly with the latest versions of FF.
The GM script works fine though and I couldn't use digg without it.
http://www.yipyip.com/firefox/- scottwal, on 02/27/2008, -0/+0Hey, that is perfect, thanks! I installed the extension version of your control, and so far as I can tell, it is working great. If I run into any problems, I'll switch over to the GM version like you suggested. I really do think that your tool makes Digg work perfectly with my browsing style (like yours, open tens of tabs, read them all), and I'm surprised that more people aren't clamoring for the same functionality. Anyways, thanks again!

- guillebravo6, on 02/26/2008, -3/+4Nice extension, Installed and running fabulous!
- Raptor007, on 02/26/2008, -1/+6I found one that I like better, Smart Digg Button:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/487 ...
Not quite as feature-packed, but it has the basics and it resides in a much less obnoxious place.- vidar808, on 02/26/2008, -0/+2I have been using that one for awhile. It is simple, and unobtrusive.
- GRTWHT, on 02/26/2008, -0/+2Mark me down on that as well, been using it for a long time now and will stick with it.
- jabela, on 02/27/2008, -0/+2That's actually what I really like about it, instead of installing as a toolbar it adds a menu item.... I guess it comes down to personal preference...
- jimbo92107, on 02/26/2008, -2/+0Amazing - a FireFox add-on that let's you view digg.com!
- grey580, on 02/26/2008, -5/+1I made a toolbar for Digg.
Features:
Digg search
Digg Submission
Digg RSS feed with ticker option.
Tell a Friend Google search.

Just the basics for now. More features to come later. - neosublime, on 02/26/2008, -1/+11"What the hell is a foxfire?"

- fuzzybeard, on 02/27/2008, -0/+1A series of books/handguides dating from the early 1970's about life in Appalachia. Fascinating to read from a historical and/or practical standpoint.

- mistergoomba, on 02/26/2008, -0/+9apparently my gmail page has 2 diggs
- amirman, on 02/26/2008, -1/+3the url for your gmail page is identical to the url for everyone else's gmail. i think it's pretty remarkable that sites like google.com have such a minimal amount of diggs.
- sarahintampa, on 02/26/2008, -0/+1wow, i need that! downloading now...
- wellyuk, on 02/26/2008, -2/+16Has Reddit got a Firefox extension? No, it doesn't. ***** you Reddit!

- Hortinstein, on 02/27/2008, -0/+3i pride myself in a minimal firefox....but this made my bar easy
only other one is google browser sync - Dubyman23, on 02/27/2008, -0/+1won't this reduce hits on the actual site?
- Metalmoon, on 02/27/2008, -0/+1nice extension, but there are a couple of things i don't like.
first, how come you can't digg an already submitted page from the menu? you can submit a new page to digg, but you can't digg it. also, the random stories should be limited to a certain time frame. i don't want to view an article from 2 years ago. - antdude, on 02/27/2008, -0/+2How about Digg submission extension?
