- wild, on 11/01/2007, -15/+280Yay! One more measurement for my epenis. :)
- AFJon, on 11/12/2007, -7/+223"Great way to find out whether you're contributing useful information to the community or not."
Or maybe a great way to find out if your viewpoints are in-line with diggers who read the comments. Since most people digg up or down based on whether they agree with the poster. - Fascist, on 10/10/2007, -10/+204*****. People don't like me.
- montiff, on 11/14/2007, -4/+114Wow this is really helpfully especially now with the new comment system. I hate how I can't 'control f' for my comments.
- MegaKN, on 11/12/2007, -4/+111I was actually looking for some sort of way to keep track of comment stats. Nice tool, thanks for posting.
- Darmichar, on 10/10/2007, -2/+84Ask and you shall receive:

Not mine, but it does everything I want it to do. - jpolacek, on 10/10/2007, -3/+55It would be nice if in the readout, they would give you a link back to your comment.
- psiDevil98, on 10/28/2007, -8/+51Seems like people agree with you.
- dinostabOMG, on 10/10/2007, -5/+47Hmmm... hate to be a drag but judging from the degree to which you've been buried I wonder if your judgment is off.
- andyyoung1, on 10/10/2007, -0/+37Great... Now instead of searching for hours for comments I made last week to see how much people like them, I can find out right away that people hate me. Time Saver! Dugg!
- xXShadowstormXx, on 10/10/2007, -5/+41It says I don't have any comments. Hah.
- NikoKun, on 10/10/2007, -2/+34Wow, this is interesting... This should be something Digg incorporates into our user profiles, so if you click on a user name, you can see their stats.
- Toupee, on 10/10/2007, -4/+36Looks like your average just went down.
- gameforge, on 10/10/2007, -2/+32Nice tool for a currently quite broken Digg. I've always wanted to see my comments broken down into X diggs and Y buries rather than just the "sum".
In case anyone's wondering, you can scroll down and read all your comments and see exactly how many people dugg it, buried it, what its final score is and how many replies it got.
Much easier than returning to a story and trying to crawl through Digg's House of Fun just to find your comment. - burtonbe, on 10/10/2007, -0/+25Unfortunately, that's not how most diggers moderate. You can frequently see comments that are hateful and contribute nothing to the conversation being dugg way up. This is most prevalent in political stories. The fact that this biased moderation happens does not concern me too much, yet the fact that comments with negative diggs are collapsed--and thus censored--does.
This promotes group-think and completely destroys any sense of intelligent discourse on digg. - DextaRussell, on 10/10/2007, -1/+21Funny thing I don't remember half of them. lol don't ever digg under the influence.
- kaynesan, on 10/10/2007, -4/+23Finally something on the frontpage that makes sense and is useful for your life.... if your life is digg.
- redslash, on 10/10/2007, -7/+26Not really. Often times, I'll find that two comments, coming from completely different points of view (i.e., for and against the death penalty), will both receive a decent digg score if they're both well-written.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+20I really wanted to do that too, but unfortunately it would require extra calls to the API. It already takes too long to load in my opinion and that would make it load twice as long.
Thanks for all the positive comments though! - robdiggity, on 10/10/2007, -3/+21You can if you set all comments to 'expanded' in your profile. But that only works as long as you don't bury a thread. You're right, this blows.
- MrHappy123, on 10/10/2007, -3/+21duhh .. you're Fascist! :-)
- RunOut, on 10/10/2007, -3/+19Its still a nice tool
- Sp0rAdiC, on 10/10/2007, -4/+18At least you can find that out. It says I don't have any comments.
- miriclaire, on 10/10/2007, -0/+14@ NEAVERU. This was a wonderful effort on your part, to bring something positive to the Digg community. Thank YOU!
- madpie, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13my most dugg down comment was one that complained about the racism of the comment thread.
my most dugg up comment was a joke about bong hits.
Curious. - DaffyDuck, on 10/10/2007, -2/+14The auto-expand thing is very buggy. I see several empty comments.
- gameforge, on 10/10/2007, -2/+13It is - scroll down, it shows every comment you ever made and what its score is.
- psygnisfive, on 10/10/2007, -7/+17Incase anyone's wondering what in gods name could get Kevin Rose dugg down over 400 times:
"Opps.. I submitted it here: http://digg.com/tech_news/DIGG_What_s_Happening_with_HD_DVD_Stories"
I guess people here really HATE it when Kevin Rose apologizes for duping a story. o.O;
Also, is anyone else really shocked to find so many of Kevin's comments dugg down? Haters, much? - kisore, on 10/10/2007, -4/+14Great stuff! Now....only if Kevin Rose implement something like this...
- theblindman2, on 10/10/2007, -4/+14iPenis?
- antdude, on 10/10/2007, -3/+13http://digg.com/software/Ever_wonder_how_your_Digg_comments_are_doing if you want to Digg it too.
- siszam, on 10/10/2007, -5/+14Popularity does not mean you're right. The majority of people aren't very bright. If you're really popular you probably aren't either.
- defnshow, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9This is a great! Now I have definitive proof that I add nothing to the conversation.
- IRoaChI, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8I kind of agree with you, but i think the purpose of blocking the -diggs is more about removing crap / hate speech and badly written posts. I don't think blocking the -diggs = censorship. It isn't like you can't click on the 'Show Comment' button or anything.
- mediaspree, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10I kicked some ass on 6/25/07..wonder what i said...
- 80hd, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10I've wondered to myself at times....
What if I made the most controversial comment ever but it balanced out to +1???
Well now I know :( - pnmoore, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10Very cool! I notice, with one exception, that if I diss Apple at all, even in jest, I get dugg down severely...fear the wrath of the fanboy :o)
- jdibiase, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Not if you've replied to a comment that you dugg down.
- mmortal03, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Yeah, the mob mentality generally comes into play, where someone will digg up a post that already has more diggs that are up, and will digg down the same post where it already has more diggs that are down. They should instead set up digg to where you can't see the amount of diggs until you yourself digg it up or digg it down. I currently use a filter that basically does this. When I first switched to it, it didn't feel right, because I was so accustomed to viewing the amount of diggs first before I made my decision, but that demonstrated exactly what was the problem. Now that I have gotten used to not seeing the number of diggs until I myself choose, I like it even more, because it is a more individually honest vote.
- speaker219, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9Another great comment statistics tool:
http://garycarstensen.googlepages.com/comments8.html - michaelfrankie, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8No wonder I'm single.
- Nick2632, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8-Mass server overload to people checking Kevin Rose-
- nitrousconsumed, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6damnit, and i thought people actually liked me.
- MatttK, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6That would actually be really useful. Right now, all you see is "+9 diggs" to your post. But what if what you said was really controversial? Maybe 100 people dugg you up and 91 dugg you down. That's a way bigger deal than "+9"! I found some of the dugg up/down stuff really interesting for my comments!
- vertigoblue, on 10/10/2007, -3/+9same here...
- humanerror, on 04/03/2008, -1/+7Here, have another inch. *digs comment up*
- AeonTorpor, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6I think it's a nice tool, kinda lets you realize some stupid ass stuff you say too. 1st comment i saw was "YOU'RE an Ostrich!"
- rgov, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6This is paradoxical: I could tell you that my comment ratings range from -69 to 74 with an average rating of 6.01, but by the mere virtue of my posting this it will drop to 5.98 and thus instantly invalidate my post.
I'll call it the Heisendigg Uncertainty Principle. - totorototoro, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5wait, you don't have any chainmail? :(
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Sorry guys, looks like digg doesn't like that this reached the front page. Added some minimal error handling to report digg api errors.
Looks like there have been "Internal Error"s in the digg api. Just try again after a few minutes, seems to work every once in a while.
Nothing I can control unfortunately. -
