- Lorian, on 10/12/2007, -14/+28Wtf, it returns the image as text/html.
What a ***** moron. - ImpactedColon, on 10/12/2007, -5/+18Reported as lame for non Firefox compliance.
- politech, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11Same result with Opera. Not cool.
I won't digg down but not up either - InsaneWookie, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11Doesn't seem to like Firefox
- rgov, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9Why digg down Lorian? The developers are morons, it should be application/pdf ...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7its...an...ie...only...web...app......
why does that sound so messed up?!?!!?!? Hey, why don't we just block Canadian users from using our site, they suck anyway, frickin northerners. - agoodm, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Lol everyone make some 10 million pixel wide wall papers, watch the server resouces go down the pan, there is clearly no input sanitisation here...
- tizz66, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5No disrespect to digitalgopher, but because he's one of the top users, people digg it regardless (because lots of people add top users as friends). It means that top-user-submitted stories have a much higher chance of being dugg to the front page - not because they're good, but because of who submitted them. That's not right, that's not what digg should be. That's why top users going over to Netscape is, in my opinion, a good thing. It clears the way for better stories from lesser-known users to get to the FP.
- aximbigfan, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7no digg. doesnt play nice with FF
- bart5986, on 10/12/2007, -3/+8this is lame
Just some crappy low quality wallpapers with lame text on it.
You could do better in paint. - whirlwind12, on 10/12/2007, -4/+8I ain't willing to switch to IE even just for a minute
- iheartbeer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Sucks???? This is so ultra-cooool and slick. I've been searching everywhere for a way to combine unicorn backgrounds with my great poems. I think I'll put them on all of the public computers I use -- library, school, etc. -- for the whole world to see and embrace. Why, my day has just gotten a bit brighter. I bet I could even cure cancer with these cheery desktops!
Hooray for unicorns!!!!!!!!!
/sarcasm (for the sarcasm impaired) - agoodm, on 10/12/2007, -2/+46 posts and dieing here already. T minus 5 minutes(...)
- partyonaisle7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2For some reason, it seems like one of the quickest ways to get something hot on Digg is to put the word "wallpaper" in it.
- pointaken, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3*****
- jeriqo, on 10/12/2007, -6/+8Who dugg this ***** ?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Wow 117 diggs? There's something strange goin' on.
- chthonic, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3even if it did work in firefox, it still shouldnt be dugg. who would want to slap some text on a lense flare and make it their wallpaper?
- MiamiGuy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Strange indeed. This sucks.
- neoknight, on 10/12/2007, -7/+8digital gopher being the number 2 user of digg you should know by now not to post about stuff that is not firefox compliant, especially on DIGG! what the heck were you thinking?!
- digitalgopher, on 10/12/2007, -6/+7Yeah. posted from work using IE. Just use IE tab.
- politech, on 10/12/2007, -6/+7BTW Lorian ... there's no need to be a dick about it.
It's an IE only web app. Not like that's the only one I've ever seen. - oslointhesummer, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3This is almost as bad as "Bling-it-on".
- nilobject, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I can't believe this pathetic piece of junk made the front page. Honestly - aside from the fact that the server serves up the images as text, the images are absolutely lame. Oohh! I made an image with poorly rendered text on it! WOW AMAZING ZOMG LOLOOMG!
- anphanax, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Or, if there's a contact on the website, you could just email them about their coding problem instead of being evil about it. Congrats, you found something to exploit. Instead of being a jerk, why not notify them and give them some time to fix it before telling everyone (not that somebody else wouldn't figure out the problem, but it might buy them some time to fix it/down it).
If it was your code, I somehow doubt you would want a vulnerability posted on Digg before you were ever notified about it :. - generator, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I think I fixed the Firefox glitch where it spits out weird ascii characters in text format.
I made the quality a bit higher also.
Added some more wallpapers to choose from too! - malice8691, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4This is just a bunch of garbage chars.
- iviking, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Doesn't seem to like Safari either
- Halfang, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I don't know where's the point in this "program" I mean... is quite stupid.
- damentz, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3cant convert in firefox/opera, ie wont open the page, wtf
- generator, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Why is always the makers of the sites that aren't Firefox capable blamed for Firefox's lame capabilities, why not blame Firefox for a change! Maybe Firefox should get their act together and make sites work in their browser?
FROM THE SITE:
DESKTOP WALLPAPER GENERATOR:
Now you can make a reminder note that sits right on your desktop with this image generator!
You can leave a funny message on the desktop of public computers (leave a joke at the library, leave a prank message for a friend, remind a loved one of a chore, post your TO DO list, etc), tag all the computers around you! - battybattybatt, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3I like the RSS block maker, pretty cool.
- politech, on 10/12/2007, -8/+5How about it? IE is a virus, malware attack, or hijacking just waiting to happen!
- talyesin, on 10/12/2007, -8/+3Lorian = rude abusive and dugg down
- nebbyfoshebby, on 10/12/2007, -8/+3indeed!
