communityserver.org — For those who work with .NET in the web world surely knows of Community Server (from Telligent Systems) as an excellent package for blog/forums/photos. Today, they finalize their 2.1 release with bunch of very essential features added such as tagging, much nicer looking skins, better editors and a bunch of other things.

  • bmzero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is hands down the best community software on the market for the .NET platform, and possibly any platform. The support community around this project is also great to work with.

    They have a free download of this available for not-for-profit organizations, and recently have added a "hosted community" product where they actually host the site and allow you to run your own community without any installation and upkeep issues.

    I have been using this for a while at http://www.SEQuads.com with great results.
