- kavery, on 10/11/2007, -17/+391Anyone have a program that can fix dead hookers in your car trunk?
- beelz, on 10/11/2007, -0/+297doesn't fix dead pixels just stuck ones
- joegibes, on 10/11/2007, -5/+97It's supposed to rapidly pulse the pixels to "un-stick" them, which also conveniently triggers seizures (great gag for your epileptic friend).
- xXShadowstormXx, on 10/11/2007, -4/+78I see dead pixels!
- timbro1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+71"JScreenFix is a software solution that can fix stuck pixels." Nowhere does it say it can fix dead pixels.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=kwfCqvBsUFE - ryancalderoni, on 10/11/2007, -2/+47this was seen on digg a while ago and got tons of hits but it does not fix dead pixels, only stuck ones and most of the time it is FASTER just to rub them out, it is LIQUID crystal display after all, i got rid of one just by pushing on it with a pencil eraser while this program didn't so anything for 5 minutes, i guess you are suppose to run it for hours though...
- TheCount, on 10/11/2007, -3/+44If it's bring dead pixels back to life, does that mean I'll have zombie pixels?
... yup, it's late. - ROFLance, on 10/11/2007, -2/+41jscreenfix will give you seizures.
- emorphien, on 10/11/2007, -1/+35because it can't, and they know that. Submitter is obviously confused about what the two terms mean.
- CBTF, on 10/11/2007, -0/+32Unfortunately none of these worked for me... I have a stubborn pixel that's always stuck on blue.
- jasutton, on 10/11/2007, -8/+35@joegibes
You wouldn't say that if you were epileptic, like me :) - whatsthatsmell, on 10/11/2007, -2/+19Heh, don't see how rubbing it out will fix it. Might make you feel better though.
- thecrazymonk86, on 10/11/2007, -2/+14@macha
its a java app.
figure it out - gmprunner, on 10/11/2007, -2/+13@joegibes
Yeah, that's the kind of thing you can do and have a good laugh over later at the bar. - alexf, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10Yeah, if you get a damp paper towel and gently push in for about thirty seconds it fixes them sometimes.
- Wartz, on 10/11/2007, -1/+10blogspam. Heres the direct link
http://www.jscreenfix.com/ - jmeeter, on 10/11/2007, -0/+9Buried for inaccurate title.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -4/+13I've never had any luck with these sorts of utils.
The theory is 'sound' but I've never seen them work in practice (doesn't mean they never will though). - jadenguy, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9my epileptic friend will laugh when he gets up in a bit.
- ryancalderoni, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9you try pressing in it or rubbing it out?
- speaker219, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9@paulowen:
Push F11. - T0B1A5Funky, on 10/11/2007, -0/+8If this worked on the DS lite, I might actually have some use for it.
- bobothn, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9@wafflez
That has to be the most helpful comment i have ever seen also the video is very educational step 4 might help a lot but it is hard to complete. - BigglesPiP, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8Something that wasn't explained, set it to the speed of your screen, 12ms for me.
- ZenMasterJG, on 10/11/2007, -2/+9You're why I usually don't read digg comments anymore.

No, you'd just kind of foam at the mouth a little and make gurgling noises. - SirTezzy, on 10/11/2007, -2/+8Does that mean those who dugg you down have to send Bill Gates $1.00?
- sancho320, on 10/11/2007, -0/+6Yay, it worked!
Oww, my head! - jadenguy, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5there's liquid in the liquid crystal displays that needs to be even.
- Cloud7654, on 10/11/2007, -0/+5I have the same problem with a stuck pixel near the top of my screen. I've been running JScreenFix over it for about 10 minutes now, but still no progress.
- expert01, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7@wafflez
You, my friend, deserve props for that.
Digg++ - Gherald, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4Now I just need something to differentiate the dead pixels from the dirt
- murraj2, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4http://www.jscreenfix.com/
Go to the website, theres a version that runs as just a web applet. - fugazied, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4I have had 2 red pixels for quite a while on my monitor, ran the app for about 30 mins no real change. Then saw you guys mention 'massaging' it. I gently rubbed near the stuck pixels and they were fixed. huzzah!
- andyd273, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3Turn off the xbox. works for me anyway
- astrotrain, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3@kavery
The only one I know of is The Wolf... he solves problems. - Gzero, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I tried these types of programs before, but it won't fix my pink-purplish pixel. I guess it's because that color means there are two colors that are screwed up simultaneously...
- ryancalderoni, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3rub them out!
- macha, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3For Linux and Mac users (as well as Windows) there's a java applet that runs on the browser: http://www.jscreenfix.com/basic.php
- BigglesPiP, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4tip-ex
- fantasticjon, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2They just came out with a browser cartridge for the DS for $30. I don't know if it supports java, but if it does, then jscreen fix might work.
- AntonCooper, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3I've fixed stuck pixels before by gently pressing them with a cloth. I guess that a program is better though as there's less risk of breaking something accidentally.
- AltEfFour, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I had a stuck pixel, which annoyed the hell outta me. The second app fixed it, and gave me a sweet headache for free.
Dam good find. - bytecolor, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I've owned at least 4 laptops and never noticed a dead pixel. I live in terminals though, so maybe the odds are in my favor.
- brbeaird, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2im in ur monitor, rezin yur pixelz
- diggdowner, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2If you have a flash cart, you might want to try these homebrew apps:

Stuck Pixel Fixer - gamemaster357, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2heres a Nintendo DS pixel fixer
http://www.ds-scene.net/sub_section/downloads.php?s1=A&s2=4A&s3=4A67&showfiles=1
if you have a modchip, it should run
hope it works for you, it did nothing for me and my dead pixels, but should fix stuck ones - andyd273, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Its called a damp cloth. Just don't use any cleaner that contains ammonia, as that will probably make things worse...
Just plain water works quite well... - murraj2, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I've had a few pixels that have been stuck on my laptop for 3 years or so, I opened the up and set the window to run on top. I know they're stuck and not dead cause they're always blue, not black. I think I'll let it run all night and hope that it works.
