- mager, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19I wish there was a huge billboard in Times Square posting random Twittr updates.
- Akaji, on 10/12/2007, -2/+17Thanks for the link, Arrowhead737. I was looking for some stories to bury, and you lead me right to one! Yay!
- tbeseda, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10I liked the idea to get feedback on a design version. Now I just need to get more of my friends to use it...
- postaldave, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9is there a list for 5 ways to use twister for evil?
- SuckMyDigg, on 10/12/2007, -4/+12Erm... I don't get it. That's the first I've heard of it.. I went there and saw some people saying "I'm surfing the web" from 20 seconds ago. "Okay I'm checking my e-mails" from 4 minutes ago.
Seriously.. wtf? - Switch22, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8We should start a whole Digg chain of users
- Switch22, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I've made a small little Javascript Bookmark that will when clicked will AIM "Twitter" saying:
I'm browsing [webpage title] at [webpage location].
More Info Here: http://www.22pixels.com/jennings/?p=35 - stalefries, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Would it be "twittered"? Like "I muttered", not "I mutted"?
- joeshlub, on 10/12/2007, -5/+10arrowhead, your abusing reply, spamming, and posting an article about something that shouldn't ***** matter since Firefox already has spell check, and I have to assume opera does as well. I suppose it's possible that someones browser wouldn't already include it, but long story short your still a douche bag.
- Narwaffle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4There really is no point to twitter. It's just a fun distraction.
- alia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3oh dear. a new way to waste my time.
- theberlindoctor, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I think the biggest misconception when a) blogging or b) twittering is that anyone really cares wtf your doing. seriously. spend your time more wisely than this. you've got one shot at a short life and your going to spend it reading "jaxx0hr33 is reading www.animalpr0n.com"?
- Apartment5F, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3just found out about twitter.
hopefully it wont make me less productive. - Atomic1fire, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3so I guess that would make a twittered user a twitt
- chrismcelligott, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Aslong as they're not your on your friends list it's all good.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I do like that it can be an easy and efficient way of managing "traditional" SMS alert content, such as the Weather users or the CNN Breaking News user that have been popping up lately. I don't like spreading my phone number everywhere just to get a quick snippet -- and at least I only have to do it once on Twitter and I get all the other web2.0 two-way interactions out of it as well...
- jonathanchong, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Twitted. Dugg.
- KlayBorg, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Nope, a twiterer..
- Ashex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Is this where everyone posts a link to their twitter profile?
- cbergeron, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5No thanks. This sounds lame.
It's almost as if we don't have enough distractions. The last thing I need is an entire internets full of people asking me what I'm doing right this second. - MisterSam, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Can someone explain the point of twitter to me please. I really cannot be bothered registering..
- mvannatter, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Unbelievable! Even if it's not true it is quite a nice idea.
- csshyamsundar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I wrote an Architectural Analysis of twitter.
http://csshyamsundar.wordpress.com/2007/03/11/architectural-analysis-of-twitter/ - ianonline, on 11/17/2007, -0/+2The messages are called "Tweets" and if used responsibly are the starting point of great conversations, or a way to track some blogs. See my earlier comment.
- drilldown, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Hell no. Take away any addicts fix and put 'em on legal crack? The addiction? There are no consequences, kinda like folks dying, but not in real life. Yahoo Answers went through that phase.
Reminds me of Iraq. "They got bombs, I swear to god, nukes, blow your ***** away, gotta kill them." talk. Every 5 Seconds. I'll pass.
What was that net news addiction website everyone was talking about oh so recently. Anyone twittering? - anastrophe, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3site's as dead as a doorknob.
- webcrumb, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2So wait, I'm going to put information about myself and what I'm doing into a huge online database of activities? I can't see this being used to profile...
- isdereks, on 10/12/2007, -5/+6Twitter is evil. It sucks the productivity right out of me.
- SuckMyDigg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Add PeeOnYou i guess...
- xyour925job, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Don't Be A twitt join Twitter
- daltonsbriefs, on 02/04/2008, -0/+1Fully 25% of my traffic to sites is coming from twits now, that's proof enough for me
- rileyschuit, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3What a complete waste of time. Another circle-jerk idea like MySpace. Soon it will be slow, crappy, and full of advertising.
- rockforever, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I prefer to use things for good or for awesome.
(this is digg someone better get that.) - booksoutloud, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0great site.
- tbeseda, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1tweeted?
- runescape2golds, on 10/25/2008, -0/+0But I love my site http://www.buyrunescape2.com/
- 3tcp, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Looks like it would be pretty lame most of the time and will become taken over by spam bots.
- ianonline, on 11/17/2007, -1/+0Anyone who doesn't understand Twitter tends to see only inane pointless messages. For example, why should I care if someone is reading their email?! I'm interested if a friend has just seen a movie I might want to see or some other talking point, but couldn't care less if they have just arrived at work.
- Chris24, on 10/12/2007, -7/+6Twitter is Fun, Easy, and all that is so true. All of those uses are great uses of Twitter! Twitter doesn't only answer the question "What are you doing?" its so much more....
-Chris - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -6/+5I dont get it, this is so dumb. would all users over 13 join me in boycotting this lame excuse for a web 2.0 startup
- skell, on 10/12/2007, -9/+4Thanks for the heads-up on Twitter, Justine. =]
- Switch22, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2It seems so, this might be one of the few Web 2.0 services I stick with.
- ijustine, on 10/12/2007, -13/+8Awesome.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -54/+0Hmmm.....looks like youtube got spell check, FINALLY: http://www.digg.com/tech_news/Youtube_Gets_Spell_Check_FINALLY
