- uzair21, on 06/20/2009, -0/+36I have been using Firebug for more than a year now I must say it is the best Addon for Firefox.
- Johnglave, on 06/20/2009, -1/+19Wouldn't be better to just use this collection https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/collectio ... ? Anyway its a good list.
- inactive, on 06/20/2009, -1/+9Absolutely useful for web designers!
- Chewie67, on 06/20/2009, -0/+7I'm amazed at how little respect the Web Developer toolbar gets. I couldn't develop without it, and I've never found a compelling need for FireBug as long as I have the WDT installed.
- gmuslera, on 06/20/2009, -1/+5Page Speed (http://code.google.com/speed/page-speed/) is another addon for firefox/firebug, much like YSlow, but with several meaningful differences.
- marx2k, on 06/21/2009, -0/+4IE8's Javascript debugger is like using Notepad to put together a photoshop collage. Seriously, it's a joke.
- keyo, on 06/21/2009, -0/+3yo dawg, we herd yo like yo extensions so we put an extension in yo extension so you can develop while yo develop, dawg.
- jboskoff, on 06/20/2009, -0/+3Fireshot looks really cool...
- decx, on 06/20/2009, -0/+3the best thing in webdeveloper-toolbar besides webdeveloping purposes is the fact that i can use it as an optional toolbar that i can switch on and off
in that toolbar i can put every control i dont need in my topbar
so i only have bookmarks in one line, and the adressbar in another line. combine that with a good small theme and menueditor to kill the contextmenüs on top and there you go. screen estate ftw
http://img36.imageshack.us/img36/6955/toolbarwin.p ... - justinp, on 06/20/2009, -0/+2Why not just put your Forward Back Refresh controls in front of your Address Bar and your File Edit View menus on the other end of it? It doesn't require any extra bits to be tacked onto your browser and the end result is you only have two "bars" ignoring your tabs but everything is always visible if you need it.
- rb1248, on 06/20/2009, -0/+2sweet, I didn't realize that addons can have addons themselves, FireBug is amazing as it is but FireDiff and FireFinder look like great additions.
- BoneStamp, on 06/20/2009, -0/+2Some of these are really bad ass, but why would anyone use FireFTP when FileZilla is so much better and it doesn't crash when your browser does.
- weif, on 06/21/2009, -0/+2several of these could be removed from the list as features of Web Developer Toolbar, which is on the list... (EditCSS, Window Resizer)
and some are redundant... (Fireshot, Screengrab)
was someone trying to fill a list of 35? - CleoQKazoo, on 06/21/2009, -0/+2They need to update those quickly to work with firefox 3.5
- keyo, on 06/21/2009, -0/+2Lol, I only need one plugin to resize a window, not 3,
Only need 1 plugin to edit and view css, etc. You probably only need 10 of those at most, duplicates everywhere. - MrFairladyz, on 06/20/2009, -1/+2Related by keyword-
"35 plugins for IE 8" - BoneStamp, on 06/20/2009, -0/+1and Web Developer Toolbar does screen resizing, so don't install both people.
- decx, on 06/20/2009, -0/+1because most buttons for that are bigger than the bar itself, and for plain forward, back and refresh i use my extramousebuttons, just when i need to go back to a specific site i use the buttons
and file edit view menus are useless, i have all the stuff i need in my mainwindow-context-menu on rightclick... menu-editor is good :> - r00fus, on 06/21/2009, -0/+1Are you serious?
WDT is good, and complementary to FireBug... both do things the other can't. Why choose? - MrTea, on 06/20/2009, -1/+2again?
- r00fus, on 06/21/2009, -0/+1Some places/accounts don't allow installation of programs, but yes, I prefer filezilla to FireFTP.
- ScotchInBox, on 06/20/2009, -3/+3excellent list
- bizworkout, on 06/20/2009, -1/+1Wow thats a great list!
- scy1192, on 06/21/2009, -1/+1Opera also has a similar feature built-in called Dragonfly.
- phqu88, on 06/20/2009, -2/+1IE8 has the same feature if not better...
*Still don't use ie8 full time...just for checking some errors in the silverlight apps that ive been playing with. - mattharvey716, on 06/20/2009, -4/+2Absolutely, positively
- Chilikesu, on 06/20/2009, -5/+2Sweet! Some new plugins installed, thanks guys!
Already had Colorzilla and Web Developer, which are awesome. - YouAreDead, on 06/20/2009, -9/+3crap
