- detrate, on 10/12/2007, -22/+41I don't understand why you got modded down, you speak the truth!
I use it every day, I can't imagine developing without it anymore!
p.s. HTML Validator and window resizer...? Yeah... those built into the web dev toolbar... don't know why they are listed... - mforeman, on 10/12/2007, -46/+60Please post another story about Firefox Extensions! *sarcasm*
You may want to consider the greatest web designer/developer extension period:
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/60/ - seanmc303, on 10/12/2007, -20/+26mforeman is right about the web developer extension. Why on earth I should take this list of 13 great FF extensions seriously without them including the web developer extension is beyond me. It is nice to know about some of the new ones that are coming out, but lets face it. The web developer extension does many of the tasks that some of these other stand alone plugins do. Also they left out the Venkman javascript debugger extension. For shame.
- bluephoenix, on 10/12/2007, -19/+23For any serious designer who doesn't know what we're talking about and hasn't yet heard of Chris Depederick's Web Developer Extension..go here http://chrispederick.com/work/webdeveloper/
It combines most of these features in a nice little toolbar....it's priceless. - Scottish, on 10/12/2007, -18/+21Honestly... I'm a little flabbergasted at what seems to be some hostility toward the Web Developer Toolbar. Is there some reason you folks out there don't like it? Some written counterpoints would be more appreciated than random down-modding.
- noahhoward, on 10/12/2007, -16/+18The Web Developer extension also performs the functions of several of the extensions that are in this list, could have saved room for some more useful extensions.
- Scottish, on 10/12/2007, -28/+30Old, but still the best, most versatile extention out there for web developers.
- rehanyarkhan, on 10/12/2007, -20/+21important missing extension is Web Developer Toolbar: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/60/

- srg13, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Why does every single comment except for three have negative diggs? Like daoustmark said: "If you don't like it, mark it as lame and move on with your life."
Seriously, what kind of loser diggs down every comment on a story? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -15/+15Yes, because you don't like Firefox news, it's not worty of your Digg space, right?
Digg doesn't revolve around you. It revolves around everybody who wants to read tech news. Firefox extensions can be considered tech news, and thusly, are appreciated here. If you don't like it, don't read the article. - GotGold, on 02/21/2008, -0/+0Avid F.F user, plugins are a great benefit, Found a great SEO website building software http://daletweb.net
- izonei, on 02/07/2008, -0/+0This is very informative as I am an avid F.F. user!

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/60/ My site: http://7007.com.ua - bleuken, on 08/13/2008, -0/+0i'll check all of this add-ons and test if it can help improve my rankings on SEs
- ob20, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0What's the big deal with knocking the firefox extensions, I am an SEO analyst and use them all the time and I put some more good seo tools here http://www.seoslap.com
- JimSkelton, on 06/28/2008, -0/+0I can't remember when I last saw so much negativity... Congrats on sturring up a hornets nest.
- DanielM1, on 07/16/2008, -0/+0Great should save us some time
- shucklak, on 10/12/2007, -10/+9VIM is the only web design tool you really need.
- Helicobacter, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3Developers, developers, developers, developers, developers, developers, developers, developers, developers, developers, developers, developers, developers, developers.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+2I don't get it - enough people have to vote for the article to get it to the front page, so why mod down every comment just because you don't like the fact that it got promoted?
If you don't like it, mark it as lame and move on with your life. Submissions about FF extensions will stop making it to the front page when Digg users no longer vote for them. - albatross5000, on 10/12/2007, -10/+7Also mentionable should be one of firefox's great DOM inspector plugins. These are excellent for looking at a page's DOM for DOM scripting. (We're talking AJAX and Web 2.0 here).
clagnut works quite well:

http://www.clagnut.com/images/dominspector_full.png - bennyboy371, on 10/12/2007, -19/+16Wow, someone sure is pissed about this one, there isn't a post older than a few minutes that hasn't been dugg down.
I'm going to digg every single person up to make one person's vote completely useless. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -18/+15Looks like somebody got bored and registered multiple accounts just to digg everyone down. Real mature, kiddo.
As for the list of extensions, some of them are pretty good. I especially like the Screen Grab one. - vagrantradio, on 10/12/2007, -10/+7Meh, just use web developer.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -16/+13Nah, someone just registered a bunch of troll accounts.
- szczym, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1and where is colorzilla, measureit and webdeveloper?
- poshsuicide, on 10/12/2007, -14/+11FireBug is A+
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2Its a fairly well known acronym...
- Scottish, on 10/12/2007, -18/+14Is there some kind of bug in Digg? Not a single comment here is in positive numbers. Are people so sick of seeing Firefox extension stories that they have to go through and mod down every comment to them? Get a life, people...
- geronimo, on 10/12/2007, -13/+9As others pointed out, it's a shame they didn't mention the web developer extension, I use that every day. I like the ability to view form fields, that saves time.
Also, another one I couldn't live without. Live http headers. http://livehttpheaders.mozdev.org/ The name says it all.
I gave firebug a try and I'll be using that. I like how you can move around the web page as it highlights the dom.
On an unrelated note. I probably have 100 extensions in firefox and it takes about 10-15 second to load a digg page. So I use opera to view digg as its javascript processing is much faster. But I use firefox on my other monitor for web development. It use to really be painful to browse digg then I switched over to opera and I havent had any problems, it takes a second or two now. - kkkkk, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0Screen grab seems to be the most useful tool of the listed.
- nborders, on 10/12/2007, -10/+6It has been said, but what about Web Developer??? My goodness, I couldn't get through a day at work without this extension. Possibly the focus of his piece was to point-out some of the extensions that may be little known. I gave it a digg, because I don't have time to go through all of the extensions. Plus mozilla's navigation through the extensions is the worst!

What is Digg?
