- SignorDildo, on 11/29/2007, -0/+1What I would really like to see is an open, collaborative general knowledge base with some decent reasoning engine offering an API, then leave it to the mashups to provide the interface. If you want an NLP front end then use NLTK (or some other package) and format the results in AIML so's we can give the web app a more approachable interface.
- pyry, on 11/29/2007, -0/+1Hum, where does 'Hakia' get their name from? Are they trying to be the Nokia of search? Relatedly, 'Haku' is the word for search in Finnish.

- inactive, on 11/29/2007, -0/+1If you're looking for the "next Google" this would be the area to watch. So far no one knows how to do this well and it will probably come out of nowhere when one (or a few) geniuses just get it right. Then again, if Google had any sense they'd be working on this day and night and buy anything that looks promising.
- flashingcurser, on 11/29/2007, -0/+1Yes. Among many other anti-semantites. Peter Norton would be proud.
- flashingcurser, on 11/29/2007, -0/+1As for freebase, I wonder if I will be able to backup ms/mysql to it? Now that would be cool.
- flashingcurser, on 11/29/2007, -0/+1These guys hadn't made it to grade school in the 80's. Wow freebase. Or maybe they did.

- masterob8, on 11/29/2007, -0/+0A really cool semantic site is Zoominfo.com. They create resume style people profiles by using natural language processing on web pages. Pretty cool site.
