- LordSkywalker, on 11/05/2007, -0/+26I've noticed all the HP brand laptops at my local tech stores come with Zango preinstalled. Thats on top of AOL, Norton and all the other ***** on them.
- FullHazard, on 10/12/2007, -0/+24Really? A new low? I mean, I would have thought the "partnered up with a company that published a 'child-porn themed web browser' was pretty much very bottom state any company could ever achieve. I mean, this is bad, but not 'a new low'
- Zippo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+22He was speaking in MySpeak... It's the native language of WasteofSpace users.
- JazonBladen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+19I'm getting really tired of Zango/180. They have done nothing but pollute the internet with spyware and adware and frankly, I'd like to see someone do something to get rid of them for good.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17Hehe, "*****". I love it.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+17you don't need to know what zango is. you don't want it.
- chris9902, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17you sound like my doctor.
"i'm sorry sir, you have Zango. Take 2 of these every 6 hours" - ikickass, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15theyve sunk to a brand new low
- Bobski, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14Has anyone else noticed a new rash of TV product commercials that, instead of posting "www.productname.com" at the leadout, are now using "myspace.com/hip-cool-name"
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13You're GETTING tired?! I been tired of them for ages. In fact they just piss me off now.
- tylerni7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10That "Tom Tucker" movie or whatever it doing that. Makes sense, they don't need to hire anyone for hosting or domain registration, and God knows they can get anyone with no qualifications to do all the 'web design.'
- tylerni7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9If you read the fine print on the Zango install thing, apparently it is illegal in Alaska...
"Special Notice for Residents of the State of Alaska, USA:
Unfortunately, according to SB 140 (Alaska), persons who reside in the state of Alaska may not install the Licensed Software. Therefore, by installing or Using the Licensed Software you represent and warrant that your computer is not located in the state of Alaska. To the extent that our system is able to recognize that your computer is located in the state of Alaska, we will not enable you to install the software."
And wow... this company is not only evil, it is disgusting what they try to do to get their software on your computer. - shanimal, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8+1 for Adblock extension in firefox! :)
- chris9902, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9wtf is Zango? If I was going to invest so my effort into something I would atleast give it a name that when people see they go "yeah, that's X"
- JazonBladen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Zango is a piece of adware and it's also a company that creates and distrbutes said spyware and adware. Under the guise of "videos", they were secretly installing the adware program on people's computers whenever they would view a page with a video on it.
- synaesthesia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Zango will pay you to set up a video site that requires you to install their software to view or they'll pay you to bundle their spyware with software you've written. They have a few other options available too, iirc-supposedly they pay pretty well. I'd post more detailed info but my HOSTS file blocks zango automatically :)
- lcarsdeveloper, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I guess the cybersquatters don't help much either. They find out a movie is possibly going to be discussed about MAYBE being greenlit, and they register the domains right away :)
I guess they figure if "everyone" is using MySpace, they don't need to worry about buying "www.some-movie-name-2007.com".
It's disappointing when an official website for a movie is removed. That will happen when MySpace dies (like all internet fads). - nicepants, on 11/05/2007, -1/+5Someone needs to find some of these spyware vendors in real life, and walk up and punch them in the face, and let them know exactly why you did it. (Provide photos/video as well) Then use a website to post pictures/collect donations to pay any possible legal bills. I guarantee whoever did it would have MORE than enough money to cover any lawsuit the spyware @$$h013 would throw at him/her. I would personally chip in $100 to the cause as long as I could see the whole thing on video.
Zango/180 and Surf Sidekick are at the top of my list, right up there with CoolWebSearch - TimRogers, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I'm suprised Zango isn't dead yet.
- enforcerpsu, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5THis goes right along with MySpace's greed and corruption. I remember when I could LOOK at a page without being set back by giant advertisements on every single f'n square inch of the page. That greedy arsehole Tom has sold the whole thing out to every single low life advertisement firm out there. Free PSP, Free ringtone, free xbox 360. ***** you Tom and ***** myspace. YOu would think they would try and do SOMETHING about zango, but of course they don't. Why doesn't anyone step forward and create a system that isn't over run by advertisements for fake *****?
- marnaq, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Capitalism?
- TheFoundry, on 11/05/2007, -0/+3Hmmm, I just ran Adaware and I have spyware called.... Windows! Windows itself is now spyware. EVERYTHING is spyware, Myspace has had a lot of spyware recently this is not surprising. *boots in Linux*
- LouBlobbs, on 11/05/2007, -0/+3Why not gather up all that money, and invite the known spyware writers to a conference out on a cruise in the ocean...then sink the boat.
- darkzealot89, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3momenet i see a damn comercial with myspace.com/waste-of-god-damn-bandwidth it is instantly not worth my time to me. VERY un-professional and simply myspace will be dead in a few short years... that will be the day.
- nicepants, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I like that idea as well...even though it seems a bit too humane to get rid of them that way. Could we just maroon them on an island somewhere?
- cremate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Tom doesnt even own it... NewsCorp does.
- wirah, on 10/12/2007, -5/+6Thats just gay! Yeah sure they get free hosting but for an official site I'd want to be able to view it in all browsers and offer some accessibility features.
MySpace is just terrible. - jamierterrell, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1As much as Zango sucks and all it is about time to hold Myspace responsible for their site. I mean if a brick and mortar business did anything like MYspace they would be shut down, in the sense come and do what ever and I will just turn my head.
- paulmike3, on 11/05/2007, -4/+5O RLY?
- shaolinpunks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1that's even a better idea
- shaolinpunks, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1screw that stab them in the face!
- LouBlobbs, on 11/05/2007, -0/+1Who makes a website like that in ColdFusion anyway?
- mrm128, on 04/03/2008, -0/+0yeah, right
http://theaffiliateways.com - cremate, on 11/05/2007, -2/+2How about ... don't install spyware?
Never had a peice in 2 years.... dont use virus scanner/adware much either. You just have to be smart about things and read. - BadazGT01, on 11/05/2007, -1/+0Stop crying people....just dont install it if you dont want it!
- shutdown, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3What is it in this page that is giving me Google ads like this...
