- jollyroger814, on 10/19/2007, -0/+68I make my niece talk on headset when im playing Halo online. It is some of the funniest ***** ever when some dude finds out or thinks he was pwn3d by a 5 year old.

No, it's OK, I can connect to it. There's an awful lot of porn on the site, though... - malkir, on 10/19/2007, -85/+149silly bastard
everyone knows that 127.0.0.1 is the IP for the entire internet
he's so good he deleted the internet! - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -8/+55I think maybe the guy was just fooling around out of boredom. No one could be this dumb.
- arkmtech, on 10/19/2007, -36/+75:: groans ::
This is older than my 20mb ESDI hard drive! Still a good laugh, but OLD.

funniest thing i've seen in a long time - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+21It doesn't take any "smarts" to get on IRC, hell just look at the motly collection of fools there sometime (yes, I know, I sure you have been on IRC before). I *wish* it took smarts to get on IRC, and usenet for that matter. I've met a few Cisco CCNA's that didn't know what 127.0.0.1 was, (yeah, big surprise).
As for your second statement, turn off your grandma firewallz and send me your IP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - crackhammer, on 10/20/2007, -5/+23Man, I'm in tears laughing at some of the logs on bash - never seen it before - here's one of the entries I though was funny: http://www.bash.org/?111338
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+21Call me crazy but I think he might be using sarcasm to his advantage.

COOOOOME OOON!! - empeethree, on 10/12/2007, -2/+18reminds me of the old windows 98 days and telling people that ctrl-alt-delete two times really fast would let them type in colors in yahoo chat.
good times - BigPapi, on 10/19/2007, -0/+16Holy crap that site's funny.

back on battle.net MOST people were that dumb
80% of the guys on there were just like that guy ;)
i havent seen anyone that retarded on IRC for years, but that guy was using a java irc client, the newb irc on ramp - Amplix, on 10/19/2007, -2/+16I can very much imagine the pissed off German kid saying all of this...
- iamthewinnar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14Here is a link to download the internet.
www.w3schools.com/downloadwww.htm - AhmedOmran, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13There's indeed no place like 127.0.0.1

- SnapETom, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14Sort of the same line as this, I was an early adopter of DSL when PacBell made it available in Northern California. It had a lot of problems when it first came out. On one tech call, I humored the lady on the other end and let her walk me through troubleshooting. I thought this was a good idea when I told her that their DNS server wasn't responding and she asked me what a DNS server was.
The conversation went like this:
Her: "You're using a Mac?"
Me: "Yes."
Her: "Set your DNS server to 127.0.0.1."
Me: "What? That's not right."
Her: "That's what it says in my book. For Macs, set the DNS server to 127.0.0.1."
Me: "That's the loopback address. Give me a supervisor."
Her: * Click *
Yeah. PacBell had a lot of problems with their DSL. - merreborn, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13wrong and wrong.
1) There are pleanty of idiots everywhere
2) There are pleanty of script kiddie tools that just take an IP. Don't you remember winnuke? Divine intervention is another classic. - prockcore, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11The ironic thing is that most people here don't know that the entire 127 class A is loopback.
http://127.196.24.61 is the same as 127.0.0.1, but much less obvious. - ThirdPrize, on 10/12/2007, -2/+13#11827 +(564)- [X]

Im sure they do that at a regular basis in apple stores ;) - Evic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11bitchchecker's computer was running to slow to effectively pull of the attack. He should have flicked that little red switch on the back of his power supply from 110 to 220.
Then he could boost his computer to twice the speed and really do some damage! - Daedalus81, on 10/12/2007, -3/+13You don't need to know about 127.0.0.1 to use IRC. Any highschool nerd can tell you how to use IRC in 5 minutes.
- sporkwitch, on 10/19/2007, -0/+10The sad thing is i've seen so many people EXACTLY like that, especially on yahoo and aim, but IRC has been infested in the last 5 or 10 years too. It's sad, but these people really are out there.

All People Seem To Need Drugs Periodically - regeya, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9I'd say it was fake too, but I read this and thought, "OMG JOON IS THAT YOU DUDE???!?" I had a roommate who trash-talked exactly like that. And he thought he had the entire world snowed...
- Pizon, on 10/12/2007, -4/+12What's next, "alt + F4 will get you ops" posts on the front page? Hell, even my cat is trying to bury this story.
