Doesn't work without the mms:// :( - fattyJ, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1hooch is crazy
- WackyT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1LOL! I went down to my local Wal-Mart at 3AM, turned right around, and grabbed an early breakfast. A cheap HP laptop wasn't worth facing a crowd like that.
- ohsh1rt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If this was in my highschool everyone would have made a circled and chanted:
Fight! Fight! Fight!
(i would have)
-jeffrey - duketogo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Attention Wal-Mart shoppers: BRAWL!
- LeFrenzy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I love newegg.

It should work for a few minutes =) - Amplix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1In other news: 99% of those HP notebooks have been introduced to a zombie network...
- musicmantrs, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Now, this just goes to show how non-violent the gamers that play the FPS's are, when the 360 came out on Tuesday did you see anyone trampled? No, we were organized. Nuff Said, still funny
- RatBagu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hell, our Wal-Mart is open 24/7. I went there last night at 12 AM
All I bought though was Pepsi and some applie pie. Nobody was there. I was still awake at about 7 and went there again to get some more food. It was packed. I just ignored it and went home and slept the rest of the day.
mmmmmm pie... - shiftless, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hahaha rampaging for a $378 HP laptop? That's what they're worth anyway!
- blindog, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0ahh now that's the holiday spirit everyone. :P
I'll pay the extra $$ to not get trampled. - wilf_brim, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I was out this morning, but things were very calm. I'm wondering if this will maybe stop some of the "loss leader" pricing at retailers. What is the point of making a big deal of one SKU, of which you have maybe 10. Just stupid.
- Namco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Cool new idea! $300 Laptop Fight Club. Rule #1: Don't talk about $300 Laptop Fight Club!!! Rule #2: Don't talk about $300 Laptop Fight Club
- tdkyo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I dunno if that laptop is even worth buying. Better save more money to buy a better one. (Maybe even a tablet PC)
- Gotar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1AMERICA! ***** YEAH!
- hospadam, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0In my opinion, it just depends on how much your time is worth to yourself? If you wait for 5 hours in line, just to save a hundred bucks, that's 20 bucks an hour. If you factor in the cold weather, and the several hours you have to wait in line to purchase the thing, and then the whole Friday you've basicly wasted because you didn't sleep, you've lost even more money. If saving that hundred bucks is that big of a deal to you, then it's your call. But, I'll just get it a couple days before, get a good night's sleep, and work a productive day and still "save" more money than you did. Plus I don't have to go to Wal-Mart or BestBuy.
- faithhammer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Got to my best buy at 12am and was 80th in line. Missed out on the cameras, but got a 150 comp. The first person in line got there around 5:30 pm on Thursday, fast asleep on an air mattress.
- Kindred420, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0damn,thats about 3 miles from me. crazy ass black friday shoppers
- facelessmanchs, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0omg...all that for probably the biggest piece of crap laptop ever...classic...dugg!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i got one of those laptops, first person in line. ***** cold out side though i think without windchill it was 14 degrees. yay waiting in line for 7 hours to get a ***** laptop, for my brother who wanted the laptop and the $150 computer.
- dmron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0God people are so freaking pathetic. How little is your time worth? I'll gladly pay a little bit more money not to have to put up with this kind of crap.
- vapb400, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0saw that earlier today....absolutely insane
- sulestis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It amazes me that so many people show up for this black friday *****. I gladly pay normal prices not to mingle with these low life cheap pieces of crap who camp out at wal-mart to save a hundred bucks. This is almost worse then that 50 dollar ibook fiasco a while back, where kids and the elderly were trampled by the crowd.
- shuffle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Thats great that all you *****'in hoity-toities want better laptops and PCs than this, but these deals are really appealing for those who can't get anything better. Usually though, its the damned resellers who see $$$ signs when the first word of a deal like this spreads. They'll trample kids and their Grandmas to get the deal... watch out.
- daworld, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"i got one of those laptops, first person in line. ***** cold out side though i think without windchill it was 14 degrees. yay waiting in line for 7 hours to get a ***** laptop, for my brother who wanted the laptop and the $150 computer."
You must have went to Best Buy. I went at 1 AM and barely got the $150 Desktop computer. Man I love Black Friday, I wish fights would break out over cheap crap everyday. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If one could do that to online cheaters... take that punk no laptop for you!!!
- wadechristy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0that is really crazy. That is why I stayed at home today
- gamabunta, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0nothing compared to the crowds for the imac laptops
- just_chris, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hard to believe people would stand outside all night long just to save a few bucks on some crap. How much did most of those people actually save...$50? Is that really worth it?
- a22e, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I live about a mile from that Walmart. For the breifest instant I thought about trying to get one of those laptops... Then I though about how much I would be made fun of by my friends if I bough a computer from Walmart... It looks like my mean friends kept me from getting into a fight, who knew?
- OswaldKenobi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"If you think going for the cheapest prices makes you an idiot then perhaps YOU are the stupid one getting suckered into buying the more expensive stuff to validate your self-worth."
No, standing in line for hours in the freezing cold just to buy crappy electronics at somewhat lower prices, and then getting into a physcial confrontation with a person or persons over said piece of electronic device, makes you an IDIOT. And yes, I am worth more than that. I'll pay the higher prices, thank you. - MikeMacMan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is exactly why I did NO shopping on black friday.
- stisev, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That's pathetic.
Those laptops arecheap crap. - Eagle1105, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Why stand on line, when you can shop online. I do all my shopping through my own online business. Christmas shopping already done, didn't even have to come out of my house to do it and I got paid. Ain't it great!
- blixel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"No, standing in line for hours in the freezing cold just to buy crappy electronics at somewhat lower prices..."
It doesn't get "freezing cold" in Orlando. :) (At least, not very often.) I had a light jacket on and I was fine. (And no, I'm not a lard ass. I weigh about 110 lbs.) But I wouldn't stand in line to buy the crappy laptop. I'd rather spend $1,200 - $2,000 and get one that was actually worth owning. Junk is junk no matter how much it costs. $199 piece of junk is still - junk. - version30.x, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Despicable yet humorous -- wonder if the laptop manufacturer tested the durability of their systems getting launched 20 feet into a hostile crowd.
No report of kneed nuts, no mangled strollers, no report of old people on walkers getting rolled -- I guess these losers were actually better behaved than the animals at the iBook fiasco earlier this year. - blixel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I was down at Circuit City last night at 4 a.m. waiting to get in. Orlando area. They had the new model GameBoy SP with the brighter screen for $67. Plus it came with 2 games and a pair of wireless headphones. I thought it was a pretty good deal. I almost left though when I saw the crowd. It was pretty insane. But I'm glad I stayed. It was peaceful chaos. Just a lot of people moving about, but no one was fighting or yelling or anything like that. And the store had TONS of the GBA-SP's in stock so there was no issue with shortages. The new screen on these things is infinitely better than the old model. I'm quite pleased. I still have a collection of GBA games that I would rather play on the SP than my Nintendo DS because the SP is smaller, lighter, and the button configuration is better for GBA games.
- maskd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Mmmm I'm imagining a situation like this on eBay... It's a rather bizzarre image..
- AnotherName, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0my local news showed a hilarous video of this trashy bitch who was at the front of the mob, fell down, AND HER WIG FELL OFF! she was all worried about getting it back on instead of getting trampled by the lemmings behind her.
the best was the news station had the nerve to show a montage of all the chaos over christmas music, while zooming in on her with one of those highlighting circles!
so funny. - MalDON, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0378 is nothing. Frys had a laptop for 348 and I grabbed one but when I opened it there was no expansion slots, no ethernet or dialup modem ports, no sound ports, no usb etc. basically it was crap.
- tange1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm posting from one of the cheap HP's. Its OK and yes, it was cheap. As for my story, i was there from 2:30 am till 5am. We were told to line up at one spot, found the laptops were in another spot, everyone charged, people got hurt. Then the manager couldn't get control of the crowd and they bum-rushed him. Eventually he was forced to just take the names of the 19 people near him. 19 was all they had, and about 100 very angry suburanites..
- blixel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Hey if you went that Wal-Mart how was it ????"
I'm sure for 99.99% of people, it was uneventful. The News only ever reports on the less than 1% of 1% of situations that are dramatic. - the-rip, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0black friday summed up in one word: pwn3d
- n3tfury, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0America LOL
- marcbar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It was soooo great, i went just to see some action. I waited in the laptop line, i cut, i got people kick from the line cuz i said they cut, it was soooo great. I love black friday, i'm guess it means 'black eye friday' cuz thats what i saw lots of, and i even got threatend, and got that stupid bastard kicked out of the store, i got the last laptop and said i was gonna put it on layway...hope its still there in january muah ahahahha
- hiredgun, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"hooch is crazy"
Turner and hooch! - CAPSLOCK, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Anyone who will line up for hours just to get into a Wal-Mart is a sap.
- doafhat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Just think, with all the money people save on Black Friday, they can afford to pay their medical bills on Black & Blue Saturday! What a country!
- whiteV6, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hey if you went that Wal-Mart how was it ????
