- Chaos12, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"Art of Intrusion" by Kevin Mitnick, good read for anyone interested in some great hacking stories.
- Duston, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I don't quite understand why people are going off on how this will unleash a avalanche of script kiddie attacks. The tools have been available for some time with online "how to"'s If someone was so inclined Google will provide many "hacks in a can".
I guess my point is if you are doing pen testing in house or for consulting Metasploit is nice. Whopix is handy too for a quick demo on a client's site. - el_jefe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"1. Pick which exploit to use
2. Configure the exploit with remote IP address and remote port number
3. Pick a payload
4. Configure the payload with local IP address and local port number
5. Execute the exploit"
Thats not hacking. Anyone using that would be defined as a "script kiddie". That takes absolute no knoweldge of anything, except how to use a keyboard. - stoops, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yea, I have to admit hacking is becoming more and more of a script kiddy thing, with their one button click/enter a few commands abilities.

Eliza says: "Whould you like to elaborate on that?" - umdebaba, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@el_jefe
Because we all know hacking is limited to complex intrusion of systems...
Pen testers who use tools for audits to save time are merely script kiddies as well right.... - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The ethicalhacker is a pretty terrible site for any kind of security information. Metasploit, in itself a script-kiddie tool, has been out for years and has been covered to death by pretty much everyone.
- Duston, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Measploit is a nice tool.
- sgtpinky, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0When I was 16 my mate and I hacked the local library's internet computer by writing a VB 3.0 app that mimicked their security system. ROFL. Their password was 'xyz123', hehe. Them were the days...
- ardentjames, on 07/08/2009, -0/+0Wow I did not see that coming..

I'm pretty familiar with DOS and windows, but never used linux or hacking tools, and I was still slightly confused. It might make more sense if I actually followed the steps, but there was a lot of crap it told you to do before you actually hacked in...I'd rather stick with the even simpler ones...especially if they work in windows... - marchukt, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0woah thats awsome!
- CanuckPlumber, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Read it and this is all I heard, wa wa-wa wa waa wwa wa-wa...

by saying linux and hacking tools in the same side of a congruity, you may have well caused yet another diatribe to start. LET THE DEFINERS COME FORTH! - phlud, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0meh, nothing new. better sh*t out there.
- chezzman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0interesting article.
- Googled, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1great give the script kiddies something to play with

- jgee, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1I hate being labeled....
- jgee, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0heh, sorry should have arrowed to "^" googled. I hate being labled, but yeah it is true sometimes...like in this case.
- dbpigeon, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0It was a good informational article, but I would never actually do this. I don't find it funny to screw over people whenever you feel like it.
- mogebier, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0I am sure that the Geeks that have nothing better to do than make people's lives miserable by hacking with have fun with this.
