- doshindude, on 10/16/2008, -1/+171even pirates have standards :)
- IHaveIssues, on 10/16/2008, -0/+86The torrent community is a great self-policing one anyway. I mean if you are selecting a torrent without reading the comments you're your own worst enemy.

- Volatile36, on 10/16/2008, -6/+30"Piracy is illegal. So it's wrong. But I do like free *****. And that makes it okay."
- nj10ii, on 10/16/2008, -1/+25Don't you have to pay for a Usenet host?
- aimhelix, on 10/16/2008, -1/+22Nobody likes Frackers.
- subgeniusd, on 10/16/2008, -0/+19Demonoid is so excellent I've never even tried anything else and probably never will.
- inactive, on 10/16/2008, -0/+19except the cops really do help sometimes
- inactive, on 10/16/2008, -2/+21in before losers start debate on the morals and laws of piracy.
- mrthebunny, on 10/16/2008, -0/+18Depends on which side of the sword you are.
- Ragzouken, on 10/16/2008, -1/+17'Piracy is illegal.' [leap of logic] 'So it's wrong.'
- sidizzle, on 10/16/2008, -1/+17What took so long
- graemee, on 10/16/2008, -0/+14Particularly for the obscure and obtuse, which myself and 12 others seem to like. Seriously they have some really great torrents of some unusual quality.
- yuravian, on 10/16/2008, -0/+14I have to agree that this should have been done awhile back, but it's still good that they're doing it now.
- nofate2029, on 10/16/2008, -1/+14Me thinks I'll will drink some Rum in toast of this, says I!
- android8675, on 10/16/2008, -0/+12-You don't have to hunt for missing "parts" of the file.
-It may seem slow, but maybe you're not downloading the right file. Gotta look for the ones with a lot of "Seeders" or "Leechers" (People that have the whole file, or part of it respectively)
I think inajeep is right, use whatever works for you. I find with the right Torrent client setup, you get better results, but you may have some system setup that works better. I don't know. - keyforce, on 10/16/2008, -0/+12http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scurvy
- ortucis, on 10/16/2008, -0/+11Except that their search engine ***** bricks everytime someone searches for anything useful.
- inactive, on 10/16/2008, -4/+15Who cares about right and wrong when free stuff is at your fingertips? I'm tired of people trying to justify everything they do. I pirate like crazy but I don't pretend that what I'm doing isn't immoral. lol
- nesagwa, on 10/16/2008, -1/+11Usenet costs money on top of your internet connection.
I cut mine off because the newsgroups for HD content and even regular TV content were exactly the same as whats on torrent trackers.
Sure its faster by a fair margin, but not worth the cost honestly. - MrBabyManSTFU, on 10/16/2008, -0/+10Comments are helpful but I've seen more and more where no comments are left. Hell, TPB even put the rating feature in where you only need to click + or - if the damn torrent is good, it doesn't get easier than that yet people refuse to use it in order to help the community out. Meanwhile there are 100000 seeders hosting a 3kb "HD Movie"
Using your own common sense is most useful when downloading torrents. - inajeep, on 10/16/2008, -0/+10What ever works for you I guess.
- WhiskeyLemur, on 06/30/2009, -2/+11Don't you mean "Yaarrrrrrr!" ?
- graemee, on 10/16/2008, -0/+8Not be part of the Grammar Reich, it's Trojans. And since TPB do not host any files they can not virus scan them. You will always have to do due diligence when downloading warez, gamez and keygenz. You get what you pay for. They have Comments and you can leave others a note, with some proof that the virus exists. Or forget the warez ***** and just download videos and audio.
- davidbeile, on 10/17/2008, -0/+8Go back to 4chan
- insanebrain, on 10/16/2008, -9/+17> "I don't understand torrenting. I've never done it"
Then shut the ***** up, start using it and think again. - nesagwa, on 10/16/2008, -0/+7I forgot about that, PAR files. No need for missing .001 type files or the PAR files to repair them.
Why people still upload split zip and rar files in torrents baffles me. - inactive, on 10/16/2008, -0/+7Haha some MPAA/RIAA Exec just rolled over in his grave.
- inactive, on 10/16/2008, -0/+7did they remove also the Moviex tracker? i hope so
- WhiskeyLemur, on 06/30/2009, -0/+6Touche.
- Dweller99, on 10/16/2008, -1/+7"I don't understand torrenting. I've never done it... from the trouble and speed that you get from torrenting I don't see how it's worth the hassle."
Try it sometime. You will be surprised. Download uTorrent, click 2 or 3 times to install. find a torrent, click on it, click the save destination and let it run. Usenet is a much bigger pain in the ass to setup and use. I have done both extensively so unlike your conflicting comments about both never using it and declaring it a "hassle" I am speaking from experience.
For speed, find a private tracker. I downloaded at 1.2MB last night, and do all the time. (thats is MegaBYTE per second). - inactive, on 10/16/2008, -5/+11i kinda like how they removed fake trackers from torrents
- xsecretfiles, on 10/16/2008, -6/+12So no more fake "Lolita porn" clips?
YAY - WhiskeyLemur, on 06/30/2009, -1/+7Pirate Bay is about 14.5 leagues that-a way ☞
After that, look for the lightning-struck pine; with your back to the side with the ☠ carved on it, face 12 degrees north-by-northeast; take 5 1/2 paces rimwards, make a quarter-turn due south, take 4x10(6) more paces, and start digging straight down. Mind the explosive package about 3 feet under the topsoil. - Boofster, on 10/16/2008, -0/+5Thank you Pirate Bay!
- inactive, on 10/16/2008, -9/+14This looks just as stupid as kids singing "***** tha police!"
- techsmack, on 10/16/2008, -0/+5.nzb files are just like torrent files, no need to search and search for par files that art included... And sites like NZBmatrix that has 240 days of file listing rention that matches up with my giganews rention I don't have to weed through torrent results and try 5-10 that may or may not work if its old. Not to mention I get the same speed if the file was just uploaded as I would if its 240 days old. Don't kill my upload speeds. Not to mention both me and my friend had our mediacom cut off because of torrenting... Sure I pay for giganews - but isn't that better than no service at all? It's still cheaper than renting, and I don't subscribe to standard cable television because I download everything I need to watch, or catch it on youtube/hulu/joost.
- Elranzer, on 10/16/2008, -1/+6Thing with newsgroups is that you have to download what's popular WHEN it comes out. Good luck trying to find some older material.
- Louis11, on 10/16/2008, -0/+5I honestly can't tell if you're being sarcastic O_O
- vilago, on 10/16/2008, -1/+5its a captain morgan's life for me
- Calinthalus, on 10/16/2008, -0/+4Not a Rickroll....it's worth watching.
- krokodil, on 10/16/2008, -0/+4I think they should publish list of known "bad" trackers. The Torrent community will benefit from that - other trackers and event torrent clients can use such list.
- aforsberg, on 10/17/2008, -0/+3I agree but I dugg you down to protect the secret of our powers
- ray86, on 10/16/2008, -0/+3limewire and napster didn't start pirating, usenet is as old as the internet.
