Any software that steals cycles for any reason is bad. Anyone that thinks they have any right to a single cycle of my CPU is evil. It's bad enough that there is a reason to write a program to use cycles to get rid of cycle thieves. Must we also put up with frivolous legal endeavors wasting the time of heroes helping us keep our machines free of useless drivel?

I too have used Spybot S&D for years and it's been a GREAT asset. I donated $5 too, just as a way of telling them...your software is great, and...your SPINE is even greater. It's good to see a company standing up for the "little people" for once.
Incidentally, the "program" they found the trojan in is one that Spybot actually alerted me to on one of MY computers after my teenage son and/or his friends either installed it, or it did a hijack job on that machine. I tend to think one of the kids installed it, but...regardless, it's been gone for a WHILE now! LOL I recognized the name of it right away in the article and I burst out laughing! :) - Pokelicious, on 10/12/2007, -3/+34Don't be ashamed to be an Aussie because of that.
