*many will enter, one will win. - duckyinc, on 07/21/2008, -6/+171"Mitnick was put in solitary confinement and prevented from using a phone after law enforcement officials convinced a judge that he had the ability to start a nuclear war by whistling into a pay phone, he said."
ROLF! - LeviTheSmith, on 07/21/2008, -1/+157Hey cool.. this song is in .exe format.
- CLAWC, on 07/21/2008, -5/+126People are dumb. They see "Click here for your FREE Super-duper Anti-Virus scan" or "Learn how to become a millionaire in ONE week!" then complain when they get some sort of rootkit or hijacker. Just use your head. That's a BIG part of internet security. Stop surfing dangerous porn, downloading every damn thing you want & falling for FREE (much too good to be true) crap.
- StuartGibson, on 06/14/2009, -3/+121FREE KEVIN!
Wait, I'm nearly a decade out now. That makes me feel old. - LeviTheSmith, on 07/21/2008, -1/+79Hi, give me your password and I will give you 100 Habbo creds.
- trevorh, on 07/20/2008, -2/+67The reality tv show he is working on sounds like something I might actually watch.
- Dozernotz, on 07/21/2008, -0/+57I've always wondered what the difference was between "social engineering" and "running a con." Is it just geekier because there's computers involved?
- poopdigger, on 07/21/2008, -2/+39kevin rose taught me how to get free pizza
- Stavrosian, on 07/21/2008, -0/+34Technically there are no computers involved in social engineering, it's just that the only people likely to use the term are computer people.
And no, there really isn't any difference. All social engineering consists of is confidence tricks. I guess if there were to be a difference, you would say that running a con carries an implication of expecting to steal money, whereas a social engineer may simply be looking to steal information. - jemka, on 07/21/2008, -2/+35It was a joke. He doesn't have any friends.
- ReignInMud, on 07/21/2008, -1/+34They should have also threw him off a cliff to see if he'd fly, if he were to fall and die, he would be innocent.
- chrispr, on 07/21/2008, -0/+32I'd really love to see this dangerous porn you speak of.
- mspink, on 07/21/2008, -3/+35I can make people do what I want too, but that's because I have boobs. That doesn't make me the world's most dangerous hacker.
- mrblue182, on 07/21/2008, -1/+31That's not social engineering if you did it by accident.
- silentb0b, on 07/21/2008, -0/+27i want to know how he was able to see blocked caller id's.

- CatsAreGods, on 07/21/2008, -1/+24Wait, you were both willing to pay $50 to go to a club?
What, were they giving out free drugs or something? - Kormiku, on 07/21/2008, -3/+25wtf... english please?
edit: let me figure this out:
1. you went to a club
2. your friend gave 100 dollars to enter it
3. you gave 50 dollars to enter it
4. the person taking the money gives 50 dollars back to your friend.
5. your friend says that the 50 dollars he just got back is your 50 dollars
6. you take the 50 dollars back
....
how does that mean you went in for 25 dollars? It looks like you went in for 50 dollars each. Your friend paid 100, and you paid 0. - scalded, on 07/21/2008, -1/+19The correct meme here is "***** or gtfo".

- Risingashes, on 07/21/2008, -0/+17Are you trying to imply that everyone that isn't a 'computer nerd' is also retarded?
- HonoredMule, on 07/21/2008, -0/+16Wow you read slowly. Making sure you absorb it all?
- Tob3z, on 07/21/2008, -0/+16If you're such a smart ass you should know that in todays world the work hacker is used instead. The media can't say a cracker stole hundreds of credit card details.
Dugg down not because of that. But because you called Mitnick a fool. - skyshock1, on 07/21/2008, -0/+14Dude, guys aren't supposed to have boobs.
- tman84, on 07/21/2008, -2/+16When did espionage get a fancy new name?
- TheYar, on 07/21/2008, -1/+13The difference between a con and social engineering is that a con is usually targeted directly at getting someone to give up money. Social engineering gets someone to give up technical data and system access, often without the victim even understanding the value of what they just gave up.
- brettg102, on 07/21/2008, -13/+25Obama is running the worlds greatest social engineering project ever. He's cleverly positioning himself to get you to give things up without even knowing their value. (anticipating incredible buries.)
- KingFog, on 07/21/2008, -2/+13He's actually what's known as a "Phone Phreaker"

- Nico_, on 07/21/2008, -2/+10Yes.. Kevin Mitnick is a random idiot. Why dont you just stfu and sit down.
- TinternAbbot, on 07/21/2008, -1/+9Getting nerds to digg you up because you said you have boobs doesn't count as making people do what you want.
