Click Here To View Options Then Ignore Them - chris9902, on 02/18/2008, -2/+147god damn it people! If you don't turn your firewall on the terrorists have won.
- kupa, on 02/18/2008, -1/+114not surprising if the system isn't connected to the internet in anyway.
windows is used a ton of places, no? my favorites are the random bsods though =D - rgov, on 02/18/2008, -4/+111At Sky Harbor in Phoenix (if I remember correctly) one of the arrival/departure screens had the "Unexpectedly quit" dialog from OS X. Seems like the people who code those apps just suck at it, regardless of operating system.
- deviouskoopa, on 02/18/2008, -2/+87Now you know where they get all the in-flight movies...
- latova, on 02/18/2008, -6/+85I don't know why people are digging him down, hes completely correct on all 3 count statements.
- minnymoo, on 02/18/2008, -6/+66old.
- magnetarc, on 02/19/2008, -2/+59After recently installing and switching on my new LCD HD TV for the first time, the first picture I saw was a BSOD.
My heart sank...After much fuming and head scratching I found that the TV channel that my cable box was on was actually broadcasting a BSOD. Oh how I chuckled at their little joke. - diskit, on 02/18/2008, -4/+44Who said they didn't?
- scarz99, on 02/18/2008, -1/+35Windows Flight Control Center has stopped responding. Click Here to End Task.

Nice... Saw this on reddit.com your views should go through the roof.
POSTED 8 MONTHS AGO - mlwarrior, on 02/19/2008, -1/+27Hardware problems can be "random", so can disk errors. This isn't so much the fault of the OS, but it would cause a blue-screen. Also, nothing is really "random" when you think about it, it's just a term we use to describe things we can't understand or predict, and I bet there are some OS side blue-screens that can't be predicted or understood, which is pretty much the definition of random.
- zephyr42, on 02/18/2008, -4/+28^^ torrents running slow.

- ieataquacrayons, on 02/18/2008, -0/+17This doesn't happen on those large boards at airport such as Charles De Gaulle. You know the big loud ones that sound cool as it changes...Okay, maybe it's just a weird fetish for them.
- ers35, on 02/19/2008, -5/+22I didn't know µTorrent had a plugin system. Oh wait, that's because it doesn't. µTorrent is great for normal users, and Azureus is great for power users.
- carpespasm, on 02/18/2008, -2/+18Not too big a deal as long as the machine is running for that specific task and has a decent network firewall.
- inspecality, on 02/18/2008, -3/+19Oh man, it gets funnier every time.
/sarcasm - BlueSkyfish, on 02/19/2008, -1/+17But you can't see the status of the last 2 flights. You'd think they'd hire somebody capable enough of turning off the balloon.
- MacSuxWindozSux, on 02/19/2008, -2/+16Click here to defragment the runway.
- Perigren, on 02/19/2008, -1/+14Sounds like a good idea for a 24 episode.
- DeFex, on 02/18/2008, -0/+13um. you dont need any of that stuff if you have an alternative which works better. such as hardware fireall etc.
they should have turned off the stupid security center warnings though. - JamesZB, on 02/19/2008, -2/+14Is It Fun To Make All Of Your Words Start Off With Capital Letters?
- thrikulam, on 02/19/2008, -3/+15Why do you persist on failing?
- Cymrubeats, on 02/18/2008, -2/+14No idea how old the pic is, but i used to get that message all the time soon after sp2 was released (it's the reason i always turn off the security center service out of habit now,) even though i had/have AVG and a hardware firewall.
- inactive, on 02/19/2008, -2/+13That's nothing. A friend of mine is a air traffic controller and he was on duty when all the radar screens went blank. He had to recall from memory all the flights under his control, several dozen, and write them on yellow post it notes. He moved the post-it notes around the blank radar screen. He had to do it for 2 hours. When it was over he was so stressed out his wife had to come pick him because hands were shaking so much he couldn't insert the car key in the car door lock. Another controler was rushed to the hospital for chest pains.
- zephyr42, on 02/19/2008, -3/+13Owwmkneecap..... apparently
- strictnein, on 02/19/2008, -1/+11It's entirely possible that the system is connected to some old serial data feed at the airport. I'd actually be surprised if it wasn't. Thus, no need for all the extra junk.
- Audacitor, on 02/18/2008, -3/+13Depressing, isn't it? No variety.
- franksalvo, on 02/19/2008, -3/+13I saw this on Digg. I stopped to have a giggle, then moved on.
- bullsfan03, on 02/19/2008, -4/+13Thank you, Captain Obvious. Care to share any more insight to save the day?
- inactive, on 02/18/2008, -0/+9Are you related to AAK15
- MasterThief117, on 02/18/2008, -1/+10They must have turned off their Norton.
- tehbored, on 02/19/2008, -0/+8Damn, look at all those on time flights. Well, I know it wasn't at Newark Airport.
- mal1964, on 02/18/2008, -1/+9LOL, That's funny what will those darn Terrorist think of next.
- crash331, on 02/19/2008, -2/+10I don't think it's embarassing except for a few hundred geeks. 99% of the people passing through that airport could care less.
- weeeezzll, on 02/19/2008, -1/+9BSODs are always random in the sense that the OS can never predict them.
- chrispix, on 02/19/2008, -0/+8How do you know they don't have a firewall, I am guessing you meant hardware and software b/c you mentioned hardware 2x in your post. Some networks run things like cisco clean access that don't even allow rogue machines on their network. If this network of departure / arrival computers is on its own private network (i.e. not connected to internet). I would not be that worried. I have also seen on occasion where windows does not identify anti-virus applicaitons, and still says you are not protected. Turning on Windows Firewall on every PC on the network is just about stuipd, talk about a managment nightmare.
- kris33, on 02/19/2008, -2/+10Yeah, you surely need a lot of power if you want to run Azureus without bogging down your computer
- IChazI, on 02/19/2008, -0/+8Can't believe you actually wasted time looking that up.
