Alternate Title 2: Porn Industry Comes Together - OBKenobi, on 10/10/2007, -1/+131I pirate porn because I refuse to pay for sex.
- cyranthus, on 10/10/2007, -11/+112dugg for the same reason, lol.
you said 'hard up' in a porn headline - Alphateam, on 10/10/2007, -3/+96There's porn on the internet?
- rhabd0mancer, on 10/10/2007, -4/+86You can take my pirated porn when you pry it from my cold, jizz-covered fingers.
- alvinrod, on 10/10/2007, -1/+58Everyone in the porn industry has someone to ***** other than the consumer.
- wonderchemist, on 10/10/2007, -0/+50"I worry about [the producers] coming up with DRM or technological solutions, because they're not going to work."
So the porn industry understands there's no such thing has magic DRM, what's wrong with the rest of the entertainment industry? - lime148, on 10/10/2007, -1/+44They're also food.
- iepurilah, on 10/10/2007, -0/+41poor porn producers :D
- ryodoan, on 10/10/2007, -1/+36I need some mind bleach after that comment.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+36250 GB? Rookie.
- fantasticFlan, on 10/10/2007, -1/+34"Well, you're internet is all set up. What're you gonna do with it?"
"I don't know, but I definitely won't be downloading pornography without paying for it."
"That's great. Let's *****." - shakestheclown, on 10/10/2007, -2/+22I won't let these bitches suck me dry!
- andrew522, on 10/10/2007, -1/+20Hi, I'm from Dateline NBC, ....
- jjb123, on 10/10/2007, -5/+24Dugg for the same reason.
- cquinnd, on 10/10/2007, -0/+19The rest of the entertainment "industry" consists of middlemen who are trying to make a lot of money off of the talents of a few people who can do something rare and special.
The porn industry understands that their "talent" does something that most of the populace can do, they just need people who are willing to do it in front of a camera, and look good at the same time. - Napoleone, on 10/10/2007, -3/+21Not much the porn industry can do. There's enough freely available pornography on the www to satisfy demand for the next 100 years... or till holographic porn becomes a reality.
- smackjer, on 10/10/2007, -2/+19Now imagine Charlton Heston saying it.
- jax9999, on 10/10/2007, -0/+16See the thing about porn is, no matter how well made it is people will always want to see good ole fashioned home made smut. Thats why things like http://xtube.com and http://caperboiadventures.com will always be around
- mrgoat, on 10/10/2007, -1/+15no name girl gets about 600-1000 bucks, guy about 300/500. so thats for one scene. say 3 scenes in a film. then you have sound, camera, lighting, etc, then editing, then music (I know laughably bad in most cases), then the duplication, cases, printing, distribution.
you are way off
but what do I know, I only work in porn. - mywhitenoise, on 10/10/2007, -2/+16pssh, ***** try me, man! I already have a good 250 GBs to get me off.
- lokee73, on 10/10/2007, -2/+16Yeah...and what are you going to do NEXT week?
- smackjer, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14Isn't that called "rape"?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13You could save some money if you realized that nobody watches porn for the music.
- yujie, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13They should push it hard from behind
- KevinRoseMustDy, on 10/10/2007, -5/+16Teacher: You have been getting rather low grades for some times. I need to ***** you to teach you a lesson.
Student: Um,... how will that help my studies? - brucerchapman, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12FTA: "He also said that the industry could start to pair pirateable material—the movies—with nonpirateable material, such as t-shirts and other items to make legit sales more attractive"
What a joke - I assume the reason most people download porn on p2p is because they can do it in private (and for 'free'). Ownership of a t-shirt that advertises 'I bought porn' is not likely to improve sales. That's like STD clinics handing out baseball caps with 'I don't have the clap anymore!' logos after every treatment. - manicallday, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11I think that people making their own porn is probably a bigger threat to the industry than downloading. Most of the stuff that you can download is the same stuff that's been online for years. The industry just needs to come up with some better concepts. .
- treed, on 10/10/2007, -5/+16How about reasonable prices? You ***** are charging more that Hollywood for a film that cost you maybe $1000 to make.
- dukeeeey, on 10/10/2007, -3/+13hasn't enough porn been made ?
surely theres so much out there that there simply doesn't need to be anymore ? - Isaaxmz, on 10/10/2007, -5/+14I see what you did there!
- 0firefly0, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10http://www.youporn.com
- joemofo214, on 10/10/2007, -3/+12yes, becuase we can eat females...
- Timmaay, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11i only eat babies.
- spectre, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9Ice Cube once said something that stuck with me, "There are two things I'll never pay for, Pussy and Water; I can get both for free."
I thought that I couldn't possibly find an industry that I gave less of a ***** about pirating from than film and music, and then here comes this article! - cquinnd, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9Titles with the highest production values ever have just come in recent years, there are lower production costs because more people are doing gonzo and amatuer porn, and using the internet for primary distribution rather than spend money authoring DVD and HDTV content.
Piracy is as big a concern for them as it is for any major content creator. - RAEP, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10well..we can eat males too, but it's not as satisfying.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8I jack off in 30 seconds. Free samples are enough for me.
- yotomote, on 10/10/2007, -5/+13WILL SOMEONE PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN????
- skyfire1, on 10/10/2007, -3/+11Pirating sex beats pirating porn. :)
- MrZaiko, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9im never satisfied with my porn, I always want more
- indicas, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8unless you have been involved in the adult business i think it's hard to get a perspective on it. p2p and content theft is a very big problem. combined with other serious issues (spyware, fraud, etc), the profit margins are getting thinner and thinner.
digg me down for going against piracy, but to think p2p doesn't affect the adult industry in a big way is just wrong. - ahawks, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9I gave you a +1.
I hate the r+n combo, I've always read "m o d e r n" as "m o d e m" because of the r+n illusion. - jsg7, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Alternate Title 5: Porn Industry Taking It Up The Ass From Pirates
- dsmx, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5There is never enough porn made, as long as there are menl porn will be made.
- BlackJackJester, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Style's change, the idea of beauty changes, and after watching the same porno over and over, its just not as exciting.
- joelito, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5hard to enjoy porn when you know the actress may be as old as your mother right now.
- louiedog, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4There are tons of (legit) movies out there I haven't seen, but I still crave more. And there are new ideas being thrown out there in porn. I saw a blog post the other day about Adventure Porn. Apparently these people drive around the country and have public sex near landmarks. That's awesome.
- sugarazor, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Please, feel free to enlighten me more. I'm not being a dick, I just don't get it when the industry keeps getting bigger and bigger (no pun intended). Porn shops aren't shutting down left and right. Studios maybe, but let's be honest, is that P2P or just poor business practices? Porn drives technology and technology drives porn, I just don't get how P2P could really be that big of a problem for them.
- mywhitenoise, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I do. Homemade's the best!
