- nanomaton, on 10/12/2007, -1/+25Sean Connery: I've got to ask you about the Penis Mightier.
Alex Trebek: What? No. No, no, that is The Pen is Mightier.
Sean Connery: Gussy it up however you want, Trebek. What matters is does it work? Will it really mighty my penis, man?
Alex Trebek: It's not a product, Mr. Connery.
Sean Connery: Because I've ordered devices like that before - wasted a pretty penny, I don't mind telling you. And if The Penis Mightier works, I'll order a dozen.
Alex Trebek: It's not a Penis Mightier, Mr. Connery. There's no such thing!
Nicholas Cage: Wait, wait, wait.. are you selling Penis Mightiers?
Alex Trebek: No! No, I'm not.
Sean Connery: Well, you're sitting on a gold mine, Trebek! - zengonzo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+22
Depends on what kind of hacking you are doing. - MISking, on 10/12/2007, -0/+16if you only had 3k, you wouldn't buy this
- n8r0n, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Sounds alot like Metasploit on an iPAQ.
- LegendarySock, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7sounds expensive, the core testing framework is pricey as hell. I'll stick with metasploit thank you very much.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7sounds cool *looking forward to it*
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3It's made for Business Security, but Yes it would be awesome to have. If it didn't cost 3 Grand.
- void, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2http://irongeek.com/all.php
- morrisonm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Did anyone else notice the title is a bit perverse? Cool item though, it's running CANVAS not CORE or Metasploit.
- nigg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2it's been done before! see this: http://www.z4ck.org/z4ck.html
- olddirtycr, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Why is it so expensive? This is a serious question its basically some software on a pen with bluetooth/wifi
- macewan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"is that a pen in your pocket"
"why yes it is and I've discovered backdoor access to your box" - o0joshua0o, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wouldn't that be corporate espionage?
- Himself, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1for the lazy feckless geek inside you!
"... soon parted" - slapout, on 10/12/2007, -6/+7I guess the pen is mightier than the sword.
- LegendarySock, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Be smart. Buy a plasma tv. I hear women prefer them over diamonds now too.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3hack n' slash ftw!
- void, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think someone already made that. Its called a zaurus 5500, much cheaper...
- tradjik, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Not a pen as in writing utensil, but 'pen' as in penetration testing.
"Penetration testing, or pen test, is used to evaluate the security of a computer system or network by simulating an attack by malicious hackers."
the slim, PDA-like Silica will "redefine" the pen-testing environment. - mtgarden, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3If only I had 3k....
- daveaitel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Someone with a clue? Awesome. :>
- mwdcodeninja, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3Only $3k? I'll take 10.
Seriously, just sit this thing in starbucks, walk through a state building or sit at the table next to your senator... Take a tour of Dell & MS, and Apple... or just stroll around your neighborhood...
I bet you could have a ton of fun with this little gadget! - mankyd, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Because the customers who should be interested in this sort of thing can afford it. This is not made for home users or casual hackers by any stretch of the imagination. It is made for security professionals who want to test the networks they are in charge of.
- BrianHoliday, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0It looks like that is what it is, it is mentioned at the end.
BH - nwoolls, on 10/12/2007, -10/+8Very cool article. Great to see something like this instead of Vista this, OSX that, Ubuntu that, etc.
- josegutz, on 10/12/2007, -7/+3Does it also function as a pen? Can you write with it?
