- SteveHoltAD, on 05/31/2009, -20/+80twitter is retarded
- BD86, on 05/31/2009, -0/+39But with a title like "Best Video" you know that virus is gonna spread like wildfire.
- moylann, on 05/31/2009, -10/+37Another way to avoid virus is to not use lame twitter.
- ChaosProfessor, on 05/31/2009, -1/+25ok
- genericdigger, on 05/31/2009, -5/+23BLINDLY CLICK THIS LINK! http://virus.com/

- inactive, on 05/31/2009, -2/+13Media Access Control?
- Mawds, on 05/31/2009, -0/+11Wherever that link is posted, some retard will click it.
Doesn't have to be on Twitter. - inactive, on 05/31/2009, -1/+11Who cares about a virus spreading, if it says “Best Video”, it's well worth the risk.
- Bangaarang, on 05/31/2009, -1/+9But its a really good video though.
- dhughes, on 05/31/2009, -1/+9I did too - here is a pic for the squeamish
http://bayimg.com/dAaGoaaCf - BxBoy, on 05/31/2009, -12/+20***** TWITTER
- angelschambers, on 05/31/2009, -2/+9FTA: In a strange turn of events, someone has analyzed the data and determined that twitter was the virus and the virus was literally trying to put itself out of it's misery
- netneutrality, on 05/31/2009, -0/+7I tested the page, prepending "view-source:" to the URL in Firefox, and it consists of a (removed) YouTube video and a 1 pixel iframe, and that frame redirects to the text "err". Whatever the virus was, it seems to already be down.
- renanrrinaldi, on 05/31/2009, -0/+7If the virus is programed to spread it's links using your Twitter account, why not broadcast that?
- ChaosProfessor, on 05/31/2009, -0/+6EFF YOU SPAMMER!!
- FLarsen, on 05/31/2009, -1/+7@ChaosProfessor:
That's good and all, but I'm more interested in your IP. - Quicksilver4648, on 05/31/2009, -0/+5True. You should have called the file "virus.exe.png".
- CATSCEO2, on 05/31/2009, -0/+4***** off and die please, thank you.
- Philbert, on 05/31/2009, -0/+4I understand it's the best.
- seandfeeney, on 05/31/2009, -1/+5ooo I can't wait to get that tweet and click the link!!! I run linux...
- mwerks, on 05/31/2009, -0/+4Done, what next master?
- xino, on 05/31/2009, -1/+5Another way to avoid viruses is to stop using computers.
- h99d, on 05/31/2009, -6/+10What's wrong with Twitter?
for all those who say twitter sucks and users of twitter are retarded... what do you propose instead? - Yage2006, on 05/31/2009, -2/+5Finally a twitter story that I find entertaining :)
- scarz99, on 05/31/2009, -0/+2Putting the link to the site in the description was smart...
- mrBitch, on 05/31/2009, -1/+3Another way to avoid viruses is to stop using Windows.
- tacojohn48, on 05/31/2009, -1/+3Intellectual Property?
- hydrodev, on 05/31/2009, -0/+2I looked into the trap Ray!
- okitasan, on 05/31/2009, -4/+6I find twitter is pretty useful to keep up with what your real friends are doing at the moment. Most of my close friends/roommates are on twitter so it kind of acts like a personal forum or chatroom for us when we need to organize a hangout or ask the group a question, etc etc.
Everyone keeps saying "get a life" or "only losers use twitter", but I find that the simplicity of twitter helps me keep updated on my closest friends easier than facebook or anything else does o_o - mrBitch, on 05/31/2009, -0/+1Damn, I love Ghost Busters!
Winston Zeddemore: Hey, wait a minute. Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey! Hold it! Now, are we actually gonna go before a federal judge, and tell him that some moldy Babylonian god is going to drop in on Central Park West, and start tearing up the city?
Dr. Egon Spengler: Sumerian, not Babylonian.
Dr. Peter Venkman: Yeah. Big difference.
Winston Zeddemore: No offense, guys, but I've gotta get my own lawyer. - diggcommentguy, on 05/31/2009, -1/+2Hello, David Hughes.
- perrym, on 05/31/2009, -4/+5why does everything has to relate to twitter somehow?
this is just a virus of some kind.
if i paste the link in an email is it an 'email virus'?
what about on here. would that make it a 'digg virus'?
what if its published in a newspaper? does it become a 'newspaper virus' then?
NO! its just a ***** virus.
***** the twitter link.
/im not that bothered about twitter one way or another (i use it to keep track of a few of my fav band but i dont ***** with it or whatever) but im sick of all the stupid references to it all the time. - JudgeMonkey, on 06/01/2009, -0/+1I guess you couldn't post the youtube video? The best one ever?
- dhughes, on 06/01/2009, -0/+1 Hello! That's me.
- soulpatch, on 05/31/2009, -6/+7get a life. on twitter people don't actually give a ***** about what you're saying or doing outside of their own hopes that you watch them on what they're doing. It's a pathetic circle.
- Nintendesert, on 05/31/2009, -6/+7Suicide.
- JudgeMonkey, on 06/01/2009, -0/+1Also, this affects your twitter account, so it's a twitter virus just like one that attacks your computer is a computer virus.
- HeavyWave, on 06/01/2009, -0/+1Natural selection!
- rdoger6424, on 05/31/2009, -0/+1SWINE FLU TIPS!
- WoWii, on 05/31/2009, -1/+2If you use twitter on anything other than a smart phone...you fail.
- orville1151, on 05/31/2009, -0/+1Cough, cough, cough. Thanks, now I'm sick.
- chillybeans27, on 05/31/2009, -1/+2Stephen Colbert recently twatted something to that effect.
- Philbert, on 05/31/2009, -0/+1Not entirely. I use it on my iPhone with Twitterfon, but there are certain times where people post links that are either not viewable on the iPhone due to flash or just not as enjoyable to view on a small screen. In those cases I ake a mental noted to click the link on my computer when I get home.
- asgardshill, on 05/31/2009, -0/+1Seems legit to me.
- fugazied, on 05/31/2009, -1/+2... or just get a mac or linux OS.
- JohnnySoftware, on 09/01/2009, -0/+1This just goes to show what is wrong with social web services replacing actual URLs with shortcut URLs that are redirected to the target page - if it even is a page.
Internet users should be made aware of where the URL points before they click on it and/or asked for confirmation before they are redirected to that destination before their browser retrieves it. Common sense, really. - BoostingBlue04, on 05/31/2009, -0/+1...and add it to your Blocked Sites
- brainflakes, on 05/31/2009, -0/+1Think it's gone dead anyway, loading juste.ru up (*with* js disabled - important that) shows a real youtube video and presumably what is the playload iframe with nothing but text "err"
Wouldn't recommend going anyway, in case it comes back or is doing browser sniffing etc. -
