Phishing can happen on any site on any server, doesn't matter if it's Linux, OS X, BSD, ASP, PHP, PERL, APACHE...whatever combination of technologies you use...you can't really battle human ignorance. - maverick999, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0I'm glad I never joined that stupid site...
- jnorris441, on 10/24/2007, -3/+2If you fall for phishing you deserve it. They should have gotten their credit card too..

As much as I dislike myspace, I find a certain amount of irony in these comments. People should take a look at where they're at before they start laughing at things like Myspace. Digg is not exactly known for it's mature, saavy viewing audience.
Best part is half the people here probably have myspace accounts. - WDot, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Nice. But that's a reality when you have websites like this, so I hope people watch their step from now on.
- lollerskates, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Hahahaha.
Perhaps they will stop taking those angle-shot pictures. - KYDS3K, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1You haters need to take a chill pill . . . I use MySpace to promote my DJing, find out info on deals (i.e. "anybody have the hook-up on car insurance?"), keep in touch with people from college . . . it's definitely a useful social networking tool. Get a grip!!!
- Demagogue, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Funny
- jamesey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0omg shens!
- jamesey, on 10/12/2007, -4/+0*****
- sgtkillmore, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0awesome
- holiday, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I just have to say it because your cynicism is truly annoying...
I get that My Space is Horrible..., but what you have to consider is that even though it may not bee the social gathering that you had hoped for i.e. a bunch of lame techno geeks who would literally consider a night of playing some RPG with friends online a night out...
Consider this this for everything that sucks about My Space, no one has been able to successful replicate an online community as vast or popular. Therefore people are willing to put up with these "growing pains" in order to see the future of online networking/communities come alive.
So call it whatever you want, the fact is it will be around for a while... - ZenWarrior, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0This really has nothing to do with Microsoft. *Any* computer can be hacked. The real issue is that of completely inept password management by MySpace users. Anyone who used the same password for MySpace, Yahoo, MSN, PayPal, etc. has now learned the hard way what we all have been told countless times--do *NOT* use the same password across various accounts. (But, there are still those who insist on learning the hard way. Lesson learned now?)
- Ashra, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0Man, that's hilarious. None of my friends fell for the phishing. I taught them well..
Back to EQ2 - wafflecoptaz, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1YOU FAGZ WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND THE [M]
- ShiiInABox, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Great idea. Next lets digg a story that lists people's name, dob, ss#, current residence and phone number. Maybe even their credit card numbers and their pet's name. Are you people retarded?
- clumsyninja, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Yeah, everyone saying 'serves those myspacers right' are idiots. I rarely use the site, but it has a purpose. It's great for promoting indie stuff.
