McAfee Seeds Mac Virus Threat FUD

darknet.org.uk — McAfee uses scare tactics to persuade experienced Windows users switching to Mac to protect their new computer, despite the - in reality - very low risk. As a Mac user myself for 16 months, I have never had anti-virus software on my Mac and I've never caught a virus. That may change, but I see no serious threat yet.

  • ianonline, on 09/05/2008, -0/+1One thing I like about having a Mac is not having to slow the start up sequence by loading anti-virus software and wait for it to update the virus definitions.
