India bans Blogspot, Typepad, Geocities

in.rediff.com — India's Department of Telecom has banned Blogspot, TypePad, Geocities as of last Friday. The government issued instructions to ban a 22-page list of blogs, but ISPs seem to have taken the easy way out and banned entire domains. You can get around the ban with proxies like http://pkblogs.com/[Blogspot blog name]. Pakistan did the same in March.
