- Alphateam, on 07/22/2008, -12/+232So if I do a bunch of crap I don't understand and get account on places I have no idea what they are I can figure out who is calling.
Great thanks! - john2kx, on 07/22/2008, -8/+131Games?
- inactive, on 07/22/2008, -4/+89WTF? My VoIP blocks blocked calls, tells them to unblock and call back. Problem solved.
"Here's what you do..." SILENCE... ***** you! - tech42er, on 07/22/2008, -2/+59Great. Now all I need is Asterisk and a Flowroute account...
- inactive, on 07/22/2008, -19/+61Linux, is there anything it can't do?
- phibit, on 07/22/2008, -2/+35When you call people, you don't want them to know it's you? Don't you just end up telling them at some point anyways?
- lca473, on 07/22/2008, -1/+33Or, you could skip all of this and just answer the phone to find out who it is.
- Gorgonzola44, on 07/22/2008, -0/+28And when you finally get through all of that and find out it WAS Jimmy from across the street that prank called you, you'll look at yourself in the mirror and ask "Was it worth it?". It wasn't.
- john2kx, on 07/22/2008, -0/+23After looking at those games... I think you just proved my point.
- johanm, on 07/22/2008, -6/+27Kevin Mitnick is a lot more than a "crafty phreaker". understatement of the century.

If you are able to complete that then I think you would have no problem with this. - phibit, on 07/22/2008, -1/+20Haha awesome. As I read your comment, he said "Anyways, that's what you do, it's pretty obvious."
Yeah thanks, your low resolution youtube video and spotty voice-over really clarify. I was able to follow along with the video and everything. Obviously. - phibit, on 07/22/2008, -5/+22Please me sexually :(
- chiptricky, on 07/22/2008, -5/+22Hack the planet!
- XternalHD, on 07/22/2008, -0/+14But can I block my caller ID from this unblocking my ID?.
- tonightonfriday, on 07/21/2008, -11/+23cool, i would have dugg it if there was talking throughout the whole video. i was kinda bored watching the pointer
- inactive, on 07/22/2008, -2/+14Nice spam!
- EntangledPhysx, on 07/22/2008, -4/+15Your doucheness is why you'll never get laid.
- funkyB, on 07/21/2008, -4/+15I don't think so...
Aside from the demo showing two cell phones, which are certainly not VoIP, i'm pretty sure using the SIP takes care of it for you. - zdiggler, on 07/22/2008, -0/+11I don't accept call if you don't have Call ID enabled. If you're want to hide, I don't want to see you.
- Briii, on 07/22/2008, -3/+14Dude, come on your on digg you should know better
- stuffradio, on 07/22/2008, -5/+14I am so looking forward to the time when commercial games come out for Linux natively by default!
- ControlcChris, on 07/22/2008, -4/+13I just answer my phone like im a police department when its says "Restricted"
They usually get scarred and hang up.... - eraser34, on 07/22/2008, -0/+7SpecialK16, Like when you call to get rates for a hooker?
- Chakat, on 07/22/2008, -0/+7No, it can do that too

- evillawngnome, on 07/22/2008, -0/+6Hey, at least there wasn't awful music throughout, with Windows Movie Maker instructions on screen.
- SwK386, on 07/22/2008, -0/+6ok 1) you dont nessecarily have to have SIP to do this... we have been doing this for YEARs with asterisk and other things... this is not a new thing... SIP just makes it easier since not everyone can decide on how to do the privacy stuff (theres a few ways to do this with sip including Remote-Party-ID and P-Asserted-Identity (along with P-Prefered-Identity and a few others)
Fact of the matter is there is another thing called the ANI that they are really passing thru and this works for 99% of the calls you will get and is still available on things like ISDN lines, some SIP providers (sip providers worth a damned strip it it before they forward your device the call) The only reason this made a splash was because Kevin covered it at HOPE - scoottie, on 07/22/2008, -0/+5its called let the phone call go to the answering machine
- alpha88, on 07/22/2008, -0/+5Run Photoshop?
- davidbeile, on 07/22/2008, -0/+5Well, I hate to say it bud, but you can't even grasp basic grammar, much less computer literacy.
"Too* many* complicated words."
If you want to sound like an idiot, do it right. - oglovero, on 07/22/2008, -1/+6yeah, and people are working on it . ...
- eSentrik, on 07/22/2008, -0/+5If you have a PhD and a reasonably dedicated stalker, this video is for you!
- phibit, on 07/22/2008, -0/+5You: Hello, who is this?
Caller: I'm a private Caller.
You: Dammit :( - nystud162, on 07/22/2008, -0/+5I just forward them to the police department...
- atgmac, on 07/22/2008, -2/+7That's OS X (or a very good theme).
- 335io07, on 07/22/2008, -1/+5my head just blew up
- lickmyback, on 07/22/2008, -0/+4Man, vi + Mac = weird.
- inactive, on 07/22/2008, -0/+4I had VoIP from Packet8 for a while. Interestingly enough, numbers which were blocked on the caller id would almost always show in the web based logs.
One time I had some teenagers leaving vile but harmless prank voice mails late at night. Having their number I decided enough was enough and called their house on a Saturday afternoon to speak with mommy... lets just say I didn't get anymore prank calls from them. - CobaltBlue, on 07/22/2008, -0/+4It won't work with telemarketers. Most have a pbx and pri's so they can put whatever caller id they want.
- MysticKatDaddy, on 07/22/2008, -3/+7It won't get you laid
- jgarland79, on 07/22/2008, -0/+3RFC3325 FTW!
- advthry, on 07/22/2008, -4/+7This must be the year Linux takes over the desktop! lolololololol
- dosher199, on 07/22/2008, -1/+4What OS will?
- SkullAndXBones, on 07/22/2008, -5/+8I think it's getting Dugg because he's using Safari.
- tcnarss, on 07/22/2008, -2/+5I always thought it was just root slash period workspace slash period garbage period
- LiquidShield, on 07/22/2008, -0/+3Exactly. If there is no name or number on the caller ID I do not answer, and I dont give out my cell phone number so if someone REALLY needs to call who does have my cell phone then they will call that...
Granted its cool that you can do this, but for practicality completely not worth it. - phibit, on 07/22/2008, -0/+3When I make calls, it's not a secret :)
- phibit, on 07/22/2008, -0/+3Nono, I was asking someone to please me sexually.
- doctorfungi, on 07/22/2008, -0/+3Dude, come on, you'RE (see what I did there?) speaking English. You should know better.
