- benharv, on 12/15/2008, -6/+66Wait, this is NOT an article from The Onion?
- 2Pharcyded, on 12/15/2008, -4/+61brilliant.
glad theyre not responsible for a country or anything. - occasus, on 12/15/2008, -5/+52911plan_FINAL.rar
- XDingoX83, on 12/15/2008, -0/+36This is the most funny thing I have heard all day.
The question now is, how do they know when they found them if no one knows what was in the documents? - Chairboy, on 12/15/2008, -1/+25Don't worry, they have top men working on this now.
_TOP_ men. - inactive, on 12/15/2008, -2/+25Yeah, yeah, yeah. Same thing happened to my wallet. A content of so much money I can't disclose it. Have you seen it?
- gbudavid, on 12/14/2008, -4/+24Any body checked Sandy Berger's Shorts??
- thcobbs, on 12/15/2008, -0/+18Sure, but sorry to tell you that once I divided the wallet, that infinite amount of money approached zero.
- jsdratm, on 12/15/2008, -6/+22I accidentally the whole German Intelligence Archive! What do I do?
- alapoet, on 12/14/2008, -2/+16Now, *that's* some secret files.
- TheMachine1, on 12/15/2008, -1/+11I took those files that were on cd-rw discs but I reburned porn on them.
- inactive, on 12/15/2008, -2/+12Addressed to demolitions.and.insurancefraud@blackwater.com
- sluddy, on 12/15/2008, -2/+11david_hasselhoffs_powerplay_masterplan.rar
- darkamster07, on 12/15/2008, -0/+9so if the contents are unknown.... how will they know if they find the files? furthermore... how do they know they've lost them? or did they just find and empty folder one day that said "SECRT STUFZ"?
- publiclurker, on 12/15/2008, -0/+8The German's may not have been historically trustworthy, but at least they were thorough in their documentation.
- fungusmonkey, on 12/15/2008, -1/+9...and sadly, the location of Elvis and Bigfoot's love cabin in the German countryside is forever lost.
- vertigo32, on 12/15/2008, -3/+11Historically, the German government hasn't proven to be extremely trustworthy.
- katerpilar, on 12/15/2008, -0/+8they have TOP SECRET written in red all over them
- Nidy1, on 12/15/2008, -0/+7The whole thing?
- ALiberalMind, on 12/15/2008, -1/+8What do you mean, "no one knows what's in them"? Apparently somebody does since they wrote them.
Another reason to support open government. - nurbsenvi, on 12/15/2008, -1/+8MakingGoodCars4Dummys.pdf
Stolen by GM - cle2105, on 12/15/2008, -2/+8Sounds like Nixon's ghost was hired as a consultant
- ZoomBoy, on 12/15/2008, -1/+7Torrent link?
- ASfinkterSezWut, on 12/15/2008, -2/+8 I'm sorry... I had to take them. I was sent from the future to prevent the destruction of the Earth by stealing these files, faking Elvis' early death by vomit and transporting him to Betelgeuse, and preventing the LHC from starting up this year. Sadly; I've failed; the lynch-pin of the plan required preventing Britney Spears from marrying Federline and becoming a total whore... Her child with Gordon Freeman was to one day lead the Human race against the unholy Children of Ulrich and Hettfield and the Combine.
Sadly, I'm dying from my battle with the stooges guarding the LHC with their Plasma rifles, And now I'm desperate; the LHC must be prevented from full operational mode or the spatial/temporal rift it creates will destroy the earth. If that can be done, Kanye West must be put in a giant blender and force-fed to the unholy Mettalican offspring to prevent their union with the Combine infiltrators. Please, someone must take up this task while there is still time.
The fate of the Earth, the whole Galaxy depends on it. - hollismb, on 12/15/2008, -0/+6Yes, but that just means that you've found SOME top secret documents. Not THOSE top secret documents.
- bradleyland, on 12/15/2008, -6/+12Can we stop this already? I've viewed maybe 6 Digg articles while skimming my RSS this morning and every god damned one of them has someone mentioning the Onion. It's like the entire planet woke up and discovered theonion.com some time last week.
- aliguana, on 12/15/2008, -2/+7microfilm or it didn't happen
- oninbonin, on 12/15/2008, -2/+7I seriously thought it was an Onion article too..I mean when you get a headline that says "Government lost files so secret their contents are unknown" That's pretty ***** ridiculous sounding and now very scary because it is true that this government can't keep their ***** together enough to communicate about secretive documents.
- slvrbullet87, on 12/15/2008, -3/+8Are you that ***** stupid?
- Frost9999, on 12/15/2008, -5/+9Governments shouldn't have secrets anyway. Seriously, what's the point?
- tavallai, on 12/15/2008, -1/+5Great. Now we'll never find out how Heidi Klum was created. :(
- Virgule, on 12/15/2008, -0/+4Security through obscurity failed again.
- kilroyy, on 12/15/2008, -1/+5If this was the U.S. government I think we would disbelieve that the information was truly lost at all, and assume we are being told lies. Are Germans any more trustworthy when they are in power?
- HueytheFreeman, on 12/15/2008, -0/+4Oh yes, I remember a wallet like that, it had about $ ████████████ in it. Was it yours?
- kilroyy, on 12/15/2008, -3/+7Ever consider doing stand-up?
- Frost9999, on 12/15/2008, -0/+4Actually I worked on a government contract while I was in IT and with my clearance was able to see all the stuff they kept secret. It's all boring nonsense they mostly want to keep from the media. For example - why are crime reporting statistics kept in a secret database? The list goes on forever...
- slvrbullet87, on 12/15/2008, -0/+3All you need to do is the file, and put a in your head
- ophello, on 12/16/2008, -0/+3secret_moon-base.zip
- kilroyy, on 12/15/2008, -1/+4...that was the point I was ever-so-subtly implying, but thanks.
- Fhwqhgads, on 12/15/2008, -1/+4No, *****.pdf
- bradleyland, on 12/15/2008, -1/+4Nothing in the news is unbelievable. Google results for "you can't make this ***** up" returns 1.26 million results. In large enough numbers, even the uncommon becomes common.
http://www.google.com/search?q=you+can't+make+this ... - tonkboogie, on 12/15/2008, -5/+8I'm Digging this cuz I do it all the time
- nydwarf, on 12/16/2008, -0/+3That's what happen when you let Colonel Klink and Sargeant Schultz run your security!
- JoeParanoid, on 12/16/2008, -0/+3And how will they know if they find them? "Hey, that looks unfamiliar and damning, must be ours!"
- wifirewire2, on 12/15/2008, -0/+3No!!..

LikeAnyFailedBusinessShould.xlsx - chicachoc, on 12/15/2008, -2/+5This is the 9th time this month I looked at a headline and thought it was from the Onion.
Edit: Skimmed the thread and someone made a similar comment. Well... that's what it feels like. - CylonsOfTheLamb, on 12/15/2008, -0/+2Yeah, anyone that scoffs at that should ask the rest of western Europe.
- richlw, on 12/15/2008, -0/+2No more Black Mesa....
- Jicima, on 12/15/2008, -0/+2I'm here for you man...sorry you failed, but maybe we can re-go back and do the whole Britney thing agian earlier than you tried it last time? Let me know...I'd also like to take Obama's mother to planned parenthood for a visit after she becomes pregnant with him...you know, just to explore her options and all...
