- dazparkour, on 02/05/2009, -0/+18Make a fool proof system and the world will produce a better fool.
- Takteek, on 02/05/2009, -0/+14So they give you a fake parking ticket, and the website is "Horrible Parking Archive" which let's you "view pictures of your or someone else's horrible parking". What kind of stupid scam is that? They would be much better off just asking people to pay their "fine".
- blankman, on 02/05/2009, -0/+13you'd think he'd make a fake payment site for people to pay their tickets and make money, instead of annoying them and try to get useless spyware and viruses on their systems.
- mostie, on 02/04/2009, -1/+13Jerks
- WestonP, on 02/05/2009, -0/+7Wow, it would be kind of a clever scam if their website wasn't so incredibly crappy. That really gives it away.
- JFitzpatrick, on 02/05/2009, -0/+7Parking tickets with URLs? Pffft amateurs.
It's way easier to set up a bunch of porn sites and have people all over the world, millions of times a month, become infected with your virus. - Smegzor, on 02/05/2009, -0/+7That wouldn't work here. You get a ticket, you go to the council in person and you pay it. Its a completely fool proof system.
- AkronGuy, on 02/05/2009, -0/+5Unless there is an option to pay by web, or to see evidence of your infraction, then I’m sure people would want to give it a try. No way can you speak for everyone in your town.
- upick, on 02/05/2009, -0/+5Evil but genius
- ChubbyCheese, on 02/05/2009, -0/+4what?? I'm from ND and this is news to me...then again, I don't really watch the news.
- Greengoo, on 02/05/2009, -0/+4To view pictures of your or someone else's horrible parking or to upload pictures: CLICK ME FOR THE PICTURE SEARCH TOOLBAR
^^ This guy seems legit! - skubajon, on 02/04/2009, -0/+3Some people come up with the biggest scams on the planet. Although, I would be pretty pissed off if I came to my car and saw an advertisement on my windshield for a dating website!
- edstate, on 02/05/2009, -0/+3Wow, evil.
- CompleteLime, on 02/06/2009, -0/+3Knowing how much people procrastinate, I doubt many remembered to go to the site.
- DaClub, on 02/05/2009, -1/+4Every one of these "malicious web sites" are the same thing. A site tricks you into downloading a file. A Trojan gets installed on your computer. The same people keep falling for it.
And the world keeps on spinning. - somepuertorican, on 02/05/2009, -0/+3Evil Genius?
- Disjunto, on 02/05/2009, -0/+3best idea ever.... coming soon, parking ticket spam
- inactive, on 02/05/2009, -0/+2They are going to get so busted...
- Durrok, on 02/05/2009, -2/+4There is a website and they don't want people going to it or it going up in page ranks in search engines that have not blacklisted yet by mentioning it. It's just common sense.
- MountainManMark, on 02/06/2009, -0/+2lol thats actually exactly what i was thinking
- xero69, on 02/06/2009, -0/+2I've seen people fall for the same thing on Craigslist. They respond to a brand new car being sold for $1300 and the seller directs them to his "blog" to view pictures of the car. Then the person installs something without even checking to see what it is and then they are amazed that they got hacked.
- yamikaze, on 02/05/2009, -0/+2So according to the description, only hybrid cars are targeted?
- sw0rdz, on 02/06/2009, -0/+2Those bad boys were showing up around West Acres Mall. My class (Computer Science at NDSU) got a lecture on it and ethics.
- URnotheonly1, on 02/05/2009, -0/+1wow, clever
- xLSDx, on 02/05/2009, -0/+1Sheesh. They could at least throw in some penis pills when you pay the ticket...
- dseher, on 02/05/2009, -0/+1To be fair, it seems like most of the tickets I've seen are indeed on the cars of people who park like idiots.
- santixx, on 02/05/2009, -0/+1No chain is stronger than its weakest link...
- Grognor, on 02/07/2009, -0/+1Evolution doesn't directly mean you have to not believe in any religion.
I've in fact rarely ever met a religious person who didn't believe in evolution.
Maybe that's just because I live in a nice, rational place, but still. - bobsworth, on 02/05/2009, -0/+1Its mostly happening on the UND campus
- Ruken, on 02/05/2009, -0/+1Yeah we all got emails from the UND president. A good number of students were tricked.
- CaroleWeis, on 02/05/2009, -0/+1Oh man!! Some people are such jerks.
- CLAWC, on 02/06/2009, -0/+1Idiots. Read this:

Man, people are dumb. - norml2000, on 02/06/2009, -0/+1I live in Grand Forks and heard about this earlier today. Crazy I am seeing it here on Digg. It reminds me of a site I used to go to: youparklikeanasshole.com . Left these on a few cars where they parked like *****.
- J0hnnyBlaze, on 02/05/2009, -0/+1why make u buy the fake antivirus when they can just skip the whole middle step and make you pay the fake ticket?
- abhiroop, on 02/05/2009, -0/+1In Singapore you usually pay the fine online.
- HamatoKameko, on 02/06/2009, -0/+1In my experience, it's the same way in the States.
Unfortunately, people are gullible. - inactive, on 02/05/2009, -0/+0That's actually a good observation, because presumably they're making money off of the advertising in adware...
- DeceasedVirus, on 02/05/2009, -1/+1I live in a little city and the local Church walks around and places flyer's for the church on windshields. I understand their point of view however I see more evidence of Evolution then Creation so I tell them to f*** off. . . They don't come to my block anymore.
- inactive, on 02/05/2009, -7/+1The article never actually tells you the website. They even block it out of the screenshot. Who are they trying to protect? Maybe there is no website. Buried as inaccurate.

What is Digg?
