- chadu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14because of the immense depths of ibm's site, it just now was found.
- btipling, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7I wish digg would add a more programming/technical oriented version of itself - completely distinct from the regular digg - with more submissions like this that make it to the front page. I would make it, but then I would just be a copy cat.
- Bogtha, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Digg is *supposed* to be a tech news site, but it's being overrun by politics and things like Gatorade rafts. You don't want a copy of Digg, you want the original Digg.
The long-term solution to Digg's focus problem is to create more sections, make it easier to filter out the sections you aren't interested in, and to make it possible to promote an article to the "section homepage" for fewer diggs than it takes to promote an article to the main homepage. You know, like Kuro5hin did back in the 90s. - heinousjay, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2The XML isn't encrypted at all using SSL, just the transmission of the XML. The distinction isn't even subtle, so I'm not sure how you could have mistaken it.
- ibjhb, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I'm not sure why this is needed because if you use SSL the XML is encrypted anyway...
- tybris, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1There is a report old news button...
- jjct1, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2What, you couldn't did up a WS-Security encryption article? At least it would have been slightly fresher. This is old stuff.
