(Note: post not an accurate representation) - yocouchdigga, on 04/10/2009, -13/+47if you listen closely you can here the macfags snickering...
- inactive, on 04/10/2009, -0/+34Talk about media hyped-up *****. I'm sure some massive virus will overwhelm everything! This will be just as scary as Y2K!
Sometimes, I think people want to live in perpetual fear of the bogeyman. - nojoegohome, on 04/09/2009, -5/+32Hyped
- DDION, on 04/10/2009, -1/+26I keep calling it 'Cornflicker'
- anonymousmedic, on 04/10/2009, -4/+27Skynet is becoming Self Aware people.
- BicBall, on 04/10/2009, -1/+19dug for worms icon, great game
- underStated, on 04/10/2009, -0/+16"It is a strange fate that we should suffer so much fear and doubt over so small a thing."
Dugg because people are paying me to do something as simple as Windows Update. Thank you, Conficker, for being such a media darling. - herrshuster, on 04/10/2009, -1/+17Get a room, you two
- antdude, on 04/10/2009, -0/+15Worms 2D FTW!!
- brwmstr, on 04/10/2009, -1/+16i think the only reason people care about this is because conficker is kind of fun to say.
- WibWobble, on 04/10/2009, -7/+22common sense ftw.
Anti virus software is the biggest scam around. - Squirrel1337, on 04/10/2009, -1/+15Sounds good to me.. We need some excitement -_-
- nymphetamine, on 04/10/2009, -1/+13Or you could play as that little worm in Worms. After all these years, I still love that game.
- Zaggynl, on 04/10/2009, -1/+13Because updating windows is _that_ hard.
- inactive, on 04/10/2009, -1/+13You seem tense. Try playing a gam- Oh, wait.
- yocouchdigga, on 04/10/2009, -3/+14I think I love you too.
- DavidTurnbull, on 04/10/2009, -1/+12and give me a key to said room.
- bonofosho, on 04/10/2009, -2/+13Hate speech are you serious?
Now while I will admit being called a Mac user is a serious insult that should not be taken lightly, I think you would have to be incredibly self absorbed to consider it hate speech. - senae, on 04/10/2009, -3/+14I can't wait for the first big virus to hit an apple OS, see where your smug attitude is then.
- Goshyouidiot, on 04/10/2009, -3/+13I don't hate macs but I think I love you anyway.
- vidar808, on 04/10/2009, -0/+9Until you actually do get a virus, malware, trojan, etc!? There is a huge amount of stuff out there that really sucks!
- ChunkerMunker, on 04/10/2009, -0/+9Its "hear" not "here."
- Tek12, on 04/10/2009, -0/+7If you're going to correct someone, at least get it right yourself.
Bonzai Buddy - inactive, on 04/10/2009, -1/+8yer exactly, story reads:
It downloaded a file !, we have no idea what it is but it could be <insert media scare tactic here> - adolfojp, on 04/10/2009, -0/+7That reminds me of Bunzy Buddy. The malware that people didn't want me to remove.
- skate3214, on 04/10/2009, -5/+11NOO! This is not the case, don't you think that their would be someone, somewhere who would want to be the first to successfully create a worm or virus that infects Macs that uses a exploit somewhere in the OS? Of course their is. But it hasn't happened yet not because of market share but because of the fact that OSX is generally built more secure than what Windows was. Hell Mac OS7 had an even smaller market share and their was viruses on that!
Just something that annoys me...
\Windows and Linux user - superkeer, on 04/10/2009, -0/+6I really hope this worm does something funny on an epic scale.
- srg13, on 04/10/2009, -4/+10Clearly you don't know much about software security...
- underStated, on 04/10/2009, -0/+5On April 28th at 2:30 PM, all infected computers will have their volume settings turned to maximum and be heard to fart continuously for 11.5 seconds. That's what the new downloaded instructions are.
Something like that? - Fogdelune, on 04/10/2009, -0/+5I think I will call somebody that the next time they go 20 miles below the speed limit in the left lane.
"Move it, you stupid conficker!" - x713, on 04/10/2009, -7/+11And that is why I love my (any operating system without significant market share) =)
- inactive, on 04/10/2009, -0/+4Isn't it just a BIT EERIE that the same day conficker gets an update is the same day The Cybersecurity Act of 2009 introduced in the Senate by U.S. Senators John D. Rockefeller (D-WVA) and Olympia Snowe (R-ME).?
The name Rockefeller should be raising them eyebrows. - Myztry, on 04/10/2009, -0/+4for the 9 year old bug dating back to Windows 2000...
- inactive, on 04/10/2009, -0/+4Practicality fail.
- Eorster, on 04/10/2009, -0/+4I have a new file in my windows temp directory as well, what should I do!! Holy crap another new file! Wait... No... Now there is another one! Dude I am so infected. Why am I getting so many new files in my windows temp directory? Nooooooo!!!!
- max1018, on 04/10/2009, -0/+4SirTraumaPony: Even as a Mac user you made me laugh.
Utnow: Calm down. - inactive, on 04/10/2009, -0/+4oh noes did i miss y2k v 2 the next generation :(

- adolfojp, on 04/10/2009, -1/+4Downloading the security updates that were released last year! ftw.
- inactive, on 04/10/2009, -2/+5conficker this, conficker that...
Well I've got ***** mumps, which incubates for 16 ***** day before symptoms appear.
If the infected machines start to feel as rough as I do, I'll purchase then eat a hat. - larsalan, on 04/10/2009, -1/+4also nmap-zenmap
- godofallcows, on 04/10/2009, -0/+3I bought the xbox version and played it like 5 hours straight~
I am awesome, and in love. - highgeere, on 04/10/2009, -0/+31. an update to conficker included a list of 250,000 IP's for the trojan to contact for instructions. those are spread across many networks and countries, and it is not going to be possible to deal with them all.
2. commands given to the worm by its controllers are signed, so it won't take commands from just anyone. - MacEnvy, on 04/10/2009, -0/+3oh snap
