- seventhcrow, on 10/10/2007, -7/+180Weren't the lead based paint toys enough?
- Salgat, on 10/10/2007, -8/+152Isn't this an act of war or something..? And how come the US military isn't on a dedicated private network? Even if it means building new networks across the country, you'd think putting such important information on a worldwide LAN isn't exactly safe.
- berb, on 10/10/2007, -5/+128Worldwide LAN (local area network)= oxymoron?
- j1ggy, on 10/10/2007, -14/+132Do you honestly think the US government hasn't hacked into China's defense system before?
- pimpinainteasy, on 10/10/2007, -21/+133China so solly for haxoling you!
- relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -7/+108im in ur network, farmin ur gold
- Bricks, on 10/10/2007, -5/+90I wouldn't worry. Its probably cause some VHS tapes of Hackers finally made it over seas. This fad will die down as soon as they get The Net
- Shaggy3, on 10/10/2007, -6/+89If it was Iran we would've bombed and invaded them.
- ussr2003, on 10/10/2007, -7/+65Ah but that's the beauty of it. They were caught, we weren't ;)
- elipabst, on 10/10/2007, -1/+51There are 2 networks. A general unclasified network that is connected to the internet and a dedicated network which is encrypted and doesn't connect to the internet at all. See:

- Coded1, on 10/10/2007, -2/+44So at least now *someone* knows what the ***** is going on .
- MaxPayne3476, on 10/10/2007, -0/+30*Whoosh*
It was a joke buddy, calm down. - synwolf, on 10/10/2007, -1/+30I have a sinking feeling China's going to pay the Western world back for everything that's happened since the 1700s.
One way or another. - physphd, on 10/10/2007, -1/+27...or they can tell the difference between North Korea and China.
- bonedog73, on 10/10/2007, -0/+25The pentagon has computers?
- jmcdice, on 10/10/2007, -1/+24All your base...
- Terc, on 10/10/2007, -5/+27Well, not so say that the US will fall due to a hack, but history would show that EVERY world leader falls eventually. Granted, our world has become more stable in the last few centuries, but to expect the United States as we know it to stand for all eternity is ignoring all of history. To call someone an idiot for stating the obvious is... idiotic.
- Terc, on 10/10/2007, -0/+21... poor guy. Go read a book or something.
- Tiak, on 10/10/2007, -4/+24The l/r thing is the Japanese....
- hambend, on 10/10/2007, -2/+22It doesn't even work for Soviet Russia. Just let it die.
- Celeron, on 10/10/2007, -6/+25If China attacks us, we're so screwed. No more cheap imports too, so there goes a part of our economy!
- gamer31, on 10/10/2007, -3/+22that meme doesn't work for China, only Soviet Russia
- shacknasty, on 10/10/2007, -3/+22Do you really think these kinds of people even care about/know the difference?
- arcticblue, on 10/10/2007, -0/+19The SIPRNET most definately is connected to the internet; physically at least. All SIPR traffic is tunneled with pretty heavy encryption. They have boxes that sit on either end of a connection that do all the encrypting and pipes it right on the the same lines that NIPR travels on. I believe the encryption key changes every week or every month. Can't remember off the top of my head. We had a fiber line coming in to my shop in Iraq that hit this box. The box separated the SIPR and NIPR traffic. NIPR traffic was sent to our NIPR router and SIPR traffic was decrypted and sent to the SIPR router. Since they travel over the same line, they share the same bandwidth too. If everyone on NIPR is checking out Ebaum's World, then SIPR starts to crawl. I set maximum rates on our NIPR line to prevent this since SIPR is much more important.
So, no, you can't access Digg on the SIPRNET, but there is some interesting stuff on there. I found a night-vision video of a guy humping a donkey on there o.O There's lots and lots of hidden porn too (besides donkey porn) even though it's not supposed to be on there. - Mononuclear, on 10/10/2007, -5/+23The answer to all the worlds problems are just to drop bombs and kill everyone on the planet.. then there won't be any worries. I vote they drop a bomb on top of your house first.
- Mesmorize, on 10/10/2007, -0/+18China doesn't make our bombs >.>
But it isn't a good idea to attack the country that is buying up all your debt. - windohs, on 10/10/2007, -1/+19are belong to us
- supermanred, on 10/10/2007, -2/+19Yes you would have. Seems the US only attacks countries that offer little or no military reistance and who's armaments are outranged by miles.
Iraq? Yes. North Korea? Oh Yeah. China? Woah, no let's talk let's form a treaty... - MOJIRA, on 05/17/2008, -0/+17South Park? Yeah, that was the Japanese in South Park, not the Chinese.
For Chinese in South Park please see "gorram Mongorians!" or "***** Wok/Airlines". - supaklaw, on 10/10/2007, -1/+17Easy now there Rex, I know your survivalist group had an exciting game of paintball this weekend, but worry about the fleas in your trailer first.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+17You have no idea where China is do you? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MeOkx0q1qFs
- Tiak, on 10/10/2007, -0/+16Somehow killing over a billion people, doesn't sound like a good idea, even after you put it so charmingly.... strange....
- Tiak, on 10/10/2007, -1/+16He's the secretary of defense...
- lsatkins, on 10/10/2007, -1/+16Well their unsecure networks are obviously internet accessible, but the secure networks for the DOD/DOJ etc. are on an encrypted network that isn't really accessible from an outside source.
- Kappa00, on 10/10/2007, -0/+15That would be General Tso's chicken... but nice try.
General TSAO is a videogame character.

- Enisity, on 10/10/2007, -0/+14i guess it wasnt.....
- smqt, on 10/10/2007, -0/+13ask miss teen south carolina?
- OBKenobi, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14Do you think China is stupid enough to leave their "defense system" exposed on the internet?
- DoTheFandango, on 10/10/2007, -0/+13The MSG will bring you back.
- corvairkid, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13Halliburton would set up a special division to run the LAN and then sell that division to the Chinese. Once the sale had gone through, they would use the cash from the sale to buy shares in the Chinese company that bought their LAN running division.
- kolobcreek, on 10/10/2007, -2/+14Is it just me or does anyone else thing they should change their name to "The Peoples Oppression Army"?
- Tiak, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12...And our unclassified network that was intruded upon contains none of that...
China still has plausible deniability. We can't see much of anything behind the Great Firewall of China, they can claim it was an independent group. (such that any move would screw s politically). - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -4/+16"And in other news. A woman freaks out because six guys spoke a language she didn't understand."
- ussr2003, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13We make up a good portion of their economy as well. If anything walmart will have to relocate its manufacturing plants to India or something. :P Also, they may have numbers but we a huuuge superiority in terms of technology. One more thing, China's got no proxies near USA. We have Japan, S. Korea, and Taiwan right on China's doorstep.
- Tiak, on 10/10/2007, -0/+11We'd lose imports, but they would lose the several trillion dollars we owe them... Honestly, we might have the better side of that deal.
- youareretarded, on 10/10/2007, -3/+14How is that war on terror going?
- blackcloud333, on 10/10/2007, -2/+13Oh no. The Chinese will find out that we have nukes to drop on them.
- smackhero, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12maybe they need internet access for WGA validation and to get windows updates. isn't it great to have an OS you must have connected to the internet to keep patched up? especially as microsoft won't let you install patches manually offline ( http://www.autopatcher.com/ ).
