Well, you really only need to use a linux live cd (like auditor or whax), meaning you don't really have to install linux on your computer. You just have to download the ISO, and then burn it to a CD and then put it in your cd-rom drive and reboot, and you're good to go. - kracker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1*coff*

- zarlwilliam, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0for those who wanna do this... get yourself Auditor or Whax which are GREAT linux live cds and make sure u have a prism based wifi card if you wanna use aireplay. as kracker mentioned the broken episode 1... they just sit and collect packets (so they didnt HAVE to use a prism card) which means it could take hours days or months to get enough IVs.. so today people use aireplay to inject packets to generate plenty of IVs within 20 min or less.
mac filtering can help... but there's nothing you can really do to protect WEP. I suggest using mac filtering PLUS WPA with a good stong pass code over 25 characters long. Currently the only way to crack WPA is using a dictionary attack.... so if you create something long and unique enough, you're good to go.
these tutorials are a great learning tool, but watching these alone won't cut it. Each situation is different and requires different approaches. Check out the remote-exploit forums and tutorials. i'm sure the whax site is just as good.. i just have been using auditor lately... if you still need help i gueest heading over to the irc channels and talk to the guys who write this stuff.. they're great guys who are willing to help out. - blubill, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's a dell truemobile 1300.

And they sent me a reply back listing what would work. You have to have the right chipset in the card to. I use the Prism.

Simply find the "dmz server" setting on your router and set it to an ip that does not exist on your network. (ie. 192.168.0.99)

Confusing. for me the Video is both A and more B as I some of the commands the person was doing I had No idea why he/she was doing them. Are there Movie Notes? for the steps involved.
