- kevman459, on 03/22/2009, -3/+111If I were only allowed to have 2 Firefox add-ons, they would be NoScript and AdBlock Plus.
- ATL, on 06/20/2009, -1/+90Ad Block Plus is the best one, that's always the first plugin that I install.
- inactive, on 03/22/2009, -0/+40Most of these addons seem to just be for the sake of hiding your porn.
- mr_ziy, on 03/22/2009, -1/+24You suck
- inactive, on 03/22/2009, -0/+18AdBlock Plus:

http://www.google.com/ads/preferences/plugin/ - Premier, on 03/22/2009, -0/+15Pretty bad when a website with an article about security & privacy has 9 hidden tracking elements on it. If you install one of the addons they recommend, Ghostery, you'll see this.
- jjintheuk, on 03/22/2009, -2/+15Perhaps the article should be called - 'List of add ons which are useful for when you're searching for porn'. Thats what most of the addons seem to be for. Unless you are a budding terrorist using your family computer.
- SquareWheel, on 03/22/2009, -0/+13"adult content blocker"
Who would want that? - derek20cali, on 03/22/2009, -0/+12...What else is the internet for?
- XeroXenith, on 03/22/2009, -1/+12syntax, you're a genius. This guy should do stand-up!
But seriously. 1,215 comments and 52 diggs? I call troll. - SquareWheel, on 03/22/2009, -0/+11@jazzbeaux: You don't seem to understand internets very well. Downloading a sites content to two browsers at once is GOING TO LIMIT ONE OF THEM.
- AbbasJin, on 03/22/2009, -2/+12Yeah dude, get outta under the rock you've been living since the last decade.
People user Chrome, FF3 and IE8 now. - Voide, on 03/22/2009, -0/+9SWAT teams are pretty well trained and could get the job done naked....but it doesn't hurt to throw in some Kevlar.

I do like K-melon for the speed though, but then, other browsers like Safari 4, Chrome 2, Opera 10 have far gone ahead of K-melon in terms of speed, while still maintaining a balance of features. And speaking of bloatedness, did you know that K-melon weighs 5.6 MB, while the latest Opera 10 (with Turbo) is just 4.9 MB, and has atleast 10x more features?
Btw, it's not FF, it's Fx. Check FAQ#8: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/releases/1.5. ... - deathmatch, on 03/22/2009, -0/+5admuncher is bogus, youre one of those nubs who love to have random apps run in the background hoggin up your *****. Adblockplus >

- dextermanas, on 03/22/2009, -0/+4Opening a single site at the same time isn't really a good way to test browser speeds.
The best way to test browser speeds is to run dedicated browser benchmarks, like the sun spider javascript test. Besides, there are too many variables that affect these tests when an average user wants to test it out. For instance, on my machine, Opera 10 > Safari 4 > Firefox 3.1 > Opera 9.6 > IE 8 > Chrome 2 > Safari 3 > Chrome 1 > Firefox 3 > IE 7, but it could be different for you.
Btw, check FAQ #8 of this:
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/releases/1.5. ... - Rodalli, on 03/22/2009, -0/+4You said that already.
- MightyUpsetter, on 03/22/2009, -1/+4go away idiot.
- brathbun, on 03/22/2009, -2/+5I use most of these, pretty good collection
- XeroXenith, on 03/22/2009, -0/+3There will never be a winner. At the moment, IE is winning but with Fx in a position to turn the tables - though even that will be dethroned eventually.
(Probably by Opera. /s) - fracai, on 03/22/2009, -2/+5How the heck could they leave FireGPG off the list? http://getfiregpg.org
This comes off less "security and privacy" and more "hide your porn and NSFW browsing from your boss". - Ymeg, on 03/22/2009, -0/+32: Because they work.
- radison2, on 03/22/2009, -0/+2Lastpass isn't on the list but it has literally changed my online life for the better.
- westyvw, on 03/22/2009, -1/+3Winblows only. Face it dude, its the limitation of your OS. Ad Block does what it does very well, the extra crap in Ad Muncher is trying to cover the swiss cheese that is windows. Additionally, no way am I installing software that wants a registration code.
You can accomplish everything that admuncher offers without it all together, you just dont know any better. - LordSturm, on 04/03/2009, -0/+1Clearly he's a spammer.
Better Privacy is on the list and already does that. - NobodyWhoCares, on 03/22/2009, -0/+1Yup. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/206 ...
Precisely why I like Firefox.. not the fastest, but definitely the most flexible. - SquareWheel, on 03/22/2009, -0/+1Also, it's FoxyProxy.
- zerodepth, on 03/22/2009, -3/+4dude no one cares about your as muncher
- inactive, on 04/03/2009, -0/+1trend security lists this site as undesirable
- secrity, on 03/22/2009, -1/+2The Windows code didn't work on my computer.
- skribeForti, on 03/22/2009, -1/+2Tor Button wipes your login cookies requiring you to login in again to every site once you restart your browser. May not be a problem for most people but annoys the crap out of me.

CookieCuller - deathmatch, on 03/22/2009, -1/+2is there an addon that would make it possible to pull out your tabs into a new window? for some comparison etc?
- InsaneMachine, on 04/10/2009, -0/+1When I open up a new tab I just middle click on one of my bookmarks, or middle click on the home icon, thus solving the problem of opening a blank page.
- azamo, on 03/22/2009, -1/+1Couple more things: http://improvefirefox.com/protect-your-privacy/
- Xanias, on 03/22/2009, -1/+1I replaced Adblock Plus with Stylish and made my own adblock rules. It's much faster that way and allows me to change the look of other websites, too, without the need for 2 separate addons. Other than that there's NoScript of course. I really wish they'd include an option to make new tabs open your homepage instead of about:blank so I could uninstall the addon for that, too.
- rodrigo74, on 03/22/2009, -1/+1You haven't read much of the news lately, have you? Google for "pwn2own 2009"
- Ryan1249, on 03/31/2009, -1/+1I would add Objection to the necessary plug-ins. Deleting Flash Cookies is as important as the rest.
http://www.surfbouncer.com/personal_vpn_faq.htm - westyvw, on 03/22/2009, -2/+2LOL. Like deciding the best perfume to put on *****.
- dextermanas, on 03/22/2009, -1/+0^ Anyone who would be concerned about adult content unexpectedly popping up when using their computers in front of family members?
@krc1: Works on Linux with Wine. - dextermanas, on 03/22/2009, -1/+0No, but I think Ad Muncher is a highly undeserving program. I don't mind the undeserving part, but it annoys me to no end when people think AdBlockPlus is the best there is, because it isn't.
- sessone, on 03/22/2009, -2/+1disable text ads and mouse over popup garbage with with greasemonkey and teh scripts - http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/3637
