Yahoo! counters Android with simple web services tools

linuxdevices.com — Yahoo! has announced its own toolkit aimed at improving mobile phones as Web services clients. Unlike Google's Android, with its Java Linux apps and client-side processing, the Yahoo! Mobile Widgets let developers build simple server-side apps for any browser-enabled mobile phone.
