- TylerC, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10Finally.... I have been waiting for a centralized collection.
- zamoose, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Try WP-Cache: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/plugin/wp-cache/
- Ashex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5About damn time!
I've found some really great plugins, unfortunately a lot of them are no longer developed due to lack of popularity. Hopefully with the official plugin directory, we can keep this from happening. - phileplanet, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4The new site is great but I don't like the fact that it is completely tag based. It was more organized when everything was under categories.
- johnwyles, on 11/08/2007, -1/+5I am surprised WordPress did not do this sooner but I am glad they did. I just added a few plugins of my own and am browsing others.
- fatadamblog, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3***** http://wp-plugins.net/ better watch out!
- Dumbledorito, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4So will any of these plugins stop the Digg effect from turning their servers into smoldering heaps of slag?
- fatdog789, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Yes. WordPress has good DB servers. Plus, it actually uses the cache settings....
- gamerzworld, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3When I go to download............:
bbPress database error: [Table 'wordpress.topicmeta' doesn't exist]
SELECT meta_value FROM topicmeta WHERE topic_id = 0 AND meta_key = 'mod_rewrite'
Doesn’t look like you’ve installed bbPress yet, go here. - Hayes, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Despite the quotes that may hint at a [sic], the word "offical" are his words, not WordPress'.
- dokeshi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I really miss the old days of going to a site with cool stuff to download and there being a "show all" option. Tags are ok, but... eh.
Still a good start, though. - AhrenBa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The "popular" list and the user ratings will definitely be helpful in deciding which plugins to use!
- hman2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I don't think any of the file download links are working, for example: http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/no-www.zip
Oops. - d0odx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yeah no joke. I gave their adsense ads some sympathy clicks b/c that income stream is going to DROP soon.
- CheapDigWannbe, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Should I be blamed if I don't even try clicking links from Digg's first page that link to wordpress?
- d0odx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i was thinking exactly the same thing.
- coolguy07, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1sounds cool
- Rekzai, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Hmm no SEO plugins =(
- wyattearp, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1personally, I like entries that look like this:
GeshiSyntaxColorer
... Program languages colorer based on Geshi engine ...
Posted January 1, 1970, 12:00 AM
which doesn't work, but that's ok because code snippet 2.0 is better :-) - RadiatedAnt, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I somehow wanted to read, "Wordpress launches real server" or something to that affect. :/
- Rekzai, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Woot
- Sizzor, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1Nice links to both the Author and Plugin homepage for more info on a particular plugin.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1this just in wordpress is spam!
- inactive, on 05/12/2008, -6/+1Good thing it's a BIG BONUS, not one of those crappy Big Bonuses.

What is Digg?
