Way to clog up the internet tubes, ass. - spyk3d, on 10/12/2007, -1/+21Is it a reflection on AOL how many of it's users are searching for random ways to kill stuff?

...yeah, someone has some issues. By the way, user #9636476 lives in Sarasota, Florida, and is also looking for a man to give anal sex to. WHY?! - Sanchez, on 10/12/2007, -4/+192281868 are ***** satan or demons or gremlins 2006-03-01 03:43:55 4 http://www.inthesetimes.com

You should be. Digg's running awfully low on blank posts. We're likely to run out within the decade at this rate. - WarpFox, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8NO WAI
- Amplix, on 10/12/2007, -4/+10same here... Digg effect?

not rly... - briantech, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6You really have to ask yourself if an aol user had to search the internet just to find google?
Hello... they're AOL users. They're one step above Senator Ted Stevens when it comes to internet literate users. - apocalizer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Okay, it looks like that nobody actually did search for "best ISP" but there were some searches for "internet service", albeit less than 100. I bet AOL tech reps phoned each and every one of them trying to get them to stick with AOL.
@wapp:
It would've been nice if the digg comments were editable for 3 minutes like they said when I registered so I wouldn't make that mistake. Besides, someone told me that the Internet wasn't made of tubes, but rather a dump truck. - trunkster, on 10/12/2007, -3/+815737462 does not like drugs with his free boobies.
- apocalizer, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7You make it sound like you don't need to look it up in Sarasota.

- merreborn, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Clearly, 2281868 is a true /b/tard
- Wisgary, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5User number 336865 is quite the little deviant. Looks for everything from masturbation (he wants lessons and stories about masturbating with men) and pregnant ladies to illegal child porn. Wow. He even looks for child rape stories and incest stories. God damn people are ****ed up. http://www.aolstalker.com/user.php?uid=336865
- YourTechSupport, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Don't be too hard on Ted, he at least sort of grasps the concept of tubes.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6Now all we need is a way to map between AOL user idea and e-mail address...
- Strangers, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I love that people are searching for "www.example.com" rather than using the address bar. Especially the 671 that searched for www.goggle.com.

I bet 90% of users have made porno related searches - skillcraft, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Hear that noise? That is the sound of a lot of people about to get screwed because of the release of this data.
- speaker219, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7Is it just me or is the site down.... I get "1-" results for everything
- szembek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Already done: http://www.kaxy.com/
- hzmp32001, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Thanks for the post. Of course the site is blocked by my company :-)
- yuletide, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2How is it any less unethical to provide an interface for the leaked data, and to encourage people to look through it than it was for AOL to leak it in the first place?!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2i can't believe 110602 actually type in "www.victoria'ssecert.com"...i'd have to say not even 12
- carguy84, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2If I were you, I'd put in custom results if "google" is being searched that much, and make it a link to http://www.google.com, instead of just laughing at the employees.
Well, laugh at the employees first, then implement ;)
Chip- - LoungeActx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2User 2127170 searched "picture of a dog poop sandwiches"
Now that's nasty! - apocalizer, on 10/12/2007, -4/+6Hmm... apparently nobody searched "Best ISP" or "Internet Service". Perhaps AOL blocks you from using their search to find a better service provider?
- cremate, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3lol
- saska, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Frankly, I agree. It was a hideous mistake for AOL to make the information public. It is irresponsible to make it available when AOL has taken it down. If it were corporate information about AOL, I'd feel differently, but in this case AOL committed a breach of privacy against its users and now everyone mirroring it and offering a search interface for it is perpetuating that breach.
Wonder if any of you have relatives who use AOL? Bummer if they were on the list. - h1tm4n, on 10/12/2007, -3/+46 mirrors on fast servers for the big file:

- virtualmachine, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2That has already been done, its called Tor
http://tor.eff.org/ - Bound4Doom, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Actually I am a web developer for a large fortune 500 company. I developed our global intranet and as a search engine we have a nice internal google search appliance. This gives the power of google internally on a corporate intranet. People use our internal search engine to search for www.google.com all the time actually it is in the top 50 searched. Also they search for www.yahoo.com as well. Seriouly that is what they type in. "www.google.com" and "www.yahoo.com" some frustrated users when that returns no results you will see them type in google.com then just google. Having just an internal search engine and being able to see what people search for often brings a smile to my face. One time when we were closing a location in Tennesee the top search that month on our internal search engine was Tennesee Lotto, Lottery Results Tennesee, www.tenneseelotto.com. I guess that was the Tennesee retirement plan.
- afx1, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Thx Johnny-Come-Lately.
- lowerlogic, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Some AOL users even searched for "www.google.com", heh.
- hzmp32001, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Correction, there is a story about it. Interesting indeed...
- LoungeActx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I hear ya, and agree with you. But by doing this, it makes it a mess that AOL can't clean up, and sweep it under the rug. It's a harsh lesson, but I bet you AOL will think twice about user privacy from this point on.
- hzmp32001, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Anyone notice that there is no reference to the release of this data, the bastards analyzing the data, or the apology on Netscape.com?
Don't know why I thought there might be... - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1aol.cyber-knowledge.net might be slow 437 MBs or something
- montanna, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@yuletide The data wasn't leaked, they published it and then pulled it as far as I can work out. Your point still stands however.
- canUdiggit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1OK, so when do we get to see the all of the queries that Digg users are running on this site? How ironic would that be if the guy who put up this site logged all of your queries and posted them online!
